Chapter 21 - The Start Of Something New

On the other side of the wall, Alex, who at first wanted to sleep found herself on her bed with Fidelia watching an action movie. It was the favorite genre of Alex hence her fanaticism for Ethan! Fidelia was more into ancient costume movies, and this one had the two preferences combined so the two girls were engrossed in the movie when Fidelia's phone ring!!

Seeing the name on the screen, Fidelia smiled and showed her phone to Alex, who gave her a wild smile. "Look like finally, I will have a new brother in law" Alex exclaimed urging Fidelia to take the call! Fidelia smiled and walked to her room before answering the phone.

"Hello Mr. Zhang "

Christ was a little lost, it was his first time being at a loss of words while talking to a girl. Plus the fact that she was calling him Mr. Zhang was too disturbing for him. "Hello, how are you doing? You left me this morning without a word so I thought I should call you to have some news... " He decided to go straight to the main point anyway.

"Mr. Zhang if I remember correctly, you told me that you didn't want a relationship and it is exactly what I did; so you are calling me for? " Fidelia was pleased by the situation as she had an upper hand on the man.

Christ one more time couldn't think what to say "look, I know what I say, and I want to correct that if you give me a little chance. Just give me 2 minutes, please?"

"I'm listening..." Fidelia was all smiles, pleased at the pleading tone in Christ's voice.

Christ sighed; he couldn't believe he was actually nervous to talk to a girl. "After today I feel it in my soul, that I found somebody who can make me change my ways like hanging with my friends or make me let go of a lustful night. I've been there, done it, f**ked around, but since I met you all I want is you. I can't even think of another girl since that day at the airport, I couldn't take any other woman. I am not used to sleeping alone, but since I met you, I found myself going home every night. It's clear that I'm hooked, so I thought I should try maybe dating for real… Thus, I want to ask you if you want to try me as a boyfriend? " He declared all he had at heart and how he felt in one go not wanted to dwell on unnecessary words.

Fidelia heard all of Christ's words with attention and it melted her heart. She was already liking the guy that why she slept with him, but to hear what he had said made her even more attached to him and her heart started to beat crazily. It was clear she couldn't say no to him. "Well, I had to admit that I have a really good time with you, and I think that I can try you as my boyfriend, but you need to follow my lead, ok?"

"Yes, madam... "Christ had a wide smile on his face! He had thought that he would have to do more for Fidelia to take him seriously, but to his surprise, she had already said yes.

At the same time in her bedroom, Alex was feeling quite happy and engrossed in her movie when her phone ring too. It was a text from Ethan, she smiled as soon as she saw his name displayed on her screen.

"How you doing, young lady? That feeling that you giving really drives me crazy you don't have a play about the joke, I was at a loss for words first time that we spoke"

Alex recognized the lyrics immediately; they were from a song by Nelly Furtado. As they were in the restaurant she told him about her passion for connecting songs to the events of her life. She didn't think Ethan could do it either. She was glad she could play this game with someone other than Fidelia.

"You lookin' for a girl that'll treat you right? You lookin' for her in the daytime with the light?" Alex continued the lyrics of the song happily.

Ethan was amused that she was really playing along with him. He wondered if she also understood why he had chosen that song, and decided to continue their little game.

-Ethan: "You might be the type if I play my cards right, I'll find out by the end of the night"

Alex somehow guessed what Ethan was trying to tell her with this song, so she kept playing along.

-Alex: "You expect me to just let you hit it? But will you still respect me if you get it?"

-Ethan: "All I can do is try, gimme one chance. What's the problem? I don't see no ring on your hand, I'll be the first to admit it; I'm curious about you, you seem so innocent"

Alex instinctively looked at her left hand, "You wanna get in my world, get lost in it?"

Before Ethan could send an answer, he received another text from Alex : "Boy, I'm tired of runnin', let's walk for a minute"

At this, Ethan grinned, knowing that her last reply was a sign that she might be willing to enter into a relationship with him.

-Ethan: "Promiscuous girl, wherever you are; I'm all alone, and it's you that I want"

Alex knew that the part of the song after that was an answer to what Ethan asked her. She knew that if she responded to that, her love relationship with Ethan wouldn't be a simple joke anymore. She took a certain time to answer before decided to send her answer.

-Alex: "Promiscuous boy, you already know, that I'm all yours, what you are waiting for?"

Reading that Ethan was now sure that she had finally decided to accept him, he was smiling like he never did before, a deep smile that showed his pretty dimple.

-Ethan: "Promiscuous girl, you're teasin' me; you know what I want, and I got what you need"

- Alex with a shy smile: "Promiscuous boy, let's get to the point. Cause we're on a roll, you ready?"

Alex knew that the part of the song after that sentence was an answer to Ethan's question. She knew that if she answered it, her love affair with Ethan would no longer be a simple joke. She took some time to answer before deciding to send her response.

-Alex: "Promiscuous boy, you already know, that I'm all yours, what you are waiting for?"

Reading that Ethan was now certain she had finally decided to accept him, he smiled as never before, a deep smile that showed off his pretty dimples.

-Ethan: "Promiscuous girl, you're teasin' me; you know what I want, and I got what you need"

- Alex with a shy smile: "Promiscuous boy, let's get to the point. Cause we're on a roll, you ready?"

Ethan finally stopped with the song game and called Alex with happiness filling all his heart. He wanted to be sure it really was a "yes." "I've never been so ready "beautiful"! I know you understand what I mean by this song. So can I interpret your answer as an affirmation of my offer to be your real boyfriend?"

Alex lay on her bed feeling all giddy, her cheeks a deep red as she answered. "I think the song is clear enough. It's okay to try, it's the first time I've had this kind of feeling and I want to feel more of it. "

"So I'm an experiment ... Kind of excited." Ethan chuckled.

"Don't think of it that way. But seriously, this is the first time I've been this close to a man, so please take good care of me.. I've already been abandoned once, I won't put up with it a second time!" Alex was talking seriously this time, she wanted him to already know what to expect from her and what she couldn't take.
