Chapter 85 - Alex VS Alan 2

That same morning Eliott sat lazily in his office working as if nothing had happened the night before. Alan's lousy attempt to turn the public against him and Alex did not bother him in the least, because after all, Alan was only helping him destroy PRICELESS even sooner than he had planned. Since Alan wanted a war, he was happy to be his opponent! He knew his lousy post would not be able to really degrade Alex's reputation, plus he knew they had evidence to refute the craziness he was spreading, and of course, he was still there for his wife if things got out of hand.

As he thought about Alex a smile could be seen on his face and a second later his mood became even happier when his phone rang and the beaming smile of his pretty future wife lit up on his screen.

"Hey, honey, what's up? Missing your husband?"

"Mr Jensen, aren't you going ahead of yourself? As far as I know, I am still single, I don't even have a ring!" Alex smiled, it was always a pleasure talking to Eliott.

"Oh, so my wife only wants a diamond ring and not the handsome and sexy man that I am!... That really breaks my heart," Eliott smiled sheepishly. This kind of conversation with Alex puts him in a good mood, he was even more sure he wanted her for life.

"Mr Jensen, diamonds are women's best friend, but since I am a smart woman, I prefer to choose the handsome man who can buy me lots of diamonds!"

"I knew the woman I chose was the smartest!!!"

"And I know that my husband is the best!!!"

"Omg, you don't know how good that sounds to my ears wifey!!!"

Alex laughed at Eliott's response, she didn't know why, but her heart fluttered every time he called her wifey! She felt like she belonged somewhere and that was a nice feeling!

"Honey, I need a help!"

"Oh; so my wife is only calling me because she want something from me! Now that making me sad!"

"Well if I don't run to my husband for help, where else could I?"

"I'm really satisfied with this answer wifey!! So what can I do for you??"

"I will need Ethan today, do you think you can make time for me?"

"I will always have time for you! Just tell me what I need to do!" 

"Thank you, love!"

Not long after the call, Christ came to him with a big smile on his face that showed how in a good mood he was. 

"How are you? You made it to the hot search last night! Satisfied?" Christopher was happy to tease his friend, it wasn't every day he could have something to tease him! Indeed, it was not the first day he'd been on the hot search, but never before had he been trending because he was sharing a woman with his other self! The thought of it was just too funny.

"You are having a good time ugh? Is that so funny?" Eliott asked, smiling, his mood was really good, he had just talked to his sweetheart and nothing could spoil his good mood at that moment.

"Yes, it is!!! Also, I thought it was really funny how a wolf-like Alan could make such a big mistake! It's basically like he ruined his own life with his hands!"

"Well, he was pretty frustrated when he left my house yesterday! My mom and Alex had shaken him up with all the revelations of the day! I think he was pretty desperate because he knew my family was not going to help him. And when you are desperate and angry, you tend to make mistakes, and this one is a big one!!! Even a big wolf like him, who has made many people suffer and has always come out of his plans without guns, can make mistakes when he is too angry and desperate to think clearly. He has just opened his own grave! And I'll be glad to bury him slowly in it." Eliott looked angry as he said this. He was sitting elegantly in his chair, playing with a Rubik's cube in his hand. 

"Did you do what I asked you to do?"

"Yes, of course, I am taking care of the son right now and it will not take long to get it done, don't worry! By the way, do you want me to make a statement about the post? I mean, you are accused of sleeping with a woman who's cheating with you!!! You don't see a joke like that every day!!" Christ laughed, thinking about the ridiculousness of this accusation. It was just refreshing to see Eliott's name in a sex scandal for once. Ethan had had a few, but with Eliott, people were too afraid to try something like that. 

"I can see you are excited about it...that's funny, isn't it?" Eliott smiled 

"Yes, really entertaining!" Christ teased back.

"Fuck off and bring me what I ask for in no time!"

Christopher left Eliott's office with a big grin on his face, already thinking about how he would deal with Clyde Porter. It had been a long time since he had wanted to make him suffer to save the world from this arrogant and good-for-nothing man!

The effect of the RoyalStar posts was really great because the people who were slandering and calling Alex out were getting fewer by the minute. Either because they were afraid of being sued by RoyalStar, or because they felt that Alex did not really have anything to do with the nonsense Alan had told them. The comments gradually changed and instead of asking Alex to come out and explain her behaviour, people started asking Alan to provide evidence for his claim or even to come out and tell the story behind KANI. People began to wonder if Alan had really stolen it from Alex's grandfather, and if so, how and why?

Within a very short time, another issue took all the public's curiosity, while the hype about Alan's accusations against Alex slowly died down and people even asked Alex to forgive them for their behaviour.

At this point, Alex didn't really say anything in public because the entire PR was being handled by Fidelia and RoyalStar. She thought she had more to say, but to her surprise, people believed her pretty quickly and changed their target in no time.

Alan quickly realised his mistake when he came to his senses, but it was already too late to back down! People were already talking about the subject and even asking him to explain the KANI's matter. He could not believe he had made such a stupid mistake.

All his life he had always been prudent when it came to dealing with his problems; never before had he gotten himself into such disgrace, and knowing that he was the only one to blame made him even angrier! Things were getting out of hand, and he did not have many options for dealing with the situation! Frustration spread through him, and his heart boiled with rage.

Nothing good had come of it for him that day. Since Royalstar's statement, he had been attacked by the public, and PRICELESS's stock price was at its lowest. It was an economic disaster already showing the level of survival of Priceless, which was near to zero because, with that decrease of their stock price, even the bank wouldn't want to give Alan a loan.

So it was a wise decision for those involved to sell their shares so they could at least gain something before losing everything. But Alan could not let them do that to his dearest company, take away what was his greatest work. So he tried to buy these actions, but each time, he was too late or didn't have much money. He could only console himself with the fact that he still had at least a 45 % stake in the company if he took back the actions of Clyde, Aria and his wife and he was sure no one could have more than that even if he buy the other shares!

Alex on her side was relieved that people had stopped paying attention to her, but she also felt that it was not enough. She knew Alan was not going to let her win, so she took matters into her own hands and anticipated his next move by making a live video. She knew that since she had been open about her arrangement, Alan would use this opportunity to claim that she had accepted his arrangement to marry someone else, even though she was already with another man. She could not let him twist things again. She should be the one to talk about it so that people would be more likely to believe her. 

The problem was that she did not really know how to explain the situation without saying that both men were Eliott. Eliott would not reveal his dual identity until after his last movie and when he would officially become CEO of Royal Corp, so she could not tell. She thought about it and came to the conclusion that the only good option she had was to tell her story from beginning to end. 

At the same time, to prevent things from getting even more out of hand and to distract people from the KANI scandal, Alan decided to drag Alex into the mud even more by revealing what exactly it was all about.. A woman who was already in a relationship, but agreed to marry someone else was something the public would not let pass! He eagerly opened his official page to write, but to his surprise, he saw that someone had pinned a live video to his feed. When opening it his face pale minutes after minutes before his face burst of anger making him lose his cool and broke everything in his office!
