22 Peter Pettigrew

The disappearance of Quirrell had left the school baffled and a search was conducted around the whole school but nothing was found. The school was on high alert and for the next few days the group didn't do anything suspicious, they went about their business as usual but with one added thing, the visits to Hagrid's place, one to meet him and two to meet the Little Dragon, Norbert. It was so fun hanging out with both of them, Norbert was growing fast and with help from Snape, Hagrid was able to make sure he grew up without any deficiencies, for some reason Norbert always snuggled up to Jack but left after he was only given pats and rubs. One day, Jack figured it out, the Magical Flame! Norbert wanted to taste the Magical Flame, Jack's body had the aura of the flame and attracted the fire breathing creature's interest. So, he gave him what he wanted and some more, ``Tonitura Flamma!'' Jack added the Lightning from his Electrokinesis to his Mana and then fused it with the Magical Flame and came up with another destructive attack but for Norbert, it was more of a bath and a snack. Granted that Jack had kept the strength to the very minimum but even that level of the new attack was able to grill and burn a human in a matter of seconds. Slowly time passed, exams came up, Quidditch Finals happened and the year was coming to an end.

During this year, Jack had been designing a collar for `Scabbers', he had to use several rare materials and other ingredients but he had managed to do it. ``Hey Ron! Where's scabbers? I have something for him!'' Ron was surprised and he hurriedly told that he had left his pet back in the dorm. Listening to this, Jack dropped the façade and told Ron and his friends of his knowledge that the pet was an Animagus. As soon as he pointed that out, Ron's brain clicked and he made the connection, the rat had lived for too long, not a lot of minor spells worked on it and there were times when the rat had avoided the adult wizards around the house at all costs. ``That is so creepy, who the hell is it that would want to live their life as a pet of and underage boy?!'' Dean's words only managed to further creep them out and Ron hurriedly asked Jack, ``What do you have in mind?! The rat's form as a Animagus would mean that if the basta*d escaped, it would be hard to catch it again.'' Ron was clenching his teeth in anger and Jack was worried he might do something rash so he immediately told them about the collar, `` We'll use this collar, it had several enchantments placed on it, it would force the Animagus wearing it to turn back into a human and with the right command, it would seal the magic of the one wearing it!'' the kids were shocked and horrified at the sight of the collar. To a wizard or a witch, the worst thing to happen wasn't to die, it was to live and lose their magic.

That night, Ron placed `Scabbers' in his lap with disgust in his eyes. luckily the literal and metaphorical rat couldn't see his eyes and was only listening to his words, ``Look Scabbers, I got you a present, collar! I can't believe it took me this long to get you something so basic. Silly me!'' it all went smoothly and Ron had placed the collar on the traitorous rat, he immediately chucked it away as the piece of garbage it was and in mid-air, the rat began to turn into a human. ``Bam!'' as the body hit the wall, instead of a rat, there was a human?! `Oh My God! He's disgusting! The movie and the books downplayed his looks and this smell, my god, the smell is horrible!' while Jack was thinking that he had already placed the incantation to seal Peter's Magic and have his Wand at ready in case of an emergency. ``Nonononono, Noo! How is this possible?! What?! Why?!'' looking at the disgusting Human garbage in front of him blabbering, Jack was honestly tempted to use the killing curse and end it right here but he held it in, for Harry, for Sirius. Although Jack should have been able to guess from how Peter was portrayed in the movies and books, Jack still lowered his wand as he thought the person in question wouldn't try anything without his magic.

But he was wrong, Peter Pettigrew did not give up and jumped towards Ron and held him down under him and screamed towards Jack while trying to choke Ron, ``why did you have to change everything now? it was all going so well! why?!'' Ron had gotten rid of his shock that his rat was really a Animagus and now he was just pissed, ``You piece of sh*t, how much of a sicko are you?!'' while saying that, Ron used his arms and hit peters near his elbow joint and that made his face drop closer to Ron's, who used that opportunity to punch the bast*rd. with his increased strength due to his Phantom, The Golden Lion, Ron's punch knocked out some of Peter's teeth while also making him unconscious from the blow. Ron rubbed his neck while saying, ``Oh Man! I'm gonna have to shower for days to get rid of the smell!'' Jack laughed and jokingly said to Ron, ``Yeah! You should, otherwise Hermione won't hug you anymore, much less kiss! Hahah''looking at Ron's red face just tempted Jack to say something else but he saw that around Ron golden lights were appearing and he quickly changed the subject to avoid a beating. ``Hey! How about we take this rat to the teachers and see what they do with him!'' immediately Ron's anger changed directions from Jack to Peter and he went and kicked him a couple of times before using the Binding and Levitation Charms to bring him out of the Dormitory towards the teachers office.

Harry, Hermione, Dean and Seamus were all waiting in the common room in case they were needed or Peter tried to escape and joined them on their journey to McGonagall's office.
