23 The Veritaserum

``Excuse Me Professor McGonagall, I have someone here you might be interested to meet.'' This was how Jack handed the floating, now on the floor Peter to McGonagall, whose face was morphed by the shock and surprise. ``Where?! How?! Oh My God!'' she wasn't able to speak, so the kids gave her some time and she calmed down and brought them to Dumbledore's office. ``Professor Dumbledore! Professor Dumbledore!'' Dumbledore was surprised at McGonagall's behaviour, he was actually worried someone had placed a jinx on her or something. ``Minerva! Calm down, take a breath and then talk.'' Jack noticed that while Dumbledore was speaking, he used the Mana around him to calm McGonagall. While pointing at Peter and the kids, McGonagall went through what she knew and both her and Dumbledore looked expectantly at Jack and Friends. Under Dumbledore's gaze, Jack spoke up to clear their confusions, `` Hello Professor, I am Jack Williams.'' Hearing those words, Dumbledore was shocked and spoke, ``Oh my! It's an honour to meet the Genius of the William's family.'' Hearing his words, everyone was surprised, it wasn't easy to gain praise oreven recognition from the `Greatest Wizard of their time.''

``Thank You Professor, now as for this person here. We don't know who he is but during my time at Hogwarts, I had developed suspicions that he was an Animagus and I was correct. He had morphed into a rat and had become Ronald Weasley's family pet. When my suspicions were proving to be true, I created a device to capture him and here we are today.'' Obviously there were follow up questions amongst other things the Professors were curious about, like the Collar. It was an ingenious invention and one that would prove most useful for the Magical World's Governments. They wouldn't have to worry about the prisoners breaking out with outbursts of magical energy as all of it would instead be used to power up the Collar. ``Professor, might I ask you to call Professor Snape here and please ask him to bring Veritaserum. I am curious as to know who this person is and why was he disguising as Ron's pet for over 12 years.'' The change on the faces of the two teachers was visible to all, Harry was even going to ask Jack to leave it to them but surprisingly he agreed, much to McGonagall's shock and Jack's surprise. He had thought he would have to drop some clues as to he knew the truth but he soon figured out why. Dumbledore figured Harry would know one day and rather than lose his trust, he could use it to earn it.

In under a minute, Snape arrived in Dumbledore's office with his trademark Black Robes and ever-brooding face. He looked over at the kids and then noticed the body on the side but ignoring both of those things, he turned to Dumbledore and asked him, ``Headmaster, might I ask why you have summoned me at this hour and asked me to bring a vial of Veritaserum?'' Dumbledore answered his questions, ``Yes Severus, this man has been caught by Mr. Jack and his friends and they would like to know why he was hiding as a pet rat of Mr. Weasley's.'' while that was what he spoke, Dumbledore also used Legilimency to convey his messages to Snape. When the preparations were done, the tied up Peter was fed the potion, which by the way was real, Harry, Ron and Hermione had all successfully brewed it once and with his Mana Control Training, Magical Sharingan and Magical Flame, Jack's success rate in potions was hard to match. When Peter came to his senses, his disgusting behaviour once again showed up but not wanting to listen to his rubbish, Jack just told him to shut up while Ron who was perhaps the angriest out of all of them (for now) asked the all important question, ``Who Are You?!''

The Truth Potion worked its charm and Peter said his name out loud for them to hear, ``My Name is Peter Pettigrew!'' that was Jack's cue, ``You are lying, Peter Pettigrew was Harry's fathers friend and he died Twelve Yea…'' with Jack not finishing his sentence, everyone picked up on its meaning. Jack right now wanted to give himself an Oscar for his performance. But the battle was only half finished and so he continued with the attacks, ``How are you alive?! Sirius Black killed you that day!'' Dumbledore, Snape and McGonagall were shocked that Jack knew this information but then remembered his family background but they immediately remembered that Harry was in this room and were about to knock Peter told the truth that shocked even them, ``Sirius was under a spell to act crazy, I was the one to blow up those Muggles.'' While the three teachers were shocked they didn't notice Harry come forward and speak, ``It was you. Wasn't it? The one who betrayed my parents. I always knew that Uncle Arthur and Aunt Emily were telling the truth but now I know for sure. I mean, how can a man my father and Uncle Arthur consider their brother, be the one to betray them.'' if the fact that even Harry knew the truth wasn't enough of a shock to Dumbledore, Snape and McGonagall, the knowledge of the true events that transpired twelve years ago definitely was.

While they were dealing with the truth, Jack was focused on two people, Harry and Snape. Both of them were emotional people and would erupt if their family or friends were hurt andright now Jack wanted Peter to live, for Sirius's sake. But he didn't account for McGonagall, Hermione and Ron to be the ones to lose their sh*t. ``You BASTA*D! James, Sirius and Lilly considered you their friend! How dare you betray their trust! How dare you sell out my students!'' Jack had only felt this anger when Arthur and Emily heard the news of James and Lilly's death and of Sirius's capture and knew if he didn't stop McGonagall, this time there would really be nothing left to identify Peter, not even a finger. ``Crucio!!'' the torture spell, one of the three unforgivable curses, under its influence the one would suffer immense pain unbearable for those with strongest of wills. ``Death's Hand!'' before Jack could save Peter from McGonagall, Harry used his Phantom to protect he basta*d, shocking everyone, even Jack. ``Sorry Professor! He will have to wait for all that, he first has tohelp save Sirius from Azkaban.''
