86 I Won't Drag This Too Long

Arrion touched his lips with a smile. He had been wanting to do that for a while. And the look on her face!

He wanted to laugh but held it in. She had looked so stunned, as if she had never really thought that he would do that.

It had really been too long since he had last kissed her. The feeling had been almost shocking after the long abstinence. He couldn't believe he had not really felt the absence until he had been able to see again. Maybe because he couldn't see just how tempting she looked.

Arrion shook his head at his own thoughts. He probably should just find a way to let her know his identity. After all he did want his wife's attention. And her kisses. Which he could hardly get as Raven. Not without making her mad.

He shook himself out of his thoughts. Right now, it was better that he focused. His queen was trying to avenge his alleged death and he could hardly leave her to do that on her own.

Just thinking about it made a sweet feeling go throughout his chest. She really did love him, huh? He supposed he could forgive all those small slights throughout their marriage. And she had never even really treated him bad. At least he had always known she did like him more than other people.

He had just wanted to have her heart set on him. And she did. He was glad for the chance to witness the proof of it. Even if she never told him directly that she loved him, at least he had heard it indirectly.

Or was it directly? If she had not known she was talking to him it would be indirectly right?

Arrion bit his lip to keep from chuckling at his ridiculous thoughts. He was really thinking too much.

Dawn loved him and that was that.

With that thought he shoved all these musings aside for later. Hopefully they would soon be on their way home. And he would let his wife know he was alive somehow.

Waiting on the scouts to give them the okay for heading in or to bring back the terrible news that they would have to keep looking was a bit nerve wracking.

Arrion could feel a glare aimed at his back. Feeling the hairs on his prickle he turned to look. His wife looked more than a little upset with him.

The glare on her usually serene face was cute. The sudden desire to kiss her again made him turn himself back, before he did something that would make her really mad at him.

There were limits to how far he was willing to push her. He did not really want her to not talk to him for a week so he should probably stop teasing her for now. And wait to kiss her again until she knew he was her husband.

Otherwise he would end up feeling guilty if he went too far. Even if the way she was glaring at him made him want to tease her even more.
