Hearing Jiang Yingyue say that she had no experience felt like spring rain on withering flowers. His mind blossomed instantly with happiness.
Had he perhaps gotten her first kiss? If this was the case, then he would truly feel happy and honored. He might not be her first, but he wanted to be her last for everything intimate, such as a kiss.
He had managed to calm himself down again, but it was difficult. Fortunately, before neither Jiang Yingyue nor Han Qingshan could speak further, a knock came on the door, and Song Liwei entered.
"We have an appointment with a real estate agent today," he reminded them. "They are here for the sake of selling the house belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Jiang."
Hearing this, Jiang Yingyue was finally reminded that they were selling the house, and her parents were returning to their real identities.
Thinking like this, she was slightly nervous, but also relieved. Han Qingshan gave a long glance at Jiang Yingyue's lips before he turned to leave the office together with her, and they headed towards the house where she had lived in the last nine years.
The formalities of selling the house were done easily and fast. Everything was planned in moments, and after they looked at the house, they even gave Jiang Wei and Xun Huiyin a good price, much more than they had paid originally. In the end, they would be able to earn a rather large amount of money from selling their house, even after the rest of the mortgage was paid off.
Finishing off the rest of the paperwork, they returned to the office. Now they could only wait for someone to appear who would be willing to pay for the house.
Returning to the office, Jiang Yingyue was not able to enter without blushing slightly, but Han Qingshan was completely unaffected. However, from the slight glance he sent towards Jiang Yingyue, a smile flitted across his lips as he too was reminded about the wondrous moment they shared earlier.
Having ensured that Jiang Yingyue was truly going to stay with him in the future, Han Qingshan was feeling much more relaxed and happy.
He buried himself in the work he had in front of him with a good mood, and when he gave Jiang Yingyue tasks, he would be even happier.
Jiang Yingyue was happy to receive her tasks from Han Qingshan and Song Liwei. She ran from one end of the company to the other, delivered documents, fetched documents, and confirmed certain appointments.
In the afternoon, she went to a meeting with Han Qingshan at a fancy restaurant, and here they met with various directors who were rather big in the industry.
These directors were at first shocked to see that it was not Song Liwei that kept him company, but a youngster who seemed to be even younger than Han Qingshan himself, and then they were reminded of the rumors about Han Qingshan which had surfaced recently, but had been deleted again.
Could it perhaps be true that Han Qingshan was gay? If he was, were they going to be more popular if they sent more pretty boys his way?
Many had previously tried to tempt him with beautiful women, trying to win his favor, but he had maintained an appearance of complete and utter disregard for such plans. However, now he was dragging a youngster around with him, clearly someone who had no experience. Was this not the same as officially approving of the rumors?
No one dared to slight this youngster, but deep inside, most of the directors present looked down upon her. In their minds, she was clearly a poor bumpkin who was trying to reach the higher levels of society through underhanded means.
They felt that she was disgusting as a gay person, who had turned their honorable Han Qingshan gay too.
Jiang Yingyue could sense their hostility. She knew what they thought about her, but she did not really care much about it. What mattered to her was what Han Qingshan thought about her; what everyone else thought was completely unrelated to her.
The meeting took a few hours, and in the end, Han Qingshan's Imperial World ended with the main lead roles in every new drama, shows, and movies that these directors were filming.
As the meeting ended, Han Qingshan contemplated what to do next. The friends from his circle were having a meeting that night at a bar, and he felt the need to go because he wanted to know what exactly was going on with Zhou Yan.
During the day, he had heard rumors of the He family taking over the development of Heavenward District, and this had confused him greatly. He knew more than anyone else the hatred Zhou Yan had against the He family, so why suddenly assist them?
However, at the same time, he was not willing to take Jiang Yingyue with him. If she met up with Zhou Yan, he feared that he would end up as a third wheel, as they would begin talking about their past together, a past he knew nothing about.
Contemplating what to do next, he glanced at Jiang Yingyue who was looking out the large floor-to-ceiling window.
"Fengmian," Han Qingshan called out, and Jiang Yingyue turned around to look at him. The lights outside the window were shining in behind her, making it seem as if she were standing before a glittering starry sky.
"I have something going on tonight," he said after reaching a decision, "so I can't really stay home together with you tonight. I will drop you off at home, but I have to go out after."
Jiang Yingyue was slightly disappointed, but she said nothing and nodded her head nonetheless.. She did not want to hinder him when he had something he needed to do.
