Chapter 114 - Stay Out Of It

Jiang Yingyue was delivered back home to the condo, and Han Qingshan freshened up, changed clothes, and left again while Jiang Yingyue had nothing to do.

Han Qingshan, on the other hand, hurried to the bar where the others had reserved a private room and were discussing the newest changes in the circle.

As he arrived, he found that the bar was filled with people, and he walked with familiar steps up the stairs to the second floor where the rooms were located.

A guard instantly directed him to the right room, and as he entered, he found that it was the biggest of all the rooms present.

Inside were not only the young scions; there were also a few unrelated famous people who were trying to get the attention of these people.

Han Qingshan noticed that Yu Xiulan was also present, and he was surprised.

She was not usually present at such occasions. But now she was strangely enough here, and he could not help but wonder who was her target. He was not blind and knew that she had often looked for him, so he was extra careful not to give her any illusions of hope.

He nodded to her in greeting when their eyes met, but he did not walk towards her, or in any other way pay attention to her, something which made her face crack slightly, but she quickly changed back to her normal expression.

She had expected that Han Qingshan would not give her any extra attention, but seeing it in person was not the same as knowing it in her heart. It was truly hurting her, feeling as if someone had taken a knife and stabbed her chest.

Han Qingshan did not have time to deal with Yu Xiulan. Instead, he wanted to speak with Zhou Yan.

Although he disliked Zhou Yan, he had to know what his plans were, so that they could cooperate. Planning individually would end up with giving the He family a chance to escape, and if that happened, he, Zhou Yan, and Jiang Yingyue would have left a dangerous group of people that might cause problems later.

Since this was the case, he needed to speak with Zhou Yan, and it seemed that the young master from the Zhou family was aware of this, as he had appeared at the evening gathering for the sake of meeting Han Qingshan.

Unfortunately, everyone was gathered around the same table, so talking to one another was rather uncomfortable.

Han Qingshan was sitting opposite from Zhou Yan, and the rest of the scions sat down next to the two of them, all of them curious as to what had brought these two tycoons together.

"How's Fengmian?" Zhou Yan asked as the first thing when Han Qingshan sat down, his words not low and everyone at the table heard him, their interest suddenly piqued, their eyes shining with excitement. Was there something going on here that they did not know about?

"He is at home, waiting for me to return," Han Qingshan answered with a sneer.

Both Zhou Yan and Han Qingshan had unpleasant expressions on their faces, it was obvious that there was something going on between them, but as to what it was, they had no clue.

Zhou Yan's mood plummeted when he was reminded that Han Qingshan and Jiang Yingyue were living together, but Han Qingshan was not in a better mood as he was reminded of the past between Zhou Yan and Jiang Yingyue.

"What are your plans?" Han Qingshan asked annoyed, and Zhou Yan glanced at him before saying, "I will deal with it, just stay out of it. You are busy enough dealing with Imperial World anyway."

"I can manage these small flies," Han Qingshan said, about to get frustrated. He had to take revenge for the woman back home, and he could not let Zhou Yan take all the glory away from him.

"You will just be in the way," Zhou Yan continued. "Instead, until everything is done, make sure that Fengmian does not suffer from any harm."

The scions who were sitting at the table were all shocked. It seemed that something big was happening, but even more puzzling was that both Zhou Yan and Han Qingshan had an unnatural attraction towards this Jiang Yingyue.

What was so special about her? Was she some sort of Helena of Troy, able to cause two dominating families into an all-out war against one another for the sake of winning her favor?

No one understood, but Han Qingshan and Zhou Yan were both more than capable of understanding the other's thoughts. It was obvious that the other felt more than just tender friendship for Jiang Yingyue.

The gossip instantly spread in the room, and everyone soon knew that both Zhou Yan and Han Qingshan were keenly aware of the situation of Jiang Yingyue. She was protected by the two most outstanding figures of the younger generation, so moving against her would be dangerous.

Even He Julong, who was sitting at the table, was shocked to know that Zhou Yan also had a relationship with Jiang Yingyue. If they had a good relationship, why would he hand over Heavenward District to his family?

He suddenly had a bad premonition, but it was too late to withdraw; the two families had already signed all contracts.

On the side, Yu Xiulan also heard the rumors, and her eyes sparkled as she looked at Han Qingshan with undisguised love and affection in her gaze. Unfortunately, he did not even glance her way, and she was left all alone.
