12 C12: Years Of Time Skip |Part 7|

• (A unpopulated island in New World) {Year: 15.9} •

A young handsome man stood on the unpopulated island, where there's no one on it except him. He had his sword out and held it horizontally with his right hand. With his sword-like aura infused in his sword, he made a light horizontal swing.

*SWISH*

A horizontal slicing wind was made as the island's debris was cut in half. The horizontal cut kept continuing out of the island, splitting the sea away from the island. Slight spatial cracks appeared as it split the sea and then disappeared. The cut was strong enough to almost cut space itself!

Ryu had tested out his out of control sword-like aura with his durable sword, making a horizontal wind slash. "...This is going to be hard."

"Even without the sword, I still could cut the ocean with a finger if I casually make a movement..." He complained. His sword-like aura kept manifesting sword intent within his body, causing him to be essentially a sword. His sword intent was at the seventh level, which was the final level before advancing to the next realm of sword will, but he didn't know that.

Taking the sword back into the storage, he decided to start training with controlling his body power.

He didn't know that people with their Sword Intent found out about him, though not about specifically who.

...

Everywhere in the world...

All of the swordsman with their Sword Intent felt a burst of power from other side of the world. Old people with sword intent, new people with recently acquired sword intent, anyone with sword intent, they felt it.

They went fearful, it felt like a sword was hanging on their necks! The closer one was to the source, they would have nightmares of being cut in pieces. The farthest would only be fearful. But while it was fearful, most of them obtained benefits from experiencing it. Some broke through their bottleneck, advancing to next level, some gained enlightenment, and the rest only wet themselves, most of those were newbies.

All of the old men and women, that owned Sword Intent longer than the newbies, realized one same thing, the source had received the legendary trial of the Sword Intent's final level! Now they had to guess who it was.

'Is it Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in the world? No... He was at least 5th level of the Sword Will, then who was it to have attained the 7th and final level of it?!'

...

In Gloom Island...

Suddenly standing up from resting, a hawk-eyes man turned to look in the direction that he felt a powerful sword intent from. The sword intent felt like it would burst out and cut everything even the world if it wasn't properly controlled.

"I see, so he has reached that stage!" Smiling slightly, he said. There was only other man that had stronger Sword Intent than him he knew of, and it was Ryu! "Seems he has to overcome the legendary trial of the Sword Intent's final level. No one in several centuries has done it since that old man..."

Turning back to focus, Dracule Mihawk started to fight the other residents on his island. "Let's continue, Humandrills!"

...

In Mariejois...

"What?!" A white-gi wearing glasses samurai shouted suddenly as he swiftly stood up and turned in the same direction. "Someone has received the legendary trial of the Sword Intent's final level?! It's not Dracule Mihawk either..."

"Hmm?" A grey dreadlocks man with a scar on left side of his face prompted, "what's this about the legendary trial?"

Ignoring him, the samurai told someone with a Den Den Mushi to find out who it is. "Find out who received it! He's in the New World, near North Blue, investigate the islands there!"

"Y-yes!" The receiver stuttered, he didn't know what's the big deal with it. Then he hung down, and started to search.

"Hey! Tell us what's this about the legendary trial!" The grey dreadlocks man yelled at the white-gi wearing glasses samurai.

Turning to look at the other four Elders, he started explaining. "...The legendary trial of the Sword Intent's final level, is to test your capability of receiving powers that has the potential to destroy everything! Once, there was a man in the Void Century that had possessed it, and he was considered the strongest true swordsman in the world! He had the ability to cut everything, even the world itself, but for some reason history didn't reveal information about him. Only those who had stories of him passed those to their descendants."

"What?!" The other four Elders realized who he was talking about now! They had also heard stories of him from their parents, but they didn't believe it because no one else had attained the power at his level. "You mean to say someone is going to receive power like his?!"

"No, it may be beyond than his!" The samurai once again clarified, "they're only going through the trial. If they fail, they won't receive it. But if they pass..."

He stopped there, but everyone else knew what the unsaid words were. 'Even if they pass, they won't be involved in villainous acts! We could recruit him for the World Government and control the person!'

"No." A hollow voice resounded in the room, like before. "We won't be able to control him..."

"IM!" They greeted quickly.

"He is the Solitary Pirate, Ryu..." the voice informed them. "Increase his bounty again. Even if he fails, he will still gain benefits of going through the legendary trial. If you see him, either kill him or stay neutral around him. Don't attempt to recruit him, for it will be pointless..."

After that mysterious order, they stopped all the thoughts of controlling him. After waiting awhile, the samurai started. "Well, it was the Solitary Pirate once again..."

"Yes," a tall and thin bearded man with long white hair said. "Now, how much should we increase it by?"

"Seeing he has the potential of receiving power equivalent to or beyond than the three Ancient Weapons from the Void Century..." The baldie with birthmarks on his forehead told them, "Let's increase it to-"

...

|WANTED|

[Picture of Ryu (*15-years-old, young boy, shoulder-length ruffled black hair, chiseled handsome face, bright green eyes that seems to glow, lean muscular body, wearing nothing but orange shorts, showing his sculpted chest. He looked lonely due to his sword-like aura.*)]

[Solitary Pirate, Ryu]

[DEAD ONLY]

[B800,000,000]

• (In Calm Belt connecting to the West Sea) {Year: 16} •

A young handsome man sat crosslegged on his bronze dinghy with eyes closed, as the dinghy swayed lightly on the ocean. There wasn't even a sound, not even a bird. The sea beasts, fishes, and animals were afraid of the sword-like aura threatening to burst out. Suddenly...

*Hum~*

A humming sound was heard as Ryu attempted to hide his sword-like aura after a countless tries. As if the sword was being sheathed, his Sword Aura, he decided to call it officially, suddenly disappeared. "Haha! At last, it worked!"

Ryu laughed excitedly as he finally did it, but suddenly the Sword Aura burst out once again.

*CHHH*

"...F*ck!" He angrily shouted. He found out that it was like straining his muscle to hide it. Sighing, he can only keep practicing it. "At least I found a way to hide from the peoplef*cking chasing me."

Ryu had been chased down for 3 whole months ever since he unleashed his Sword Aura on the unpopulated island. It was like it was commanding attention to it. There were other organizations aside from the Marines chasing him too. They were Revolutionaries, Big Mom Pirates, Beasts Pirates, the Underworld, and the Cipher Pol.

The Revolutionaries, he understood. They only wanted to recruit him for their cause, to rid the world of the Celestial Dragons. But he didn't feel like doing political business, he'd rather just simply travel around and have fun. So he rejected them when they finally had the chance to even talk, from a distance because of his Sword Aura. Ryu was afraid of accidentally harming them.

The Big Mom Pirates, he found that Dogtooth, a Sweet Commander of theirs, wanted to take him to one of the Yonko, Big Mom... He wouldn't mind going to Big Mom himself, but not when he could potentially kill innocents should they attack him there. So, he just rejected and said he'd come later. Dogtooth took his word for it, he also use Den Den Mushi to inform Big Mom. Big Mom didn't mind because she understood that Ryu could easily destroy her utopia. Her dream was the most important, well, second to a important person to her.

The Beasts Pirates, led by Kaido of the Yonko, wanted to recruit him. One of the All Stars had come to him and said that Kaido wanted to recruit him, even giving anything he wanted. Well, he wanted them to scram the f*ck away. That All Star person got enraged and attacked not thinking of consequences. Ryu only dodged, but his Sword Aura had manifested air swords in defense, so the All Star got injured heavily and had to run away. He didn't need to escape because Ryu let him go.

The Underworld had chased him down due to a certain person's request. The requester was called Joker. Joker wanted him alive, for some reason. But Ryu wasn't about to play along with him, so he just casually ignored them and left.

Finally, the Cipher Pol, the secret organization of the World Government, were chasing, no, more like hunting him down. They received orders to either hunt him or stay away from them, but it was an optional order. They could hunt him or not. Only few had chosen to hunt him. Ryu just ignored them, they couldn't kill him anyways.

He also found that his bounty increased for some reason...

Getting out of his thoughts, he started to focus on subconsciously hiding the Sword Aura. "Back to practicing, then."

• (New World) {Year: 16.4} •

After practicing four months, he finally could hide his Sword Aura, like sheathing a sword. He no longer needed to do it consciously, he could do it subconsciously. But the Sword Aura still existed there, if anyone is in a certain range of him, they'd feel like a sword was hanging on them, but don't know who's doing it. But at least he was no longer easy to find. "Just 5 more months until the minimum is reached."

[Remember, it's not guaranteed to be a year, it could be 2.5 years instead of 1.]

"Mmn." He grunted in acknowledgement. "What about between those?"

[No, it won't be between 1-2.5 years. It will be exactly one whole year or two years and five months.]

"Alright," Ryu then returned to focusing on controlling his Sword Aura. He could hide it, but it didn't mean he could control it.

He wanted to learn how to control it completely, because of two reasons, the abstruse he chose and the offensive Sword Aura could be.

First, the abstruse he chose for his Sword Intent was Desolate. It made him look lonely, he noted that when he received his bounty paper... He didn't realize his abstruse was manifesting in his Sword Aura until he saw his bounty paper. It would affect his battles if his Desolate abstruse energy fused with him during the battle, it'd be too excessive to the point he thought it wouldn't be funny. The enemy and anything near his attacks would simply rust away, leaving him desolate.

Secondly, the Sword Aura would sometimes automatically manifest swords offensively without him knowing, causing cuts to appear on his body and around him while sleeping. Whenever he was awake and felt like it was going to go offensive, he'd either dodge it or take it with his body. Thankfully, his body and soul were refined during the unconscious state he was in back after using a false God-tier power.

He had managed to successfully added in Laws into his will, one of the requirements to be a God. With Conqueror's Haki, he infused Law of Emotion in it, which is why he had suddenly looked down on the Celestial Dragon instead of ignoring him. He had also fused laws with his other Will abilities, like Armament Haki and Observation Haki.

But using it when your body wouldn't be able to take it, the results would involve him suffering for it. As of now, due to the refinement of his body and soul, he could use 5% of his false God-tier power for an hour, while he can use his other powers for about two months at full percent usage.

(AN: Guess which laws he infused with for Armament Haki and Observation Haki? (; )

• (Wherever the f*ck Ryu is at) {Year: 16.9} •

"It's been a whole year now." Ryu said to his system as he still retained the Sword Aura. But that didn't matter anymore, he could control his Sword Aura at about 75%. The remaining 25% involved his abstruse energy, Desolate.

Trying to control the Sword Aura was like trying to hold in your urination from baby stages, Ryu thought chuckling at the comparison.

[Yes, it has been a whole year. Looks like it'll be 2.5 years, so just a year and five months left.]

(AN: {Year: 18.2} will be when Ryu finally finishes the trial. {Year:20-21} will be when the One Piece storyline finally starts!)

"Well, that's fine. I gained benefits from this little event." He said as he looked around. If it was him a year ago, he definitely wouldn't have called it a 'little' event.

The island he was on was huge, yet he could see the ocean from the other side of it. He had abused the unpopulated huge island, there were a lot of cut debris on the ground. There were trunks of originally large forests around the island, and cut-into-pieces of originally huge boulders that were about Sashi's size. If the island were alive, it would've cried due to its balding.

"It's weird that I haven't met the Whitebeard Pirates since traveling in the New World..." Ryu noted. He had traveled around the world, and yet he hadn't met then at all, only in news and bounty papers, but they didn't count as in person.

[That's because I made it so. Remember me hijacking your dinghy to go the way I wanted?]

"Yeah... Wasn't it because you wanted to lead me to trouble?" He remembered naturally, most of time in the Paradise in Grand Line, the system had led him...

[Yeah, that was one of the reason, of course. But that's not the point, if I hadn't done that, you would've met them in the Paradise. Right now they're in New World, but it turned out that I didn't need to hijack it once again, the dinghy personally moved itself away from them... Probably because of me hijacking it too often and it's now learnt avoid the Whitebeard Pirates. Tee-hee~]

"Ah..." Ryu simply nodded, not angered by that at all. In fact, it didn't matter because he wasn't going to heal him until Ace joined him anyways.

[Tch. You didn't get mad.]

Ignoring his system's message, he decided it was time to pity the huge island he had nearly refor- okay, maybe he already reformed it. He started to leave on his dinghy, letting the dinghy lead aimlessly. "Time to focus on conquering my Desolate abstruse energy in the Sword Aura-"

"Wait, conquering?" Ryu suddenly stopped as if he understood something. He had finally find out why the abstruse energy in the aura kept resisting him. He was too focused on conquering the abstruse that he didn't notice. "I shouldn't conquer it, instead I should let it flow, along with me and my intent."

Closing his eyes, he sat crosslegged on the dinghy, as it led the way. He started to let Desolate abstruse to flow by itself, and then led where it should flow.

*CHHH*

*BOOM*

Quickly opening his eyes, he noticed that he accidentally broke his dinghy! His durable dinghy!

"Holy f*ck!" Ryu shouted as he went into the ocean. Swimmin, he started to crazily laugh, "HAHAHA! IT'S STRONG ENOUGH TO DESTROY THE DURABLE DINGHY!"

[...Yes, now you will have to get another Speedy Dinghy, you crazy bastard.] The system weirdly said. It wouldn't say crazy bastard unless he really was. It was because the system's host had nearly killed himself and his soul, essentially nearly ending his reincarnation with his abstruse-infused Sword Intent.

The system was shocked when he successfully destroyed the dinghy on accident. The thing about the dinghy the system didn't tell was that it was strong enough to withstand five attacks from Gods, but Ryu did it in one move, without any false God-tier power, only merely sword intent fused with abstruse energy.

It seemed that Ryu was going to be stronger than Gods soon. Well, not that Ryu was going to know all that anyways. The system wouldn't dare to inflate his ego.

"Ah, right. Get another one then." Ryu told it, coming back from his momental of craziness. "Right, how much percent did I get from that?"

[You ha- Huh?] The system stopped suddenly.

"What?" He asked.

[Nothing. You have gained control of 0.025% of the abstruse energy in Sword Aura.]

"What?!" He shouted angrily. "Just a small percent? Are you kidding me, system?"

[No.] Believe the system, it also doubted itself for a second, he used merely 0.025% and it destroyed the strong dinghy? F*ck, Ryu could easily destroy the system's creator if he gained control over all the 25% abstruse energy! Not like Ryu would do that unreasonably. Should it tell its host about the destructive power's potential or not?

"Ugh! Taking control over all 25% is going to be harder than I expected..." Ryu unreasonably said... That was to be expected, he didn't know of the dinghy's secret and the system's dilemma. "Maybe there's a way to gain them faster."

"Whatever, as usual, I'll just keep doing it until I find a better way." He decided as he started to rest on his new silvery dinghy instead of bronze color. Resting was the best way to let something inside you flow freely, so he decided to do that all while leading the flow and gain control over it.

Ryu was sure he won't destroy the dinghy again, he had managed to find out how to set a path for its destructive power, so he could aim it to upwards when he gained the small percentage.

While he was doing that, all the Sword Intent owners once again felt his sword powers.

...

Everywhere in the world...

All of people with Sword Intent once again finally felt 'his' sword powers, but it felt different, like it made you feel like you would rust away into dust.

They hadn't felt anything from 'him' ever since he learned how to hide his Sword Aura several months ago, causing a widespread search for several Cipher Pol that were hunting him, which they eventually gave up on. He was impossible to assassinate anyways, they thought.

The world also didn't know of what had happened, only the swordsmen/swordswomen knew that someone very truly strong swordsman had appear in the New World. Select few organizations only knew of who it was. Heh, if those old bastards/hags with low-middle level of Sword Intent knew it was Ryu, they'd die of anger or depression. Ryu was so young and yet he attained the final level of Sword Intent!

But all of them had one same thought, old or young, and man or woman.

'F*ck! Can you not do that again? I nearly wet myself!'
