Jean couldn't understand why Maranda lied earlier. It was quite normal for a girl to be afraid of snakes and bugs. Besides, Ron could have misunderstood her because of her lie.
Girls were allowed to be afraid of snakes or anything else.
Jean was confused so she looked at Zed.
Zed slightly shook his head because he was confused too.
"Maranda, you lied to me!" said Ron, as he got angry and stared at Maranda.
"I..." Maranda panicked as soon as she noticed that Ron was mad at her. She didn't know what to do. "I didn't lie to you on purpose. Ron, please believe me!" she explained.
"But you lied to me!" said Ron painfully as he was disappointed.
Jean was even more confused now so she stepped forward and stopped before Maranda. She looked at Ron, frowned and asked, "Ron, what do you mean? What's so wrong about Maranda being afraid of snakes and bugs? All girls are afraid of snakes and bugs. That's normal, right?"
"There's nothing wrong with being afraid of snakes and bugs. And I am not mad because of that. The thing is that Maranda didn't tell me the truth. Maranda, would you like it if I misunderstood? What were you thinking about?"
Ron asked as he was pissed off. He had never expected Maranda to lie to him about such a tiny thing. She had thought of him as a stranger and not her boyfriend.
"Yeah. Maranda! Why didn't you tell Ron the truth?" asked Jean. It seemed that she was on Ron's side.
"I, ur, I..." Maranda was startled and she was about to cry. "I lied to him because I knew he likes snakes. I didn't want to tell him that I'm afraid of snakes and disappoint him in any way."
Maranda cried after she finished her words. She felt sorry towards Ron but her intention was not to hurt his feelings.
What the hell was that?
Jean couldn't believe what Maranda just said. She couldn't understand why Maranda lied about such a small issue.
"You silly girl!" As Ron heard Maranda's words, he stepped forward and si

s head again.
"Let's call Leo now and ask him if there are any more clue," Jean advised seriously.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Moore asked as he was confused.
"Call him first and I'll tell you everything after that," Jean replied.
"Okay!" Moore soon realised that Jean would not tell him what happened so he nodded his head instead.
He dialed the number but Leo didn't pick up for quite a while.
Jean and Moore looked at each other and their expression became even more serious.
Moore called him two more times.
But nobody answered his phone. Jean and Moore felt uneasy.
"Do you think something happened to him?" Jean asked nervously.
"No, I don't think so! If anything did happen to him, then his phone would have been switched off. He might be busy and maybe left his phone at home!"
Moore comforted Jean.
Jean thought of that possibility and calmed herself down.
But as soon as she remembered Zed's words, she got nervous again. She turned to Moore and said, "Moore, there's something I want to tell you but I'm not sure whether I should or not."
"What is it?" Moore asked as he noticed she was quite serious.
"Zed told me that the person who planned the whole video incident is among us right now," said Jean as she looked at the busy crowd in front of her.
