"So are you telling me all of this just to let me know why you agreed to marry Kirk?" Jean asked, staring at Elizabeth angrily.
"You're right. You have to understand that I would do anything for Zed," Elizabeth spat out, a stern look creeping up her face.
"Why do you have to be so stubborn? If you're getting married to Kirk just because of Zed, I'm strongly advising you to give up your little act. And if you think I'm going to tell Zed about how you feel about him then you're wrong! Why don't you go and tell him yourself? I will not trouble myself with your feelings for him. When that day comes, I doubt that he will return your feelings.
You are a grown-up, aren't you? You should take some responsibility for what you have done and what you are currently doing. Oh, and here's the most interesting part! Do you know how Zed describes his relationship with you? To him, you are just a stranger. He doesn't know who you are, and frankly speaking, I don't think he could care any less about you!"
Jean said through her teeth. What Elizabeth had said really irritated her so much.
If Elizabeth didn't say the things she said, Jean would have preferred to keep her mouth shut.
After all, Elizabeth was soon to marry Kirk, and in turn would make her Jean's family too.
They would live under the same roof and see each other day in and day out. Jean wouldn't snap back at Elizabeth like this if only she wasn't so rude to her.
'I understand that I shouldn't treat Elizabeth this way. But I can't restrain my feelings anymore when Elizabeth feels this way towards my husband.
Zed is mine! I can't allow anyone to challenge me like this!
How dare she talk with me this way! What's the worse, she seems like she's doing this on purpose!
I have to let her know I'm not a pushover, ' Jean thought in her heart.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth looked at Jean with a triumphant smile as she noticed that Jean was angry at what she said earlier.
'Jean, you really disappointed me! I never thought that you would get angry just because of a couple of words I said, ' Elizabeth thought inwardly with a smirk.
"I'll admit, your words hurt. But I've made up my mind and there's nothing you can do to change my decision. I want to let you know that I will never retreat. I'll face any hurdles you throw my way,"
Elizabeth said nonchalantly, looking at Jean boastfully.
Jean looked at Elizab

Will our Mighty Soldier King be defeated? Or will he sweep away all obstacles?
e's planning. What's her next move? I don't have a clue yet,"
Jean said, waving her hands in frustration.
Upon hearing what Jean said, Zed was lost in thought, furrowing his brow and narrowing his eyes. A while later, Zed looked up at Jean. "Did she really say that?" he asked.
"Yes. Word for word," Jean nodded. "I shouldn't have told her, right? It will get you into trouble, won't it?" she asked when she saw Zed's troubled look.
Zed raised his head and let his gaze fall upon Jean's face. Then, he shook his head and assured with a smile, "Don't worry, Jean. Look! I already knew about this. Let me handle the rest. Stop indulging yourself in it too much!"
Jean looked at Zed with a hesitant look. Deep inside, she knew for a fact that no one could stop Elizabeth's determination.
'I know that thinking about it won't change anything. What really annoyed me was my stupid, big mouth! Why did I tell her that we'll leave soon? You're so stupid, Jean!
What you said would bring even more trouble to Zed, ' Jean thought inwardly.
Guilt flooded through Jean. The reassurance Zed gave didn't make her feel the least bit relieved. Instead, she felt like she was at fault.
Zed noticed that Jean's worried look didn't disappear after what he said. He knew Jean was worried about him. Sighing, he held out his hand and scooped her into his arms. "Look, Jean," he cooed, "stop worrying about me. Don't you trust me that I can have everything in control, including Elizabeth? If you are not happy, I can't be happy, honey. Don't spend too much energy in considering irrelevant people!"
