She knew the gig was up and she smiled and cuddled in further, "Do you have work today?" She asked.
"No," Noah answered he played with her long wavy black hair as it tickled his toned chest. He let her slowly wake up before making her sit on his lap facing him.
Once she was facing him he gazed at her emerald eyes and said "I don't want anyone else to have your heart, kiss your lips or be the reason that you smile because that's my place. All the small things you consider to be your weaknesses I treasure the most. Marry me today."
Ivy's heart sped up and she looked up at his handsome chiselled face totally in shock, he didn't flinch though and looked completely serious. He rarely joked. She forgot how to speak for a moment, her mouth fell open and she started to stammer, "I… I… Today?."
"Marry me, Ivy." He said simply.
Noah then pulled her closer and lifted her chin with his long elegant fingers before kissing her lips. He was giving her the time she needed to think. He of course always knew the answer to any question he asked and he was sure of his lover and her answer otherwise he wouldn't have asked her. The time felt right.
Ivy realised that after she had experienced the worst moment of her entire life that ended up being the best thing that's ever happened to her.
She realised that she could easily marry Noah and spend the rest of her life with him. Because of all the things she had been through in life and the hurt that she experienced she never allowed herself to think of marrying anyone. Yes, she and Noah got engaged but she was happy with living like this, his lover and fiance.
She had thought it would only be detrimental to fall in love and get married but now she found herself in love and not wanting to live a day without Noah. It was risky to like Noah and even more so to let her heart love him but she realised that it wasn't all bad. And falling in love with Noah came effortlessly. It was scary to follow her heart but also easy as Noah would take care of it for her because she trusted him.
Ivy then smiled and he in turn he smiled that blinding smile she loved, it warmed her heart and filled her full of happiness. She then replied, "Yes."
Noah then kissed her lips, their tongues met and in a moment of love and passion. Noah only released her once he was satisfied. He then carried her up and she kept her legs locked around his sculpted and strong waist. They entered the bathroom together and for once they didn't make love. Instead, he caressed her body and washed her before she in turn did the same for him. It was a simple yet romantic moment, she didn't expect it from Noah.
After he wiped her down with a towel and wrapped one around his own waist. He then handed her a robe and she dried her long wet hair with a towel and they walked out of the bathroom together.
"Wait, what should I wear?" Ivy suddenly realised she had nothing suitable to wear to marry Noah.
Noah walked towards her then looked into her closet before grabbing some clothing and handing it to her "Leave it to me, just wear this for now."
Ivy looked down at the clothing in her hand and asked, "You want me to marry you wearing leggings and a gym crop top?"
"You could be naked for all I care." Noah laughed and replied at her shocked face.
"Fine, I will wear this then," Ivy said as she then turned and started to get dressed, she glanced back to see what her lover planned on wearing.
Noah had also grabbed some gym attire, she wondered what he was up to.
"Where are we getting married?" Ivy asked as she continued to get changed.
"Leave it to me," Noah said smiling at her, he knew she would only get frustrated as she never liked surprises but he loved surprising her. And today was a day they would never forget.
Ivy rolled her eyes and walked into the bathroom, she blew dry her hair and walked out of the bathroom shortly after. She was more or less ready; she just had to put on her converse.
Coming out of the bathroom she didn't see her lover so she walked out into the living room. In the living room, Noah and Aiden were chatting but stopped as soon as they saw her.
"Tell me," Ivy stated, hoping for some answers.
Noah walked two steps towards her and kissed her lips before his phone rang and he turned away to answer it.
She glanced at Aiden but he just smiled and kept his mouth firmly shut.
Thomas then appeared with Teo from the kitchen, they were all dressed in their usual suits. She and Noah were the most casually dressed and yet they were the ones getting married, she felt it was all off. But decided to go with the flow and not ask anymore seeing as he was unwilling to tell her.
Thomas handed Ivy a to go cup of coffee and she thanked him, "Thank you. Morning guys. You both okay after last night?"
Thomas winked at her, "Of course." He put Teo in an arm lock and then continued his answer, "We had fun didn't we Teo."
"Yes… Morning Ivy." Teo got out of the brotherly headlock and stepped back from Thomas. He fixed his suit and smiled at Ivy.
Ivy knew Teo was the weakest link and if she really wanted to know the details of today she could get it out of him, but she quickly decided against it.
"Let's go beautiful!" Noah said as he held out his hand towards Ivy.
