Ivy smiled and took his hand. She had always run fearlessly into things in her life whether it is her job, her home and now she wanted to fearlessly run into Noah. She felt safe and loved with him and it was time for the next step in their relationship.
They had evolved from both neither needing nor wanting a relationship to two inseparable people who had laid their lives on the line for one another.
They all left the penthouse apartment and had gone down in the lift together to the underground car park. Her head suddenly spun and a moment of dizziness passed but she brushed it off and kept a firm hold of Noah's hand. Her nerves and excitement had tried to get the better of her.
Noah led her to his matte black sports car, Noah rarely drove and in fact, the last time he had drove was when they had ended up in a car chase and a shoot out. She was fully confident in Noah and his skills though and just like that day they could pull through everything.
As Noah helped her into the passenger side she had heard Thomas and Teo fighting the bickering back and forth made her giggle. Aiden was pinching his glabella and Ivy laughed.
Noah got in the driver's side and as he leaned over to put Ivy's seat belt on he asked, "What are you laughing at?"
Ivy indicated her head towards the three men standing outside of the car, "It's like they are siblings fighting with one another."
Noah glanced in the direction she had pointed but all he saw were three idiots fighting over who was going to drive. He didn't have a close family growing up nor siblings so he didn't have anything to compare it to.
"That makes you the dad." Ivy teased, he was slightly older than she was and she knew it would push his buttons.
Noah leaned over and grabbed her chin, he was fully aware of what she was doing, "You're the only one who can call me daddy." He then harshly kissed her lips.
Ivy was lost in his kiss for the longest moment before he let her go, she would always tease him because it meant the sweetest of punishments. She smiled as he let her go and he revved the engine before driving off.
Ivy saw that Aiden, Thomas and Teo must have resolved their bickering as they had started to follow behind them in the car. She was curious and wanted to ask where she was going? When and where they were getting married but she didn't. He wanted to surprise her and if that's what he wanted that was okay with her as it was his special day too.
Noah drove through the busy morning streets, it was lovely just to get up and do normal things like driving together. Ivy was enjoying their time as a couple. She saw men and women busy bustling off to get to work with briefcases and coffee's in their hands.
Noah had everything prepared for the day, it was all last minute but nothing would stop him or be out of reach for a man with his capabilities. He was going to enjoy today with his lover after today she would be his wife, forever his. He glanced at Ivy and saw her smile, it was blinding. That was all he wanted from her, her smiles and laughter.
Noah stopped and parked outside of a row of boutiques. He turned to Ivy and said, "Let's go, my queen."
Ivy rolled her eyes and smiled, she was sure her cheeks would be sore by the end of the day if she kept smiling but why wouldn't she? She was deliriously happy right now. Any day with Noah was like this but she knew today was going to be unforgettable.
Noah got out of the car first and as she picked up her coffee to go cup and took one last bitter taste of coffee he had opened her door for her. As she stepped out she noticed the tall office skyscrapers and people were long gone. Instead, they had come to the luxury district full of one off boutique clothing stores and expensive jewellery.
Noah took her hand and led her towards a luxury jewellery brand first. Aiden was holding the door open for them and they entered together. She saw a man waiting for them and she presumed that he was the owner or manager of the store.
The plump man bowed at Noah as he spoke, "Good morning Mr Adler, Miss. Please come this way to my office."
"Morning," Ivy replied as Noah and she followed the man to the office. Although it was early on a Monday morning she would have thought at least there would have been other staff present.
They entered a large office and the plump man gestured towards a set of two chairs. Ivy went to let go of Noah's hand to take a seat but she was quickly pulled and now she sat on his lap. Her cheeks flushed as she stared at the plump man who didn't bat an eye yet he didn't know where to look.
Noah smirked at her pink cheeks before he then turned to the manager of Darcy's Jewels and said, "Are they ready?"
The plump manager coughed and replied, "Yes, yes of course everything is ready Mr Adler. Just excuse me for a moment while I get them." Noah nodded and the plump man rushed out of the room.
In the next moment, Ivy turned to Noah and nipped his side and he laughed at the small nip. She turned to him and said, "Why do I have to sit on your knee? Can't we have our own seats?"
"No." Noah smiled and played with the ends of her long black wavy hair with one of his elegant hands as she replied.
"Fine, you win." She gave up.. This man would only do as he pleased anyway.
