Chapter 164 - Perfect!

As Ivy sat on Noah's lap he caressed her waist with one hand and played with her hair with the other. He didn't seem to want to be separated from her as today was going to be a special day she didn't protest even though she felt shy acting this way in front of strangers.

As if reading her mind Noah smiled and said, "Don't care so much about what others think."

She glanced down and their eyes met, his onyx eyes sparkled like a galaxy and she felt comforted and if he didn't care then why should she. Ivy was about to place her arms around Noah's neck when the door opened and the manager came waddling back into the room making her sit up straight again. She heard Noah laugh beside her and she nipped his side.

"Sorry, I am so sorry to keep you, Mr Adler." The plump manager said as he returned to his seat and rubbed his brow. He then set down a blue velvet tray with two cobalt blue boxes set on top of them.

Ivy could hear some disturbance happening just on the shop floor outside of the manager office but she didn't think any more of it.

Ivy looked to Noah for instructions and he didn't look in the direction of the table he just replied to her simply saying, "Take a look."

Ivy then leaned forward and smiled at the manager as she asked, "May I?"

"Yes, yes please do." The manager replied he was very nervous about having Noah in his office. He had started to sweat with anxiety.

A couple had arrived outside and were demanding the VIP treatment of being served in his office, but that couldn't happen so he had delegated another staff member to help them. But they had started to kick up a fuss and wanted him and the use of his office to shop in peace. But with Noah here he didn't dare rush him out. He hoped the couple would leave before Noah finished his shopping as he had closed the shop just for this VIP experience.

Ivy lifted both boxes from the table with difficulty as Noah held her waist it gave her very little room to move. She opened the first box and saw a black band with a small black diamond in the centre. The thickness of the band led her to believe that this was Noah's ring. It suited him perfectly.

"What do you think?" Noah asked, he wanted her opinion. He never wore jewellery except for a watch. But he didn't mind wearing the blackened gold band with a black diamond if it made her smile like this.

"It's perfect!" Ivy replied, she then took his hand away from her waist and tried it on her ring finger. She was instantly overcome with happiness, this was a symbol of their connection. Ivy set the boxes on her lap and leaned down holding his chiselled jaw and kissing his soft lips for a moment before she said. "I love it on you."

"Open yours," Noah said. He had never known so little could mean so much to Ivy. After today he would always wear this symbol of their connection just so as it would make her smile.

Ivy let go of his handsome face and opened the second box. She was blown away it was a matching set. Inside the box were two white gold rings. One was a wedding band and the other was an engagement ring.

The engagement ring was a 2.01ct princess cut black diamond set in 14k blackened gold with black diamond side stones.

"I love that we match." Ivy thought it was perfect, she was never one for flashy jewellery she liked to keep it simple. The black matched her and his vibe.

"Good." Noah was glad she was happy with his choice. The last engagement ring that he had bought her and used to propose with she had rarely worn since she was kidnapped and he felt it held bad memories for her so he had wanted her to have a fresh start.

Noah took the box from her and tried it on her ring finger, seeing it fit her he nodded at the manager and said, "That's our transaction completed."

The manager sighed with relief, "Thank you, Mr Adler." He then looked to Ivy and said, "I am glad you approve, Mr Adler was very specific in the details and our staff rushed to get the order ready for today."

Noah glanced at the manager which led him to be quiet. Noah didn't want Ivy to overthink or worry about other peoples struggles right now and he knew she didn't like to create a fuss or bother anyone.

"Of course it was no trouble and our complete pleasure." Said the manager as he wiped his brow again.

This wasn't a lie, Noah had come into the shop and given them a very detailed account of what he was looking for and the manager had to find flawless black diamonds for the CEO.

Not only that he had contacted them the night before to make sure it was ready. It was ready the only problem was it was still in another city. The manager had to take a flight there and back before this morning's appointment with Mr Adler, he had just made it on time.

Noah then took off his ring and Ivy did the same, he placed them both back in their boxes and carefully put them away into his pocket. He helped Ivy to stand and he noticed her sway. He held her tight as he then stood beside her.

He looked at her with concern and asked, "Are you okay?"

"Yes it's just a headache and I got slightly dizzy I forgot to take tablets to help it," Ivy answered, she knew her lover wouldn't let up until he got an answer from her but she also didn't want to spoil the day.

"Your sure?" Noah asked, remembering her time in hospital made him feel uneasy.

"I'm okay, let's go.." Ivy beamed up at Noah to reassure him and he nodded.
