Chapter 154 - Welcome to our family!

"What? Are you crazy? How can you resign from your position?" Ding Jiaye exaggeratedly asked. She was shocked just because of a girl, Tang Hu was ready to resign from the company. However, she knew that that girl was worth more than his position of the CEO. If he became the son-in-law of the Mo Family, then Shaan Industries would take Tang Hu.

However, Tang Corporation was their family business. If Tang Hu was going to resign then who would be the one who would run the Tang Corporation?

The branch family?

No...Never… Ding Jiaye would never let the branch family have power in the company in case they would bring their problems to the main family afterward.

However, during the last month, Tang Hu had increased his time in 'Tech Innovation', the reason was simple, Mo Xingjuan wasn't by his side. Although since they had started dating and they had spent only a week together, but Tang Hu had already made it a habit of having her with him.

It was a different thing that Mo Xingjuan didn't know about the existence of Tech Innovation, otherwise, she wouldn't allow Tang Hu to waste his time on her instead of his dream. 

Even Mo Xingjuan didn't know that she had become a drug for Tang Hu. II was only Tang Hu knew how he had spent his time during the last month. Except for sleeping six hours, he spent all his time in work either in the Tang Corporation or Tech Innovation. Moreover, there were some night, he was not able to sleep also.

He missed her dearly!

"Are you crazy? You are going to leave a stable company like the Tang Corporation for that shabby company? Never! I will never allow you to do this!" 

"Fine, then agree with my conditions and I promise I will bring the Tang Corporation to a new level with Juan." Tang Hu smilingly said.

It was clear that Tang Hu was ready to give up on his dream company because of Mo Xingjuan!

"You…" Ding Jiaye's blood was boiling because of her grandson's stubbornness.

Ding Jiaye agreed with Tang Hu's condition albeit reluctantly. She knew that she couldn't win against her grandson, but it didn't mean that she would lose against Mo Xingjuan. She would pressurize Mo Xingjuan like she pressurized Miao Jing. Ding Jiaye had full confidence that Mo Xingjuan would do as she wanted.

Tang Hu had put the conditions in place because of Mo Xingjuan but if Mo Xingjuan would obey Ding Jiaye and do as Ding Jiaye wanted then what could Tang Hu do?

Outside in the dining room!

The atmosphere was not so good here.

Miao Jing's early enthusiasm was nowhere to be seen now as she felt only awkwardness and embarrassment because Mo Xingjuan had seen that no one respected her in their family which was the opposite of what the outside world had been thinking.

However, Mo Xingjuan didn't feel like what Miao Jing had thought but she also didn't pay attention to Miao Jing because of her tension for the discussion between Ding Jiaye and Tang Hu. So, Miao Jing thought that Mo Xingjuan wouldn't be considered her as one of the important people of the family much like how Ding Jiaye and Tang Qiu didn't consider Mioa Jing as an important figure in the family.

Since Ding Jiaye had shown some objection to Mo Xingjuan, soTang Qiu didn't show any type of acceptance in his gestures towards Mo Xingjuan as his daughter-in-law.

Mo Xingjuan didn't have an appetite as she was nervously waiting for the result of the conversation between Tang Hu and his grandmother, but she didn't want to create a bad impression before Miao Jing by wasting the food, so she ate quietly. 

Mo Xingjuan didn't even feel nervous during the waiting period of her college entrance result. Every second was now looking like an hour to her.

'Tik...Tak…'

The sound of footsteps echoed in the dining which caught the immediate attention of all three people in the dining room.  

Mo Xingjuan looked over in the direction of the footsteps and found Ding Jiaye and Tang Hu. She then immediately started to study Tang Hu's expression, but his face was expressionless. He didn't even make eye contact with her nor look at her. He just followed Ding Jiaye like her loyal subordinate.

Seeing this, her heart sank.

It seemed that she failed in her first test within the family.

Ding Jiaye stood in front of Mo Xingjuan arrogantly.

To see this, Mo Xingjuan also stood up even though she knew that she would be chased out of the house by Ding Jiaye.

Miao Jing's thought process was the same as Mo Xingjuan's, so she wasn't feeling very happy about this either. 

Tang Qiu's reaction was nonchalant as usual as if nothing about this situation was of his concern.

Only one person in the room was seemingly happy, that was the Butler Hang. He didn't like Mo Xingjuan. So what if she was the Young Miss of the Mo Family, she had insulted him the moment she met him.

Unfortunately for him, his happiness didn't last for too long when he heard Ding Jiaye's next set of words.

"Welcome to our family." Ding Jiaye spread her arms for a hug to Mo Xingjuan.
