366 A Letter Part-2

Officer Hu began his long speech which he had prepared, "Last night, Mo Qiwn has surrendered himself and the evidence which confirms that his wife, Gu Minlan had murdered Xia Xiulan. In the interrogation with Mo Qiwn, we have found that Mo Qiwn and Xia Xiulan were in a relationship before Mo Qiwn betrayed her and married Gu Minlan under his family pressure. Afterward, Xia Xiulan hadn't come in contact with Mo Qiwn as he was married to someone else. However, Mo Qiwn had realized that he made a mistake and he wanted to rekindle his relationship again with Xia Xiulan. Nevertheless, Xia Xiulan didn't trust him anymore so she stayed away from him but Mo Qiwn was persistent and during that time, Gu Minlan found out about her husband's past relationship with Xia Xiulan and his current contacts with Xia Xiulan. Therefore, in a fit of anger, Gu Minlan had killed Xia Xiulan and portrayed her death into a suicide case like she did with her husband's other mistresses."

Whatever Officer Hu had said was half-truth but to save Xia Xiulan's image in front of the world, Officer Hu hadn't mentioned anything about Mo Qiwn and Xia Xiulan's child. As this was decided between Mo Qiwn and Officer Hu before he had come up to reveal the case. Of course, Officer Hu didn't want to offend Mo Lingtan so he did as Mo Qiwn instructed him.

"Officer Hu, what about the evidence? What is in that evidence and from where did Mo Qiwn get it ?" One of the reporters asked.

"Xia Xiulan had CCTV in her house which had recorded all the things that had happened on the day when she died. Mo Qiwn had secretly removed that video before the police could find it to save his image but last night, he had decided to surrender the evidence and himself for hiding the evidence."

"Officer Hu, what about Gu Minlan? Has she confessed her crime?" Another reporter asked.

"No! She hasn't confessed it yet but we have evidence against her. Therefore, we can proceed with the case and bring justice to Xia Xiulan as soon as we can. That's it for today's questions." Officer Hu bowed and left for his office.

Soon after, the other families, who didn't get justice for their daughters when Gu Minlan killed or crippled them, also came forward. With that, many cases were filed against Gu Minlan. 

However, Mo Donghai didn't disown his only son. He did whatever he could to save him. In fact, he went to meet every board of directors of Shaan Industries or every other person who had the power to help Mo Qiwn. But it was a fact that Mo Qiwn had resigned from his position, and now helping him meant going against Shaan Industries and Mo Lingtan. 

Therefore, no board of directors or any other person wanted to come to a situation to say 'Come bull and kill me' [2] Besides, Mo Donghai's family didn't have any power left in Shaan Industries as Mo Lingtan had bought all the shares back. Therefore, no one helped Mo Donghai and even Mo Qiwn had refused to see him.

After a few days, news had come that Gu Minlan finally confessed her crimes but she didn't stop here. She also revealed Mo Qiwn's dirty secrets as well.

Again, chaos ensued because of this news. Mo Qiwn had already expected this thing that was why he didn't take help from Mo Lingtan when he offered him to help him to get rid of Gu Minlan.

Luckily Shaan Industries wasn't affected by this news as Mo Lingtan had already separated Mo Qiwn from the company.

In the end, severe cases against Mo Qiwn and Gu Minlan were filed and investigation against them began with the hope that the court would punish them soon severely. .

Just like Mo Lingtan had decided, the next morning, Lee Xuiye couldn't get out of the bed. She just looked at Mo Lingtan pitifully as he helped her to freshen up and eat while she cursed him internally.
