372 Give a Chance Part-2

"I have a solution to your problem." Lee Xuiye said which snapped Su Wan back from her deep thoughts and looked at her in the expectation that she would continue. 

Lee Xuiye continued after noticing Su Wan's attention on her "Why don't you accept Yan as your husband?"

Su Wan frowned at Lee Xuiye's solution "This is not possible."

"Why? Did your feelings for him die out?" Lee Xuiye asked.

"Our relationship does not only depend on my feelings. Li Yan doesn't have any feelings for me." Su Wan responded back. 

Even if she wanted to try to forget that horrible night from her life, she couldn't do it without the help of Li Yan.

Helplessness brought disappointment to her. Like every other person, she also dreamt about her wonderful future even though her present life wasn't so good but now…

Sigh!

Perhaps, she was destined to be alone.

This disappointment sank her heart that made her eyes tear up. 

"Would you believe if I say Li Yan also likes you?"

Su Wan blinked her tears away and looked at Lee Xuiye trying to figure out what she meant by her words but Lee Xuiye wasn't interested in explaining anything further than that instead...

Lee Xuiye continued with an encouraging smile "You just express your feelings for him and leave the rest of things on him. After all, he also needs to do things for you." 

"What are you going to do?" Su Wan asked as she then seemed to understand that Lee Xuiye and Mo Lingtan were there to help them.

"I won't do anything, Li Yan will." Lee Xuiye gave her a vague reply which made Su Wan wonder what Li Yan would do.

Afterward, Lee Xuiye and Su Wan continued with their walk. However, Su Wan didn't notice that Lee Xuiye had secretly recorded their conversation and sent it to Mo Lingtan which he had listened to while waiting for Li Yan who was having a meeting with his client.

After hearing out Lee Xuiye and Su Wan's conversation, Mo Lingtan understood that his smart wife had also left some work for him to do.

Meanwhile, Li Yan had finished his important meeting and walked back to the waiting room where Mo Lingtan was.

"Sorry for making you wait. If you had called me beforehand, I would have cleared my schedule for the day." Li Yan said while taking a seat beside Mo Lingtan.

"I would have called you beforehand but then how would I be able to see your life with Su Wan, huh?" Mo Lingtan directly let Li Yan know about his intentions.

They were childhood friends and understood each other very well. So there was no need to hide anything.

"How are the things in City B?" Li Yan ignored Mo Lingtan's words and asked instead.

Mo Lingtan understood that Li Yan wanted to brush off the topic but Mo Lingtan would not let him off so easily.

Li Yan understood what the meaning of 'peaceful' and 'storm' was and what Mo Lingtan was referring to by using those words.

It meant that Lin Family hadn't caused any problem for Li Family yet but Li Yan knew that they would definitely do something to pressurize Li Family to bring Li Yan back to City B for Lin Shashi. After all, who else would know more about Lin Shashi's craziness better than Li Yan?

In fact, Mo Lingtan and Li Yan were right because Lin Family did plan to harm Li Family but before that, they were taking precautions so that Lin Family wouldn't be affected because of Li Family. After all, Lin Family had been in partnership with Li Family for more than a decade.

"Hmm...Then I have to thank you for that." Li Yan gratefully said.

"Well, there are other things for which you also need my help."

"Really? And what is that?" Li Yan looked at him intriguingly.

"This…" Mo Lingtan passed his phone to him in which a recording was playing which Lee Xuiye had sent him.

Li Yan's brows frowned but he took his phone and listened to Lee Xuiye and Su Wan's conversation.

By the end of the conversation, Li Yan's face was red in embarrassment. He knew that he couldn't make Su Wan happy along with the awkwardness in between them and he didn't know how to proceed further except for showing his care to her.

However, now his friend helped him to identify the problem in his marriage. The most absurd thing was that one of the reasons why Su Wan stayed away from him was because she thought that he was caring towards her out of guilt for what he had done to her.

However, that was not the case. Of course, he was feeling guilty towards her because of that night but he cared for her because she was his wife and unknowing to him, he had started liking her.

"Express your true feelings to her. She is not a God who knows what is running in your mind." Mo Lingtan advised him.

"Hmm…" Li Yan nodded "But I hurt her very badly...Sigh!" Li Yan helplessly sighed and covered his face in his palms.

"If you believe me, that night was a blessing in disguise for you. You see, you wanted to get rid of Lin Shashi and wanted to live a peaceful life with a good girl and now your wish has been granted." Mo Lingtan said as he leaned back and crossed one leg over another.

"But I hurt her which I never wished for."

"Then love her so much that she would forget that you ever hurt her. This is all I can do. This is your life, so now it is up to to you how you want to live." Mo Lingtan said his last piece of advice.
