378 378- New Year Part-2

Lee Xuiye unhappily snotted and sat back inside the car as she knew that no matter how many times she would ask, he wouldn't reply. Instead, he liked to give her surprises.

Although she likes surprises, she didn't have the patience to wait for them. On the other hand, Mo Lingtan loved to torture her by revealing half of the information.

Soon, they reached a manor where some people were already present. Surprisingly, Robbin was also there.

Lee Xuiye turned to look at Mo Lingtan in quest of an answer, but before he could say anything…

"Mo Lingtan, you are finally here!" A young man came towards them with a woman in his arms.

"I hope I am not late." Mo Lingtan walked over and shook his hand with the man.

"Not at all, but Father is asking for you."The man replied and looked at Lee Xuiye "So? She is one who stole your heart."

"Xuiye, Meet Ethan and this is his girlfriend, Ella. Ethan is Uncle John's son, who is also Robbin's previous owner." Mo Lingtan introduced her and looked at Ethan to continue "Yes, she is the one, Lee Xuiye, My Wife."

"Hello." Lee Xuiye greeted them.

"It's great to meet you finally, Mrs. Mo. I have heard a lot about you." Ethan shook his hand with Lee Xuiye.

"Ethan, what happened? Has that brat come or not? If he dares to break his promise, I won't give him Robbin at any cost." Then suddenly, a booming voice came from behind.

An aged man was walking towards them staggeredly with the help of a cane in his hands.

Looking at him, one could figure that he must be Mr. John. 

Although his old age had made him incapable of doing many things, yet from his voice, one could see that he still had spirit within him where many old people spent their days waiting to die.

"I won't dare to break my promise, Uncle John." Mo Lingtan walked towards him with Lee Xuiye.

"You are finally here! Otherwise, I thought you don't want Robbin anymore" Mr. John pushed his glasses from the edge of his nose.

'Neigh!' At the moment, Robbin snorted in disdain as if it was saying to John 'If it wasn't for your stubbornness, I would have been living with my true owner. So there was no way, he didn't want me!'

"How could I not want it?" Mo Lingtan asked with a smile to which Robbin snorted again as if he was proud of Mo Lingtan, his true owner.

Then Mr. John's sight went to Lee Xuiye and nodded in satisfaction, "So he really brought you back into his life...Good...good!!!"

"Hello, Mr. John. It is nice to meet you." Lee Xuiye greeted him.

"I know everything about you and I also am sure he didn't mention anything about me to you, did he?" Mr. John accusingly looked at Mo Lingtan to which he coughed in awkwardness as indeed, Mo Lingtan never mentioned anything about Mr. John.

However, she could feel that Mr. John was one of the important people to Mo Lingtan.

"Correct! Then why don't you come inside with me to have a few drinks with me?" Mr. John happily asked.

"Father, you can't drink alcohol." Ethan immediately came forward to remind him.

"I know...I know...I am talking about soft drinks." Mr. John unhappily waved his hands at his son's constant nagging.

"Would you mind drinking some soft drinks with me?" Mr. John asked Lee Xuiye.

"Not at all, Uncle John!"

"Good! Come let's go inside." 

Afterward, everyone went inside while Lee Xuiye shot a proud look at Mo Lingtan which was saying 'You owe me.' before walking inside with Mr. John.

Mo Lingtan helplessly shook his head and walked inside.

Afterward, Lee Xuiye got to know that Mr. John was a good friend of Mo Yinan and his company was a business partner of Shaan Industries.

Mr. John was a sporty person and he especially liked horse racing that was why he bought the best horse, Robbin. Since he was getting old, he couldn't take care of it. Therefore, he thought to give Robbin to Mo Lingtan who was also fond of it on the condition that Mo Lingtan and Lee Xuiye would celebrate the new year with them and without fulfilling that condition, Mr. John wouldn't handover Robbin to them.

Mo Lingtan immediately complied with Mr. John but since Mo Lingtan and Lee Xuiye had to complete their wedding photoshoot before the new year, Mo Lingtan borrowed Robbin for a few hours. 

Luckily, Mr. John agreed with Mo Lingtan's request and let him take Robbin for a few hours.

There were many people who were acquainted with Mo Lingtan and because of him and Mr. John, Lee Xuiye didn't feel out of company.

Ella was a ravishing dancer that seeing her, people started joining her and they dragged Lee Xuiye along to burst out into a crazy dance.

The sky turned dark completely and the manor was lit up. Beautiful lights shrouded the meadows with a mysterious vibe. The servants delivered some food over drinks.

Mu Lingtan stood aside and watched his darling who was dragged into a dance. The genuine delightful laugh on her face was encoded into his mind, softening his heart.

Finally, he was living a life which he had dreamt of.

The dance was still ongoing, so with a smile, he went forward and took over the guitar. Then, he started playing along with the upbeat tempo.

The crowd gave him a round of applause. Even Lee Xuiye was surprised to see him.

He could play the guitar!

So there was a secret which she didn't know about it related to him!

Xi Xiaye raised her eyebrows, but before she could give it some thought, everyone had joined in as the dance went on.
