379 New Year Part-3

'Bang! Bang!'

The colorful fireworks brightened up the entire skies.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The crowd shouted in unison and hugged everyone.

After five years of separation, this was the first new year in which Mo Lingtan and Lee Xuiye celebrated the new year together.

Those lonely five years, where they had to struggle every day, every moment and they had no one besides them except loneliness.

However, now those terrible years didn't matter anymore. In fact, now Mo Lingtan and Lee Xuiye had learned to appreciate each other's company even though they bantered all the time.

"Happy New Year, my darling!" Mo Lingtan held her in his arms and whispered near her ears and kissed her as a gift for the new year.

"Happy New Year to you too, my baby!" Lee Xuiye was looking at her husband lovingly.

By the end of the party, Mo Lingtan was badly drunk while Lee Xuiye was completely sober as she accompanied Mr. John throughout the party and drank only soft drinks. Therefore, the couple had decided to spend that night in Mr. John's manor with the other guests.

Afterward, Lee Xuiye and Mo Lingtan went back to Las Vegas city where they stayed for a few more days before returning back to City B.

Mo's Old Mansion.

"I got a call from Dr. Si. She wants to meet us today." Lee Xuiye informed Mo Lingtan while helping him to put on the coat.

"Did she mention what it is about?" Mo Lingtan asked while standing in front of her so that she could button up his coat.

"No, but she says she wants to meet us today. I am thinking of going there." Lee Xuiye looked at him nervously as every time she went to meet Dr. Si with the hope and came back with the disappointment.

"Alright, I cleared today's schedule." Mo Lingtan moved to take his phone but Lee Xuiye stopped him.

"No! This won't be necessary. I can go on my own. Besides, didn't you mention you have an important meeting with Mr. Andrew? You can't miss it so you should go there, I will give you a call if there is any serious matter." Although she was nervous, she couldn't burden on him all the time. Besides, she always thought that she didn't do things for him like he did for him.

"But---"

"No buts, I am not a child, I can handle myself properly."

If today's meeting wasn't important, he would have cleared his schedule no matter what she said. In the end, Mo Lingtan helplessly sighed and went along with her, "Okay, but promise me that you will call me if there is any serious matter."

"Promise!" Lee Xuiye happily agreed with him.

"I wish today's appointment should be last."

"Why? Don't you want me to bear a child for you?" Lee Xuiye unhappily asked.

"He is a child, not a man. Wait….wait...why do I smell that something is burning?" Lee Xuiye teasingly asked.

Hearing her tease, Mo Lingtan was moved to teach her, but then…

'Thud!'

"Mummy, I am hungry!" Mo Reng immediately ran inside.

And Mo Lingtan's plan proposed. "If you are hungry. Go and ask from Aunty Ni. What are you doing here? Don't you know your mama doesn't know cooking?" Mo Lingtan narrowed his eyes at his son who had intruded upon them when he was about to teach his wife a good lesson.

"I know but she can eat with me, right Mama?" His father had already taken his Mama away for so many days and now that he finally got a chance to spend more time with his mama, his jealous father intruded like always, took away his mama, and locked her in his room.

Mo Reng didn't know what his father had been doing with his Mama in their locked room but then afterward, his mama always felt very tired that she didn't play with him anymore.

Therefore, Mo Reng had been very unhappy with his father regarding this matter and now he intruded in their room before his father could do anything to his Mama.

"You are right, my baby. Come on, let's go and eat something." Lee Xuiye held her son and abandoned her husband without a second thought.

Mo Lingtan was looking in astonishment at the pair of mother and son's back who left the room.

My baby?

Wasn't that his name?

How could she call someone else with that name?

Previously, she had given that name to Long Xue and then Mo Reng.

Why was Mo Lingtan feeling like he was being treated like Tang Hu?

Since the day Little Apple was born, Tang Hu's position in Mo Xingjuan's heart was reducing day by day.

He wouldn't allow any other man in his wife's heart!

He wasn't like Tang Hu who would get shouted at by his wife.

He needed to teach his wife severely otherwise, that day wouldn't be far when there was no difference between him and Tang Hu.

With this thought, Mo Lingtan took his bag and rushed downstairs where everyone was eating breakfast.

Song Zhilian was sitting on the head chair of the dining table while looking lovely towards her family.

Mo Mushan was constantly putting some food on Su Qiaolian's plate with care.

"Lian, eat some egg also."

While Su Qiaolian was having a nonchalant expression on her face as she wasn't moved with her ex-husband's care. However, her eyes were saying something else.

Song Zhilian had noticed it but didn't say anything except sighed.

If Mo Mushan would have taken this kind of care of Su Qiaolian before, they weren't sitting like an ex-wife and ex-husband.

Nevermind, it's never too late.

It was a good thing that Mo Mushan got some brain and started making things correct. If he continued to maintain this kind of attitude, Song Zhilian was sure that her son would win Su Qiaolian's heart and make her his wife again.

Whereas, a nanny was sitting with Little Apple in her arms while Mo Xingjuan was sitting beside the nanny and Tang Hu was sitting beside Mo Xingjuan.

"Baby, he is still sleeping. You should concentrate and eat your breakfast properly. See how thin you are looking." Tang Hu tenderly said and put some food into her mouth.

"He would be awake anytime, I don't want him to cry when I am here right beside him." Mo Xingjuan shot a sharp glance at her husband and looked back at her son lovingly who was sleeping soundly.

"Hu's grandma called me today. Little Apple's full moon is in two days, she wants both of you to go to Tang Mansion."

"Don't worry, Grandma, we will go there tomorrow." Tang Hu replied.

Little Apple was the great-grandson of the Tang Family but he was staying at the Mo Family instead of the Tang Family. Therefore, Ding Jiaye was clearly unhappy with this arrangement but in front of her grandson, Tang Hu, she didn't say much. However, she insisted that Little Apple's full moon should be celebrated at Tang Mansion and there was no room for negotiation. Therefore, Tang Hu agreed with Ding Jiaye's condition.

Meanwhile, Mo Lingtan had come towards the dining table where he effortlessly pulled out Mo Reng's chair and moved it away and pulled his chair in between mother and son's chairs.

Lee Xuiye and Mo Reng were displeased with Mo Lingtan's action but he wasn't affected by it. 

"You are a big man now! Eat yourself!" Mo Lingtan told Mo Reng and shared a plate with Lee Xuiye.

Everyone rolled their eyes towards Mo Lingtan's childish behavior. 

Mo Lingtan always said that Lee Xuiye was childish but he wasn't any less childish than her.

After having breakfast, everyone left for their respective work.

"Lee Xuiye, where were you? I have been trying to call but I couldn't reach through it." Dr. Si asked when Lee Xuiye came to her office.

"We went out of the country for a few days. What happened, Dr. Si? You call so urgently, is everything alright?" Lee Xuiye pulled her bag on the side chair and asked.

"I will tell you later once I do some tests on you, shall we?" Dr. Si didn't reveal much and stood up.

Lee Xuiye frowned but still, she stood up and went with Dr. Si. She didn't know what kind of tests Dr. Si was doing. Dr. Si applied some gel-type liquid and scanned her stomach while looking at the computer screen from time to time.

After a while, Dr. Si did some other tests and they finally came back to Dr. Si's office.

"Lee Xuiye, now I want you to listen to me carefully." Dr. Si said in a very serious tone which made Lee Xuiye very nervous that her palms were covered with sweat.
