382 Sleep on couch! Part-1

Lee Xuiye heard Mo Lingtan's question and she was struggling to find the right words to reply.

Of course, she wouldn't be able to choose. Therefore, she promptly replied, "I can't choose!"

"No, you have to!" Mo Lingtan insisted on knowing her answer.

"What kind of stupid question are you asking?" Lee Xuiye unhappily groaned.

"The question which you are calling as stupid, I am facing it as a stupid reality and you know it."

"What are you saying? I am perfectly alright and so is our baby ."

"And I always want both of you to be alright. However, you don't expect me to choose the baby over you. I can't…" Mo Lingtan helplessly said. He just wanted her and nothing else.

"You are a cruel father." Lee Xuiye huffed in displeasure.

"If being cruel makes you safe and keeps you alive, I don't mind being a cruel father." Mo Lingtan said in a matter-of-fact tone without an ounce of guilt.

After their unresolved conversation, Lee Xuiye and Mo Lingtan went back to Mo Mansion where the waves of happiness churned around when they heard that Lee Xuiye was pregnant.

"What? Oh My God...That's wonderful news. I am happy for you." Song Zhilian immediately hugged Lee Xuiye. Her wrinkled face had a wide grin as now she had nothing to worry about. She could peacefully close her eyes and leave this world to go where her husband was, on the other side.

"Thank you, grandma!" Lee Xuiye happily replied.

"Congratulations Xuiye. Your efforts have finally paid off. Now my Little Apple would get a sibling to play with him." Mo Xingjuan also came to hug her friend. She was happy that the things in her best friend and her brother's life were going back to well.

"Congratulations Xuiye. Did Doctor mention any diet for you or any precautions you have to take?" Su Qiaolian also joined in.

"Yes, Mother. Dr. Si has prescribed my diet and medicines, and she also suggested that I stay at home and rest." Lee Xuiye replied back.

"Of course, you should rest properly! Give me your diet chart, I will make the kitchen follow it and I want you to rest properly at home. Leave your companies' matter to Lingtan." Then Song Zhilian turned towards her grandson and started lecturing him "Have you heard what I said? I've been observing that you are going to the office late and coming back early. It seems that you have nothing to do, so handle Lee Xuiye's companies properly and stop bothering her!" Song Zhilian gave a warning glare to her grandson who was standing there and watching how all the ladies had surrounded his wife and completely ignored him in the process.

No one was bothered about him. Not even a word of congratulations came towards him. After all, he was going to become a father too, but they were treating him as if he had no role to play in making this baby come to this world.

Mo Lingtan was clearly displeased with his family's behavior. He was their son, the heir of the family but instead of giving him any importance, all the importance was given to his wife.

Well, there was one more person who was also unhappy with the current situation.

Mo Reng.

Before going out, his mama had promised that she would play with him once she would be back but since the time she had come, she had totally forgotten about him and immersed in the happiness of the arrival of their new baby.

She had never done that before.

Along with that, insecurity started to build up in his heart. Now his mama and papa's biological baby would be coming into this world. Would they love him like before?

Perhaps...No!

With that, both Mo Lingtan and Mo Reng stayed in their room unhappily and insecurely respectively.

"Xiao Reng, what are you doing here alone?" Lee Xuiye came to Mo Reng's room when she noticed he was nowhere in the living room while he loved to spend time with her.

Since Mo Qiwn's incident, Mo Reng always spent most of his time with her because of the guilt that he chose Xia Xiulan over Lee Xuiye.

Though Lee Xuiye didn't bother with that thing anymore, Mo Reng still felt that he had let her down.

Lee Xuiye had loved him like a real mother but he still had differentiated her from his biological mother, Xia Xiulan.

"Nothing Mama. I am just reading." Mo Reng tried to reply in a normal way to conceal his uneasiness.

But Lee Xuiye was his mother, how could she not notice the abnormality in his behavior?

"You don't like to read books. Let me see which book has indulged your interest in reading." Lee Xuiye promptly took the book from his hands.

It was a history book that Mo Reng never liked to read unless Lee Xuiye forced him to read it. However, Mo Reng was willingly reading that book at this moment.

That was strange!

"Tell me what you have learned from his book?" Lee Xuiye looked at him with squinted eyes which made his chin dipped to his chest, adopting a slumped posture in a pang of the guilt of lying to his Mama.

In response, he pursed his lips. Actually, he wasn't reading as his mind was wandering off, imagining how the new baby would take all the affection which he had been receiving.

Seeing his reaction, Lee Xuiye understood that he had been lying to her "Tell me what happened?"
