383 Sleep on the couch! Part-2

Facing Lee Xuiye's direct question, Mo Reng didn't know how to respond.

Lee Xuiye didn't force him and calmly waited for him to say. Finally, after being unable to hold her intense staring, "Mama…" Mo Reng called her in a low voice while his round black eyes looked at her with traces of tears evident at their corners.

"What happened?" Lee Xuiye's heart sank seeing tears in her son's eyes.

"You won't love me once the baby arrives." Mo Reng grunted while trying to hold back his tears but in vain.

"Who told you this?" Lee Xuiye pulled him in her embrace and softly asked.

In response, Mo Reng shook his head "No one…"

"I...just feel like that…" Mo Reng whimpered while staring at his hands. He didn't have the courage to look at her as he knew that he wasn't her biological son so it was inevitable for her to love her biological child more.

"And why do you feel like that?" Lee Xuiye calmly asked him to know which thing had been bothering him. 

Since they had adopted him, Lee Xuiye had started reading books to learn how to take care of a child. Though Mo Reng was not their biological son, still, he was their child so Lee Xuiye didn't want him to be deprived of anything which she had faced in her childhood.

"Because you didn't come to play with me and…" Mo Reng struggled to speak further.

But Lee Xuiye gently coaxed him to continue speaking "And?…" 

"And I...I choose Mother so…"

"So...you thought I won't love you once my baby comes into this world." Though Mo Reng didn't complete his sentence, Lee Xuiye caught the meaning behind his hesitant and broken answers...

Although Mo Reng had apologized for the decision he had taken and Lee Xuiye had forgiven him, still, he was always cautious in front of her and always paid attention to her, even more than before.

Lee Xuiye liked his attention so she didn't say anything but unexpectedly she got this great news which she desperately wanted to hear for a long time…

However, she didn't expect that this great news would cause uneasiness in her son's heart.

Lee Xuiye smiled at him and pinched his nose, "You are so little, but your thoughts are already running so wild. I will never stop loving you. Do you know why?"

"Why?" Mo Reng sparkling eyes intriguingly looked at her in anticipation of the answer.

"Because…" Lee Xuiye saw the anticipation in his eyes so to tease him, she deliberately took her time to reply to him which annoyed him.

"Mama!!!" Mo Reng pouted unhappily.

"Haha!!! Because you are my first son, my first baby...so no one can take my first baby's position."

"Really?" Mo Reng looked at her in disbelief.

"Really!" Lee Xuiye's firm answer brought a shining smile on his face which seemed to have been lost since Lee Xuiye arrived home.

"But now I have Little Apple." Mo Reng innocently replied.

"Yes! You have him but Little Apple won't stay with you every day."

"Why?" Mo Reng knitted his little brows as he frowned.

"Because he has his own home while the baby would stay with my Xiao Reng all the time and play with you."

"But I like to play with Mama more." Mo Reng hugged her and buried his face in her shoulder.

"Me too!"

With that, the uneasiness in Mo Reng's heart had been resolved but that was not the case for Mo Lingtan.

In fact, Mo Lingtan's uneasiness had increased.

"What do you mean we can't make love?" Mo Lingtan unhappily asked.

He had been bearing the fact that once his wife came out of their room, her family was constantly pestering her and roaming around her all the time like bees around honey while they were treating him like he was a mite, their enemy.

However, he swallowed down his grievances in hope that in the night, once his wife came back to their room to sleep, he would put out his grievances on her. 

However, now out of the blue, Lee Xuiye had handed over a pillow to him and showed him the direction of the couch.

"Haven't you heard Dr. Si's words? We can't have sex for the next three months, but...I want to be extra careful, therefore, I think it would be excellent if you sleep on the couch so that we won't lose control in the middle of the night." Lee Xuiye stated her point sternly with no room for further negotiation.

"But the baby is now two weeks old and we have been making love every night and nothing has happened to it. Besides, I will be more careful and gentle so there is no need for me to sleep on the couch!" Though Lee Xuiye had stated her point, it didn't mean he would agree to it.

Mo Lingtan attempted to sleep on the bed but suddenly, Lee Xuiye stood up and warned "If you sleep here, I will go and sleep with Xiao Reng."

"You dare to?" Mo Lingtan gritted his teeth.

Wasn't Mo Reng getting enough attention from her?

If she would sleep with him, wouldn't Mo Lingtan's position be worse than Tang Hu's?
