There was an obligation to tell the other person that they were loved dearly and Qian Meng didn't think Mo Qingchen would utter those words even if there was a gun pointed at his head.
"Among the coming celebrity weddings, no matter who we contact for this, there is a chance of word getting out to the public. And we save a lot of money if it's your wedding."
Qian Meng cleared her throat. "You want to monetize my relationship and make me the real face of Venus, is that it?" She wouldn't be the first founder who made an appearance in contributing to product sales. But she was not sure she wanted a grand wedding.
It didn't look good for her. And she was not going to fake it.
"Ma'am. It's the best type of plan. I don't think we can get any more radical than this. It's quenching the curiosity of the public. The buzz about your ring is ongoing as well. So people are looking forward to seeing more romance from Mr. Mo and you."
It was enticing.
"If it does happen, when will the shooting happen?" Qian Meng asked finally.
"Three weeks from now," Ma Qui perked up, seeing that there was a possibility of it happening.
"Until then, make sure to concentrate on the shorts for advertisements. I will consider the proposal about the wedding. I really like the idea but I am not comfortable with being the face of this promotion," she admitted. "But make sure to send me the plan. Don't put in too much effort into it."
She would have to make a decision within two weeks. She would need to talk to Mo Qingchen about it soon. Another headache.
The thought of saving money and monetizing everything was an infinite earning loop. She loved the idea. But…
She listened to the rest of the meeting and sighed when it was over.
"Great job, guys. I'll look forward to your final proposals," she said finally, before standing up and leaving.
Li Min quietly followed her.
"What do you think about the idea?" Qian Meng asked.
"It's brilliant. But this is your private life with Mr. Mo. Boss, you need to decide after talking to your husband." Li Min was good at these things. She knew what Qian Meng was thinking and reaffirmed or denied those thoughts.
Qian Meng nodded. "Feels wrong to drag my husband into a grand wedding when it was something both of us didn't want." But Mo Qingchen also loved showing off their relationship.
She sighed. She would just ask him and get it over with.
Her phone pinged with a message and she pulled it out.
[Baby, I need to for a business meeting. I'll leave tomorrow evening and come back on Sunday.]
She read the long message and smiled. And then the message sank in.
She started typing quickly. [I hope it's nothing to worry about.]
That was her first thought. Mo Qingchen's response came within seconds.
[Something popped up. But it's not bad. Business expansion style. Will tell you at home. You'll be okay staying home alone?]
And then she remembered that he would be gone the weekend. Bummer.
[I'll be fine. Pick me up in the evening. I want to talk to you, too.]
Despite what she anticipated, she never got to talk to Mo Qingchen about the shoot. He was just busy with calls from executives. She watched him work for the better part of the night and then snuggled into him, slowly drifting to sleep.
She would tell him when he came back from his business trip.

Qian Meng woke up to the sound of Mo Qingchen shuffling around. He was moving about, going from the bathroom to the bedroom as he packed. This was the first time he was packing his back after their trip to Hong Kong. Sadly, this time, she wasn't accompanying him.
She sighed and rolled over to face him. With that, she stretched her arms over her head.
"Is my sleeping beauty awake?" he asked with an amused smile as he walked back to the edge of the bed where the open duffle bag was kept.
Qian Meng nudged at the bag with her feet, trying to get it out of her sight. As if it could disappear and her husband wouldn't have to leave.
"Hi," she said sleepily.
She watched as he slipped a pair of dress shoes with an amused smile at her cat-like antics into a satin slip bag. He then packed it into a bigger bag. Mo Qingchen now paid attention to his appearance, especially because she was always picking everything for him. But his aesthetic sense had improved since marrying her.
"Did you have a good nap?" he asked, crouching down beside her and caressing her sleepy face. She gave him a silly smile.
"I did. What time is it?" she asked as she nuzzled her face into his palm.
"Almost eight," he responded.
"Oh no. Your sister is going to be here soon," she moaned. She needed to get up. This was the first weekend apart from Mo Qingchen since she started working five days a week and he had a business meeting. So, he wanted her to take the moment to spend time with his sister.
Qian Meng wanted her friend back and all well, so she shrugged and readied for a small sleepover.
"I was just about to wake you up. You will need more sleep. I think you two will be giggling and partying when I am gone, so I wanted you to rest up."
Qian Meng giggled sluggishly. It could be true.
"Did you get any sleep?" she asked, getting to the main question.
"Surprisingly, I got a fifteen-minute shut-eye."
Qian Meng rolled her eye. "You're still not human. You have a long way to go ahead of you, husband."
He laughed throatily and bounced to his feet to go over to his duffle bag and zip it. "I'm all packed, I think."
