17 Chapter 17 : He Ad A ch E

The walk was only two blocks from the Mansion so it didn't take long to just walk there. The sun already went down and it was dark but there was a huge campfire lighting up the entire area.

People all around were already singing and dancing. Some tried to invite others and some just sat down and talked to other people. People were already eating, enjoying their meal to the fullest.

Diana and I arrived with a few disguised shadow clones behind us so it looked like a new group just emerged. They got a bit alerted and stared at us.

"Hi!! I was hoping you wouldn't mind us joining. I'm Krius and this is Diana. We are new to this neighborhood so we were hoping to get along if possible. We brought a lot of food and alcohol with us to share if you don't mind us joining."

"Hahahaha, No No, of course, we don't mind!! Come on join us!! This festival is meant for us to meet new people anyway so we always welcome anyone!!" A middle-aged man stood up and invited us in. He seemed really friendly and didn't seem to be wary of us at all.

"My name is Albert!! I hope we can get along!" He came up to me and extended his hand.

"Of course Albert!!" I said as I shook his hand.

"Oh, you can put the food there, everything is being distributed from there." He pointed his hand towards a place a bit away from the fire. There were a bunch of ladies distributing the foods to other people. I commanded the shadow clones to put the food there and disappear.

"Are your people not staying?" Albert asked seeing all the clones leaving.

"Uh no, they have some work to do. Don't worry they may come back later." I say putting on a smile.

I sit down beside the fire with Albert while Diana goes to talk to the other ladies. Albert and I talk to each other about our lives, well technically his life I'm just making up stuff.

Albert is apparently the owner of an inn. His business is pretty lively since there are people coming to the city every day. I guess it's pretty lively around here as well. As I was conversing with Albert I was taking quick glances at Diana to make sure she wasn't causing any trouble. She was actually getting along pretty well with the other ladies as well.

"Hmm...That your wife?"

"No, nothing like that. We're just good friends."

"Hahaha well, I wish you good luck with that." Albert laughed out loud while continuously smacking my back.

Albert noticed me frequently looking at Diana. I should have been more conspicuous?

Well whatever, I enjoyed my time conversing with various kinds of people and get to know them. Obviously, not everyone is friendly, even though I changed my appearance to look more American. People like that are everywhere.

I just ignored them after that and continued with other friendly ones. Normal alcohol can't get me drunk so I bought special ones from the System store for Diana and me.

If normal people drank from them it won't be much different from regular alcohol for them so it's only special for people who have natural detoxifying capabilities.

We spent the whole night drinking and partying and before I knew, everyone was already passed out. Someone went home early, some stayed behind.

"Krius.....let's go back, it seems everyone is already down." Diana came up to me with her face flushed red from the alcohol.

"Yeah.....*hiccup*" Fuck I might've had a bit too much to drink as well.

"Pffft.....Are you drunk?" She giggled covering her mouth.

"No....maybe. Hmm....but you are drunk as well you know?" I said shakingly pointing at her.

"Ahhh....my head feels like a mess...I wanna go back!!" She yelled back pouting. Didn't know she could pout though. That was kinda cute to be honest.

"Alright....alright, let's go home," I said extending my hand towards Diana. She took it and immediately grabbed onto my arm. That surprised me, Diana would never deliberately grab my arm. So drunk Diana is a bit more forceful?

We walked back to the house since I was too drunk to think of the place I was gonna teleport to. She was resting her head on my shoulder till we reached the mansion.

After getting home, I got her to her room and walked back to my own room then I immediately fell asleep.

Next Morning, I woke up with a painful headache.

"Damn that Alcohol...I shouldn't have drunk that much...." I was banging my head with my hand as I was getting up, not even paying attention to my surroundings.

"Greetings, Master." Suddenly a female voice came from the corner of the room. I almost jumped at the voice but managed to calm myself before I did.

"Who the fuck are you ??" I acted as if I wasn't surprised at all. It was a girl bowing her head down. She was an average height girl in full Assassin outfit with her face covered. The only thing that stood out was voluptuous breasts even under her pressed clothing.

"League of Assassins, Messenger branch." She slowly turned her head to look at me but stopped below my waist. UH FUCK!! I forgot that I always sleep without any clothes on. Hey!! Don't you dare judge me!! People have their preferences!!

"Okay? Why are you here?" I didn't bother covering up and asked staring right at her.

"I have come to deliver this letter from the Demon's Head." She said after immediately looking down hearing my words.

I received a letter from her and read it instantly. It was an invitation to a meeting. Apparently, almost all of the World's hidden powers like the League and Owls gather once every few years to share information or sort out some of their differences.

Wait....hidden organizations...does that mean someone like Vandal Savage would be present there? Hmmm, this will take place in a month, I will definitely go there personally.

"Tell Ra's that I will talk to him about this later. You may leave now." I waved my hand towards her, signaling her to leave.

"Yes, Sire." She nodded and instantly vanished.
