Chapter 509 - Abandon

That laughter, like the spring rain, melted my heart in an instant.

I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall near the door.

"Miss, Miss, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Banxia anxiously called out to me.

The voices in my ears receded like the tide.

I opened my eyes and looked at Banxia's concerned and nervous face. I gently shook my head. "I feel a little dizzy. Perhaps I was running too fast earlier."

We quickly followed Lu Heng and entered the main control room.

Lu Heng ordered the staff in the computer room, "Cut off the internet immediately, extract the data, cut off the power, and blow up this place!"

His order was completed in one go. Everyone was stunned for a moment before they immediately went back to work.

The flashing numbers on the computer made me dizzy. I closed my eyes. I silently leaned against the wall.

Lu Heng quickly inspected everyone's work. He walked to me and said respectfully, "Don't be afraid, Miss. We'll protect you all the way to the ship?"

"Where are my uncle and Ma Ji?" I asked him.

Lu Heng said, "Sir and Mrs. Ma Ji are protected by another team. Don't worry."

I nodded in confusion.

There was a loud sound, and the ground started to shake.

Banxia screamed and hugged me.

"Team Leader Lu, the enemy is here!" A guard ran in.

Lu Heng yelled at the panicking staff behind him, "Don't leave your post! Continue working on the computers!"

Then he pulled out his gun and rushed out with his men.

I concentrated on the computer screen, my hands tightly clenched into fists in my sleeves.

Banxia nervously looked outside.

I suddenly realized that the two computers closest to me were monitor screens, showing multiple dots.

My heart sank again. The dots were the places I frequented. I have always been under their surveillance.

Everyone was busy. Banxia stood on tiptoe at the door and looked out.

I moved closer to the monitors and switched the screen with my mouse. Soon, I found the camera at my uncle's main house.

The servants were busy moving things. I sat down in front of the computer and switched through the different cameras. The servants were moving things to the boat.

Ma Ji arrived to help my uncle. Both of them looked a little tense. Another team of guards escorted them onto the boat.

I let out a soft sigh. No matter what, it was good that they were safe. They must be moving to the ship.

I switched to another surveillance camera. Sure enough, a medium-sized ship was docked on the back mountain.

But why didn't my uncle take me with him? Why did he send his righthand man, Lu Heng, to me instead?

No wait, Banxia and I came here by accident. Lu Heng didn't come for me, He came for this computer center.

So Uncle and Ma Ji never thought to bring me with them? I watched them get on the boat, and I couldn't describe the feeling in my heart.

Was I abandoned? My Uncle, who said he loved me so much, didn't hesitate to abandon me.

My face was cold. I reached out to wipe away my tears.

I watched my uncle's boat sail away from the shore. My heart gradually turned gray.

Suddenly, a light flashed on the screen. I was so scared that I jumped.

The chair's legs rubbed against the ground with a piercing sound. Everyone looked over.

I covered my mouth to prevent myself from screaming. However, I couldn't control my body from trembling. Tears streamed down my face.

"Miss, what's wrong?" Banxia threw herself at me and hugged me.

I pointed at the monitor screen and couldn't speak.
