Chapter 510 - On The Ship

"What happened?" Lu Heng strode in, his body smelling like gunpowder.

Everyone glanced at me before getting back to work.

"Miss?" Lu Heng looked at me.

I pointed at the monitor screen for Lu Heng to see.

The flames were dying on the sea. There was wreckage everywhere.

Lu Heng was also greatly shocked.

"Uncle, he is on that ship." I sobbed.

Lu Heng's expression was extremely ugly.

"Leader Lu, we're done."

"Leader Lu, we're done as well."

Someone came over to report.

Lu Heng waved his hand. "Retreat immediately. Cut off the power. Team Five, stay behind and wait for everyone to leave before burning this place down."

Then, he gently said to me, "Miss, follow me."

Then, he rushed out without turning back.

Banxia and I followed behind him. As we left the computer center, we ran into the enemy.

Lu Heng organized his people to enter combat. He stuck close to Banxia and me. We retreated carefully.

Echoes of gunshots shattered my ears. We stumbled forward. My mind was already numb. There was too much information that I didn't have time to digest.

However, survival was the most important thing at the moment.

When I finally came to the beach and saw the boat, my first thought was, Will it explode?

"Miss, it's too late. Jump into the water and swim to the boat," Lu Heng whispered to me.

Before I could turn around, he had already pushed me into the water.

I immediately swam to the boat. Banxia followed me closely. She had stopped crying. We eventually reached the boat.

When our ship sailed out of the harbor, my heart finally returned to my stomach.

Everyone collapsed on the deck.

There were only eight people on the ship, including Banxia and me. The rest was Lu Heng and his brothers.

They didn't say anything. Banxia and I leaned on each other with lingering fear.

Lu Heng reached out to wipe his face. He sat up and glanced at everyone. He said in a deep voice, "Brothers, we haven't reached the safe zone yet. We can't rest. We have to move at full speed. We need to reach the shore."

After the long night, his voice was hoarse.

He stood up shakily and went down to the captain's room. The other five stood up and followed him.

No one looked at us.

Banxia pulled me back. "Miss, why are they ignoring us?"

I smiled bitterly. "They've lost so many brothers for us. Do you think they'd smile at us? It's good enough that they didn't throw us off the ship."

Banxia was stunned. "Then, then what should we do?"

I struggled to stand up. "Let's get down too. Let's see if there's anything we can do. We're literally on the same boat. We should help out wherever we can."

Banxia nodded. "I can help them clean."

I smiled wryly. "Is cleanliness really that important when our lives are on the line?"

"You're right... Then, we can cook for them." Banxia suggested.

I nodded. "Food is important. Okay, let's go look for food."

We were planning to move. This ship and the one, which got blown up should be prepped with supplies.

I tried my best to get rid of the messy thoughts in my mind. I went to search for food and supplies with Banxia.

Lu Heng and his people were busy. They didn't have time to care about us.. No one came to stop us from rummaging through stuff.
