"Should I go kill that insect for violating our sects honor old ancestor?" said the sect master inside the Scarlet Sapphire Sect.

"No, if he's related to that madman Liang Fen leave him the hell alone or you'd be seeking death for all of us. Have you ever been to Sword Gash Ridge, where young and old disciples go annually to gain enlightenment on Sword Dao?" said the old ancestor.

"Yes, what does that have to do with Liang Fen?" said the sect master.

"When I was but a boy not even in Qi-gathering, there used to be a sect much more powerful than ours there, The Storm Caller Sanctum. Until one of their elders called Liang Fen a smelly beggar when he was taking a nap in front of the sect," said the old ancestor as he shook his head.

"With one casual chop from him, the entire sect was gone. Everyone from the disciples, to the elders, to the sect master, and even the old ancestor were obliterated creating the Sword Gash ridge we still study today. Not even chicken or dog was spared."

The sect master's back drenched with cold sweat. He still visited Sword Gash ridge annually to seek his own enlightenment on the Sword Dao, and still was not able to gain much from studying it.

"Who are you?" I heard the heavens say again as I headed off to the next sect for gate crashing.

"I'm the young swordsman, Shi Da. The greatest swordsman in the land," I responded. These stupid heavens are going to stop asking me who I am. I know clearly who I am!

The next sect I wanted to go gate crash was the Wave Blossoms Sect. It was an all female sect not too far from the Scarlet Trash Sect. I hoped they would be able to put up a better fight for this young swordsman. I need to find a chance to make a breakthrough.

If I kept fighting trash all day how was I ever going to gain more enlightenment on the Dao?

While I was walking on my journey some dirty kid ran up to me.

"Hey, I saw how you beat up those guys at the Scarlet Sapphire sect. They used to always beat me up in town because I'm an orphan. Can I follow you big brother," said the little boy.

"What's your name kid?" I said as I tossed my new shiny red sword over my shoulder.

"I'm Pan Heng," said the dirty little kid.

"This young swordsman is in need of capable men to handle his affairs during his travels. From now on you are this young swordman's follower," I said.

'If only I had some kind of contract to guarantee this little brats loyalty,' I thought.

So that was the moment I recruited my first follower in the Moon Dusk World. We both were orphans but the little boy was more pitiful than me. Pang Heng had a way with words at least. Living on the streets had given him a dirty mouth. Now that he had a backer he could let his arrogance burst forth.

"Come out now and line up quickly so my young swordsman can take his pick. My young swordsman doesn't have all day to waste at this Save Blossoms Sect! This the fortune of a lifetime for you talentless bed warmers!"

His shameless spewing of vulgarities got the attention of all the ladies in the Wave Blossom Sect. Even a few old hags came out.

"Little beggar how dare you spew such nonsense outside of the Wave Blossom Sect's gates. Where is your master?" said one elderly looking old hag.

Cultivators usually stayed looking young, only those who couldn't continue to breakthrough in their cultivation would ever show the signs of aging. These old hags were obviously talentless elders who only stayed at the sect to do a supporting role.

I took the stage from my shameless new follower and responded to the old hag.

"Excuse my servant he has a dirty mouth, this young swordsman has yet to train him well. This young swordsman only pursues the Dao, I don't have any time for gathering beauties. I just happened to pass by your sect and was looking to see if you had any talented young ladies that wanted to debate the Dao with me," I said.

"As the legacy disciple of the Heaven Splitting Sect, I don't have to answer to you old lady. My master, Liang Fen, is too busy studying the profundities of the Dao to watch after a young swordsman like me," I said as I swaggered about.

"He told me the entire Moon Dusk World was my sect training grounds and if any elder had a problem with my training to go look for him. If you don't even know who my great master Liang Fan is then you're obviously too low rank in your sect to even fart in my presence." I boasted shamelessly.

"Fairy Shen, as a member of the junior generation in the same realm, beat this so-called 'young swordsman' until an inch of death so his so-called 'great master' can come pick him up," said the old hag.

"I want to meet the shameless man who raised such an unruly brat," said the old hag.

"Yes, Elder Qian I will show him no mercy!" said a young teenage girl who stepped forward in the crowd. She was a bushy haired brunette with freckles. I was immediately was captivated by her beauty.

"I am Shen Ruogang, the Eldest Senior Sister in the Qi-gathering realm of the Wave Blossom Sect," said the freckled girl.

She immediately started making hand signs and sent forth a stream of water right at me. This girl wasn't a soft permission like those loudmouths at the Scarlet Trash Sect. This young swordsman is finally about to taste a good battle!
