In the end, Niken followed Sora and walked through the forest path to the Wolf clan's private cemetery.
After ten minutes of walking, Niken was presented with a building made of glass like the greenhouse she had read in a book. But this isn't a greenhouse for plants or something, and it's for a burial ground??
Niken looked at Sora in amazement while the young man only offered a smile.
The two of them walked closer to the greenhouse, and from outside, they saw the figure of a man with his back facing them.
That man was none other than Kazuto. Seeing that the man's back was not as strong as usual, Niken doubted whether her decision to come here was the right one or not.
"Sora, we better go back. Looks like he wants to be alone."
"Even if he wants to be alone, he will still feel happy if you accompany him."
"Why can you be so sure?"
"You are his inamorata. You are his love life. Trust me. There isn't anyone he wants to be in this world except you." Sora opened the door noiselessly then invited Niken in.
Niken walked into the greenhouse, while Sora returned to leave them.
In the end, Niken sauntered over to Kazuto and stood silently right behind the man. She still doubted whether she could come here while Kazuto didn't invite her.
She also still wasn't sure if the man wanted her here.
But she's already here, and it would be weird if she decided to leave right now.
Besides, she was sure that Kazuto had noticed her presence. The man has a sharp hearing and smell. Niken was confident that the man knew that she was already behind him.
Just as she expected, Kazuto stretched his right hand back towards Niken. Understanding the meaning of the movement, Niken welcomed the helping hand, and their hands clasped each other.
Kazuto led Niken to stand next to him without turning his attention to a tombstone on the table.
Niken could see that there was a kanji engraved on the tombstone. She didn't understand the writing, but she knew the tombstone's engraving was a person's name.
Devotedly and patiently, Niken accompanied Kazuto there in silence. Every now and then, her hand would stroke the man's arm as if to give him support and say that she would be here with him.
Kazuto was quite consoled by Niken's silent support and snaked his arms around her inamorata's waist.
Unintentionally, Kazuto's hand touched Niken's bandaged hand, making Niken grimace.
Kazuto immediately broke his gaze from his late sister and turned his head towards his love.
"What's wrong?"
Softly and without coercion, Kazuto grabbed Niken's hand that was hidden behind. His eyes darkened when he saw the white cloth wrapped around almost the entire girl's arm.
"What happened? How did your hand get hurt?"
"To be honest, I don't know either. When I woke up earlier, my hands were bandaged like this."
"Where is Sir Lionel? Where's Izzy? "
"Sora told me that Sir Lionel was out looking for something. Meanwhile, Izzy is in your house."
"What about Hokuto?"
"Hokuto?" Niken tried to remember where she had heard that name. However, no image could ring a bell in her mind.
"Who is Hokuto?"
Kazuto clicked his tongue, cursing himself. If he hadn't left Niken alone, maybe this girl wouldn't have been hurt.
He has overestimated the other three Elementalist Knights too much. He thought that by handing over Niken's protection to the three Elementalist knights, he could come to visit his sister in peace.
Who would have thought, Niken was even injured when he was absent.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you."
Niken tilted her head, was confused to hear the words of her lover.
"Tell me, who hurt you? Is there a member of my clan bullying you?"
Niken frowned at this question.
Why did the man give the impression that the wound on her hand had just happened? Didn't she get hurt when that man saved her from the rat beast's attack when they were on the inner side?
"I… I don't remember. In fact, I thought I got this wound when we were on the inner side. Isn't that right?"
"No. When we found you in…" the pause made Niken wonder and curious. "When we took you out of the inner side, your leg was injured from a poisonous snake bite. That's why we called Izzy to treat you."
Niken nodded her head in understanding when she heard her lover's explanation. But she was still curious about the man's broken sentence. Why didn't Kazuto continue his words? Why did the man stop in the middle made her curious?
"Then how can I get hurt?" came the soft voice from Niken. She was very curious about the wound's origin on her hand, but she didn't want to make her lover worry. "Don't worry; Izzy's healing treatment is very effective. I can still move my hands."
Niken reassured the man by moving her right hand up and down. She managed to endure the slight pain as she moved her hand rapidly.
But when she tried to bend her elbow, she felt excruciating pain attack her nervous system. Instantly, Niken did not move and then slowly lowered her hand.
"Does it hurt?"
"No. I am fine."
Kazuto sighed, realizing that his girl was deliberately covering her pain so as not to worry him.
"Do you want to meet my sister? I want to introduce you to her."
Niken smiled and nodded her head as a sign that she was happy to meet the older sister.
Kazuto walked over to the altar table then pressed a button there. Not long after, the tombstone bearing Kazuto's sister's name shifted backward, creating a black hole in its center.
From the hole, various lines appeared like lasers created from magic. The lines move and gather together to form a human face.
Once the laser line finished showing a face, Niken felt like a hammer hit her head continuously.
As soon as Niken saw the laser magic result's face, Niken felt her head was about to explode.
Kazuto's sister was stunning. Her hair color was as black as Kazuto's, and her skin was white like snow. Her lips were red as a pomegranate, and her eyes shone like a galaxy.
Niken was very sure she had never met that woman, but why did she feel that she had seen her at the same time?
The longer she tried to dig into her memories to remember where she had seen Kazuto's sister, the more erratic her heartbeat became.
