Chapter 52

What a coincidence. His own two pets were about to have had a reunion. However, Missy would have definitely not recognized her actual master.

Chu Chen’s mouth twitched as he lamented the wonders of fate. One could only say that it had been fate that brought them together, for they ran into each other at Taihan Snowy Mountain, over 350 kilometers away from Crystal Spring Mountain.

He carefully walked up to Senior Sister Qing Yue’s side and coughed. “Senior Sister, what’s wrong?”

“Secret Sky Sect has matters to deal with here. You people should get out of the way or we’ll have to be rough!”

Before Qing Yue could have replied, a young man from the opposing group snorted. Chu Chen wondered if he was affected by his master, but his nose had pointed up in the sky when he spoke, totally having ignored them like one would a beggar begging for food.

“So it’s the precious eldest daughter of Secret Sky Sect’s master, Miss Xue Leng.”

Qing Yue had a smile on her face as she greeted. “We’re sorry for intruding Miss Xue Leng for we did not know you would be here. Please forgive us. I’m Qing Yue from the Crystal Spring Sect. May I know what brought Eldest Miss Leng here?”

As the saying went, the smiling man does not get hit. Having seen Qing Yue been courteous, Leng Qianxue’s expression softened a little but maintained her arrogance. “Our disciples from the Secret Sky Sect detected a snow python that’s about to transform into a scaled dragon. My father gave the order to have us exterminate the snow python. For that, he had even bestowed upon me his sword for the execution of the scaled dragon!”

While she had been explaining, Leng Qianxue waved her sleeve and a beam of white light shot forth, exploding in the air. It turned into a sword that gave off a bone chilling glow as its light illuminated the area around it while it floated in midair. That sword had been as white as snow without a trace of other colors. It seemed as though it had been sculpted from a piece of ice. The sword emanated an air of majesty and absolute sharpness.

“Divine Snow Prison Sword!”

Qing Yue focused her gaze on it and had been rather surprised. As the sword used by Secret Sky Sect’s master while he had been young, the Divine Snow Prison Sword’s name was known throughout the entire world of cultivators. However, he later changed to a better weapon and this spiritual weapon had been put away. Nevertheless, it was still a spiritual sword. Upon having seen it, she realized that it had truly been extraordinary.

“Eldest Miss Leng, you’re here to kill the snow python and we’re here to harvest the frost lotus. There is no conflict between our goals. Can you please let us pass and collect a few stalks of frost lotus? We’ll be leaving right after,” Qing Yue said with an ingratiating smile.

With Leng Qianxue having pulled out that divine sword, the group from Crystal Spring Sect felt suppressed. She could not have helped but curled her lips upwards. With a simple wave of her hand, the brightly glowing sword made a whistling sound as it transformed into a beam of light that had absorbed into her storage ring. She paused for a moment. “No. we’ve been monitoring this snow python for two months now. It’s just about to come out of its cave and feast on the frost lotus. How can we let you have it. Go away. I’ll forget about your intrusion.”

Those words had been steeped in absolute arrogance, having completely looked down on the group from Crystal Spring Sect.

It caused Li Tian’s face to have turned scarlet. Just as his temper had been about to explode, he saw Qing Yue’s eyes turned cold and pulled the edge of his robe. Qing Yue then sighed quietly and nodded. “If that’s the case, I wish Eldest Miss Leng to be victorious. Let’s go.”

Just as they had been about to back off, behind them, Chu Chen’s expression suddenly turned solemn. He shouted a warning, “Danger! Everyone run!” The next instant, spiritual energy spewed forth and his body shot up into the sky like a missile.

The group from the Crystal Spring Sect had been familiar with Chu Chen’s current expression. Whenever that expression appeared, it meant that a terrible calamity had been coming! That pack of vicious snow dire wolves had been an example.

Due to that, Qing Yue and the gang did not dare let their guards down. All of them circulated their spiritual energy and ran wildly, only having stopped after they were at least a thousand feet away. Turning around, they saw a beautiful figure taking flight amidst the group from Secret Sky Sect. The bright and clear sword created a screen of sword-lights before her.

“Die, evil creature!”

Hum!

The Divine Snow Prison Sword vibrated and emitted a blinding radiance like that of the sun. The dazzling sword Qi raged downward, stabbing at the ground.

“Eldest Miss, be careful!”

Within the screams, that white colored figure wrapped in sword-lights slammed forcefully against another ball of white light that appeared suddenly. In that instant, a strong light enveloped everything as a scorching shockwave emanated outward from that point.

Roooaaarrr!

During that ear-piercing roar, the originally calm ground rippled violently. A huge figure shot out from the ground, having brought with it big chunks of rocks and dirt.

In the distance, Chu Chen’s group narrowed their eyes. The thing that broke out from the ground had been the gigantic head of a vicious scaled dragon!

Its massive snake head tunneled out of the ground and bellowed into the sky pridefully. That had been a colossal snow python. They could not have told how long it had been as the body of the giant python had still been hidden deep underground. Only its head had been out in the open.

The colossal snake seemed enraged. It shook its head wildly as though it had been trying to get its body out of the ground. However, something weird happened. The lower body of the giant python appeared as though it had taken root in the ground. No matter how much it struggled, it had still been trapped in the ground, being unable to have freed itself.

Along with the giant python’s violent movement, the entire paradise of ice and snow had turned into a desolated ruin. Pieces of rocks, dirt, sand, ice, and snow flew about in the entire region. The giant python seemed to have been trying its hardest. Its body had pulled taut as it tried to pull its body up from underground. However, its snow white body had been filled with countless criss-crossing lines of blood. The lower half of its body underground had been unable to have moved even by an inch.

“Shame, what a shame.”

Chu Chen’s clothes moved about as the little hamster’s aged voice appeared in his mind suddenly. “If this snow python spent a few more decades in cultivation before attempting to break through its cultivation stage, it would surely be successful in its transformation. It’s cultivation path is that of an earth dragon. As of now, it had yet to absorb sufficient earth Qi and tried to break through. It’s doomed to fail! Sigh, why are youngsters these days so impatient? Humans or snakes, they’re all the same!”

Chu Chen’s mouth twitched. Ever since he had made the blood pact with the little hamster, he could have communicated with it through his soul. His curiosity had been piqued. ‘Earth dragon? What’s that?’

“This snow python is just a regular snake without any special bloodline. Therefore, its future is limited. No matter how hard it tries, it will never become a divine dragon that rules the heavens. Even at its peak, it would only be an earth dragon. That’s the lowest rank among the true dragons. However, it’s still too young. Because it did not spend a few more decades absorbing the earth Qi, half its body had turned into a scaled dragon while the other half merged with the earth and has yet to take shape. No matter how powerful it is, it would not be able to put it on display. It’s destined to be slaughtered by humans. Impatience is its doom…” the little hamster sighed, its tone filled with a great disappointment.

“However, this cliff would not have any survivors. These people are not its match. You should leave quickly as well. At your current level, you’re still not its match. You better leave as soon as you can.” The little hamster let out another sigh.

Meanwhile, Chu Chen’s gaze fell upon Missy, who had still been holding onto the Divine Snow Prison Sword. That arrogant Missy had already stored up her power and had been ready for another round of attack!

That had just been asking for death! Could it be that he would have had to watch as his pet plunged into a certain doom?

The answer was no. Chu Chen moved his body and dashed straight toward the colossal snow python’s direction, charging forward without having looked back!
