Chapter 53

Chu Chen sped forward at high speed like an eagle swooping in on its target.

Meanwhile, the group from Secret Sky Sect had been recklessly fighting with the snow python. Sword-lights filled the sky and spiritual energy had erupted all around. Flashes of dazzling radiant spiritual energy beams filled the sky like a magnificent light show.

The colossal snow python was ferocious. It had snow-white scales growing all over its body, having made it impervious to regular weapons. When the regular disciples from the Secret Sky Sect hacked at it, sparks flew without having caused it any actual damage. The only one that could harm it was Leng Qianxue’s Divine Snow Prison Sword.

Every time that sword was swung, it left a long white mark on the snow python’s body. After several strikes on the same spot, it managed to cause a crack on its steel-like scales, having revealed the reddish flesh underneath.

That caused the snow python’s temper to worsen. However, its temper would not have made a difference as the lower half of its body had still been buried deep in the ground. Only the top 30 feet portion of its body had been able to take part in combat, having limited its movements and placed the initiative in its opponents’ hand.

Those from the Secret Sky Sect had not dared to get up too close to it as a hit from that colossal body would have decimated them in an instant.

They mimicked Leng Qianxue’s approach of hitting and running, and repeated the process.

Leng Qianxue’s own cultivation level was decent. Her arrogance had been without reasons. The eldest miss of the Secret Sky Sect had a cultivation stage at the fifth level of Spiritual Droplets Stage, a whole level higher than Senior Sister Qing Yue’s group.

All of a sudden, the colossal snow python made a vicious roar and opened its terrifying jaws wide apart. In an instant, the air seemed to turn turbulent as countless strong air currents converged at high speed towards the python’s jaws.

A surge of horrifying destructive aura emanated from the python’s jaws that caused everyone’s eyebrows to twitch violently. The snow python had been going berserk!

“Oh no!” The hamster within Chu Chen’s clothes squirmed as its voice carried along a hint of worry. “You better not go over. Although this snow python failed its breakthrough in its cultivation stage, half its body had transformed into a scaled dragon. That’s sufficient for it to have utilized the scaled dragon’s innate spell. Although the power is halved, it’s not something you guys can withstand. You better run for it!”

Even without his warning, the terrifying and oppressive pressure in the air had already caused everyone’s expression to have changed. Senior Sister Qing Yue, who had already retreated to the edge of the cliff shouted, “Chu Chen, come back quickly! This beast has a hidden move. We better leave this place as soon as we can!”

Despite that, Chu Chen still charged forward.

“Junior Brother Chu, what are you doing? Come back!” Qing Yue shouted anxiously.

“I’m saving them!”

Chu Chen’s voice drifted over from afar.

“You’re crazy! That’s a scaled dragon-python hybrid, not a wolf!”

Qing Yue kicked off the ground and tried to have leapt forward, but she had been held back. “Senior Sister, Junior Brother’s luck will see him through. Our cultivation is too low and won’t be much help. We better get going.”

Turning around, she could see Liu Bo’s helpless expression.

“You..” Qing Yue’s face was filled with rage. Just as she had been about to say something, she figured that having rushed over would have only been sending herself to a certain doom. In the end, she sighed helplessly.

As Chu Chen neared the center of the battle, he felt the invisible oppressive aura in the air having grown stronger continually. The entire area had been filled with a feeling of killing, wildness, and destruction.

Crack!

A portion of the rampaging snow python’s colossal body suddenly broke free from the ground. While it had been channeling its power, the snow python’s attack range had increased significantly.

Bang, bang, bang!

Several Secret Sky Sect’s disciples had been slapped by its whipping body and were smashed into pieces, having been splattered away in a cloud of blood and gore.

The remaining disciples from the Secret Sky Sect had been intimidated and retreated quickly. The snow python had been swinging its body with terrifying strength. Even the slightest hit would torn their bodies apart.

“Eldest miss, let’s go! This snow python is too strong. We’re no longer able to near its body. If it starts casting powerful spells, we won’t be able to withstand it!”

While the disciple from the Secret Sky Sect shouted a reminder, Leng Qianxue once again executed another attack while holding onto her Divine Snow Prison Sword.

“No way. Executing this evil creature is the first mission my father assigned to me. I can’t let him down.”

Leng Qianxue shook her head as the Divine Snow Prison Sword burst into another dazzling ball of light. She soared like a dragon, having gone past the remaining disciples from her sect and shot at the rampaging snow python.

“She’s crazy!”

Having seen Leng Qianxue enter the snow python’s attack range, Chu Chen pushed himself to charge faster.

“Hmph, it’s just a beast. I’ll rid this world of this evil demon today!”

Leng Qianxue huffed and flew up to the snow python. Having arrived before it, she suddenly turned around and shook her sword. Immediately, a large amount of white lights appeared beside her and rained down on the snow python like streaks of meteors!

Secret Sky Sect secret technique—Flying Meteors!

Streaks of dazzling meteors slammed onto the snow python’s body. They were like hot coals that burrowed into a pile of snow, resulting in a large amount of bloody mist.

It tore open a deep bloody gash along the snow python’s steel-like body in an instant. At the same time, the bluish-red blood from the python spattered everywhere, having stained the ground within several dozen feet radius red!

Smack!

Along with the strong impact force, it caused the Divine Snow Prison Sword to have flown off Leng Qianxue’s grasp. At the same time, she grunted in pain as her internal organs suffered the same impact force, having caused her to have spat out a mouthful of blood. She was similarly sent flying for several hundred feet before having crashed hard on the ground.

Leng Qianxue’s face turned pale. She struggled to have stood back up but was met with the sight of the injured snow python in the sky. It had still been as vicious as ever. At that moment, it had already gone berserk and had been channeling its terrifying spell between its wide-open jaws.

It suddenly started trembling at a high frequency. What followed was a portion of the flesh on that snow-white skin exploded as it shuddered. A scale the size of a giant wheel had been sent shrieking through the air straight at Leng Qianxue who had been several hundred feet away!

The situation turned incredibly dire in an instant.

Leng Qianxue’s face had been drained of color immediately. She had just executed the Flying Meteors technique. With such a powerful technique, it sapped her of all strength. Before she could have recovered her strength, she had been unable to have even mustered the strength to stand.

Having looked at the streaking white scale that had been shooting towards her with a blade-like edge, she subconsciously closed her eyes as a feeling of despair welled up inside her.

Everything had been too sudden. Nobody could have anticipated that the python had been able to have produced such an attack by exploding its own flesh while half its body had still been underground and the other half channeled a powerful spell. That scene caused all the disciples of the Secret Sky Sect to have teared up.

“Eldest Miss!”

Boom!

The white scale had been like a blade that sliced through the heavens. It caused an ear-piercing shriek as it cut through the air. That type of scaled dragon’s scales had been even harder than steel. Disciples of the Spiritual Droplets Stage could not have even hoped to have harmed it with their blades. Due to the sharpness of the scale’s edge, it could have been used directly as a broad-edged sword even without any refining done. Even before the edge had hit her, she felt a bone-chilling feeling that came from its edge that caused her skin to have reeled from the pain!

“Idiot, why aren’t you evading?!”

Within that dangerous moment, a greyish figure appeared suddenly. Just before the scaled dragon’s scale arrived, it collided with the stunned Leng Qianxue within a hair’s breadth and sent her flying away!

Whoosh!

The snow-white scale cut through air and dragged a line that had been several feet deep in the ground. Chu Chen held Leng Qianxue in his arms and rolled a few turns before coming to a stop. Leng Qianxue who had shut her eyes and waited for her death suddenly felt a weight on her body as a strong male scent filled her nose. It caused her to have opened her eyes immediately just to see Chu Chen right on top of her with an angry expression on his face.

“Don’t be stubborn. Your life is now yours alone.”
