Chapter 148 - He Won't Be Able To Stay Still

"Don't you want to go? I'm waiting." Felix simply smiled at Yelena, grabbing a wheelchair in both of his hands.

Yelena stared at the wheelchair as if it was her arch enemy. She didn't want to get herself embarrassed by sitting on that thing. "I don't -"

She instantly shut her mouth when her room door flew open. "Yelena!" Barging inside the room with an anxious face was none other than Ella.

Eleanor Geraci's eyes swept around the room and when her eyes landed on her friend who was still sitting on the bed, she rushed to her right away. "What happened? They say that you're abducted!" She holds Yelena and keenly observed her.

"I only have light injuries. Don't worry." Yelena smiled at her friend who looked at her with a face full of horror. She had never seen her this anxious!

"Light injuries?" Eleanor exclaimed and sighed. "What about these thick bandages on your head?" She shook her head in displeasure. Then Arias rushed in too. He saw the two friends and let out a breath. He struggled to keep up with Ella who ran to this room like crazy! She didn't even wait for him on the elevator and go up alone!

"I'm fine. The doctor said that it's not serious. I don't have an internal injury either. I will be discharged soon." Yelena assured her friend.

"Are you really fine?" It was Arias who walked towards the two women and sat beside the bed. After Colonel Maverick death, he thought that Yelena was in this situation due to their shared secret. He thought that it was the doing of the same person. He wanted to ask her about it but not now. Not in the presence of Ella.

"I'm truly fine, Deputy Commander. Thanks for coming. It's quite late now, so I must trouble you a lot." Yelena formally said yet there was a small smile on her face. It's the first time she saw Colonel Arias after that day in Colonel Maverick's office.

That day, Colonel Arias begged for Colonel Maverick, proving how much he cared for him. Now with Colonel Maverick's death, she doubted that Arias would be fine. Did Ella know about the two men's friendship?

Ella turned to Felix who was standing a few steps away from them. "You are also here? When did you come to Silveren?" She asked. She still remembered how the Prince called him last night to ask Yelena's whereabouts.

Come to think of it, the Prince seemed to be quite anxious when they talked on the phone while she simply thought that Yelena had someplace to go. It turned out that she was abducted! Did something was going on which she wasn't aware of?

"Today morning. I'm worried about Yelena, so I came as soon as dawn arrived." Felix said as he withdrew his hands from the wheelchair and walked to them. He sat on the other side opposite Arias.

Ella smiled at his response and turned to Yelena. "Though you went through such things, you are quite lucky, my friend. He flies for 6 long hours because he's worried about you."

Yelena didn't respond and only smiled while the two men also remained quiet.

"But I think it's strange. Didn't you fight back? Your sense is always great and you will surely know if someone approached you." Ella asked Yelena, confused.

Felix felt uncomfortable when he heard Ella's question. He narrowed his eyes at his hands and nervously clenched his fingers. Yelena was quietly staring at him and she didn't fail to notice how nervous he felt. Then she turned to Ella. "I think I was bound to be unlucky that day. Mistakes can happen." She forced a little smile.

Ella nodded though she was not convinced by her friend's response. She knew right away that there was something more to this matter. However, rather than asking, she decided to give her time.

"It's late, Ella. Yelena will also want to rest. I will take you home." Arias said to Ella who was still sitting on the bed beside her friend.

Ella glanced at her watch and frowned. "Okay then." She turned to Yelena and ran a finger through her hair. "I will come again tomorrow. It's late, so rest for now." She calmly said with a face full of concern.

Yelena nodded. "Okay. Thanks for coming, Ella."

"Don't thank me. I'm your friend and it's a given that I come here." Ella slightly smiled and walked out of the room with Arias.

"There's some strange atmosphere going around. What actually happened to her?" Ella muttered the moment she walked out of the room. She rubbed her lips with her fingers, concentrating on her thoughts.

When she felt too troubled, she turned around and through the glass portion of the door, she saw Yelena chatting and smiling at Felix. Then she sighed. "At least she has someone by her side." She murmured.

Arias slightly smiled and hold her hand. "Don't think too much. Yelena is fine."

"I still think that it's strange how she failed to sense the one who abducted her. She is so great at that. Unless there is something that completely distracts her, it's impossible to go near her unnoticed." Ella became more and more confused as many other questions crossed her mind.

Who wanted to harm her friend?

How was her great friend easily abducted?

She heard that Felix was the one who rescued her. How did he manage to do that?!

The more she thinks about it, the more she felt puzzled!

"We will know it soon. Let's trust her for now. Maybe she has some other plan on the mind." Arias tried to assure his curious lover once again. Then he tightened his grip on her hand and pulled her away.

Meanwhile, in the hospital room, Felix was debating on his mind.

What would be the best decision? Shall he just reveal the truth to Yelena's family and friends? They were bound to know once the incident became public anyway. It would be best if he personally tells them the truth.

"What are you thinking? Did Ella's question still troubled you?" Yelena calmly asked him when she saw his troubled face.

With a lowered eyes, Felix remained quiet for a few seconds. Then he looked up at Yelena who was now pressing her back against the head of the bed. She was staring at him the whole time, patiently.

"I think I should inform your family the truth. It would be better if I tell them in person." The Prince stated. The look on his face showed how he wished to avoid this type of talks. Telling them the truth, telling them that his cousin abducted her; it will surely be the hardest thing for him!

"But what about you? I know it's not easy - "

"Yelena, rather than my feelings, your family is more important. Their only daughter is abducted and tortured. They deserved to know the truth. No matter what, it's not fair for them to be kept in the dark." Felix's voice was desperate yet there was firmness in his eyes. He already made up his mind though it's a hard decision.

How will the family react to the truth? Would they be able to accept it? No matter what, they won't be able to look at him the same, not after their daughter went through such things in his cousin's hands and because of him!

"You can take your time. It will be too much for you to rush things. My grandfather won't blame you but you know my father's temper. He won't be able to stay still. With my mother's illness adding to his concern, his reaction might be beyond expectation."

What made the Captain worried the most was her father. The latter disapproved of Felix from the very first place. Though things were starting to work out now, she was afraid that this would ruin everything. The Major General might not be a loving father but he was never the type to forgive anyone who lay a hand on his children!

"But how can I act normal while keeping the truth from them? If your family knew that my cousin abducted and harmed you, all because he hated me, they might not be able to forgive me. I know that but still, I must give it a try. If necessary, I will beg and wait until they forgive me. I don't -"

The Prince instantly stopped talking when the door was suddenly pushed open. Then Major General Ethan Arista made his way to the room. There was an undeniable rage in his eyes! Did he hear everything? Maybe. He already stood near the door for a minute!

Yelena's eyes grew wide at her father's sudden appearance and Felix instantly rose from his seat.

"What are you talking about?" The father's face was fuming red with anger. His eyes resembled a ferocious beast and his aura was no joke!

"Father, I will explain - " Yelena couldn't say anything more as her father interrupted her with his stern voice.

"I'm not asking you, Yelena." The father snapped and turned to Felix. "I'm talking to Felix. Tell me. Who did you say abducted my daughter?"
