Chapter 171 - Rumors

"Hey! Where are you going? You'll be absent if you'll continue this, damn it!" I hissed. I gritted my teeth as I watched him walking like he didn't hear me.

Damn it, Jacob. Why are you so stubborn!

"If you don't stop, I'll throw this shoes on your back!" I warned.

I thought he's going to stop but then he still walked like he doesn't care if I would really do it.

Damn.

I have no choice but to stop and take off my shoes. My legs are already aching for walking and I think it's better to stop him just by doing this.

I glared at his back before taking my time to target his back..

'Shoot'

I smirked when he suddenly stopped after being thrown. He slowly turned to look at me and his brows were all furrowed.

He looked so annoyed and I smelled the victory in my part. Serves him right, huh.

"Why did you--"

"Because you've been ignoring me!" I cut him. I glared at him, seriously he's getting into my nerves for not talking to me.

I always try to talk to him but he's always been the one who avoids it. Like he's really determined to fucking ignore me!

"What did I do so wrong to received this kind of treatment for you, huh?"

He looked away. "You're just thinking it like that.."

"Stop making looked like a freakin' fool Jacob. You're fucking avoiding me and it's fucking obvious!" The heat inside my head was now flaring. "Are you that mad because I didn't tell you about him?"

His brows furrowed, "Why would I?"

"I don't know. Well, maybe you're disappointed!" I'm still glaring at him.

Damn I can't help it, he's so annoying!

"If that's what you think, then.." He raised his hands. "Fine."

He turned his back away and walk away. And now, I'm really pissed. Very pissed!

"We're still talking! Come on, don't act like a freakin' kid Jacob!"

I pulled his hand towards me and dragged him through the gymnasium. We're the only one's here since everyone were already having their own classes.

He just quiet as we walked and I'm surprised that he didn't even protest. He's quiet that I can't even detect what he's thinking right now.

When we get inside, I immediately let go of his hand and sat on the bench. He just stared at me lazily as his hands were all inside his pockets.

"Stop staring and speak. I didn't dragged you here just to fucking stare at me--"

"You're such a brat," He pursed his lips.

"What?!"

"See? You're a brat." I even felt annoyed for that, "I'm not a brat! And you're a jerk!"

"Really?" He asked sarcastically. He bent his body towards me and our faces were so close right now.

He stared at my lips for a few seconds before his eyes went up to have an eye contact with me.

"I told you to stop staring!" I glared at him.

But he just smirked. "There's a lot of girls that's chasing me out there.."

"And so?" I arched a brow, sounding rude to him.

His face looked a bit startled but he immediately licked his lower lip and moved away.

"I want you to know that I'm not interested in them.." I wanted to scowled at him but I can't. I don't even mind if he date each one of them, but he's here telling me this!

Geez.

This guy's really annoying!

"I didn't dragged you here just to hear that Jacob," I straightly said. I know my mouth has no filter. "I want to know why you're avoiding me,"

His lips rose up before scratching his nose. My eyes didn't leave him, instead I focused my whole attention to him. He better not to avoid my question or else..

"I'm not avoiding you, Raine." He's really stubborn, shit!

"I'm not gonna believe you!"

"Then, why are you still asking me?" His brows furrowed again.

Damn, I didn't know that he's also dumb.

I pulled my hairs in so much frustration as I looked at him with a hopeless expression. Damn it.

I shook my head while laughing like a freakin' crazy. "Or you're just busy with Charlotte?"

I can't hide my bitterness on my tone. Is he really avoiding me because I'm just a hindrance of his lovelife? Am I?

"Why do you think that it's because of that? Can't you really find some other excuses to push me away, Raine?" His voice shakes and pain flushed through his face.

"What do you mean excuse--I'm not gonna do that to you! You're just overthinking it, Jacob!"

"I'm just taking my space, Raine. Why can't you give me that?" He broke down, his both knees fell on the ground while he's facing me. "Why do you keep making it hard for me..huh?"

I bit my lower lip. I can't stand seeing him like that. If you'll gonna see, the reason to all of this was just the fact that I hide my past from him and nothing more.

I respect that he's disappointed in me but why does he had to avoid me like I'm a ghost?

"Can't we just make up?" I also sat in front of him. "Hmm?"

I took his hand and held it tighter. He looks at me with a bit hesitated on his face. I know I disappoint him, bit I didn't know that he became affected like this.

I heard his heavy breath and before I ask him again, he already smiled at me and nod.

"Okay," he said before sighing again.

He opened his arms and I gladly took it. I embraced him tighter and patted his back. "Thank you.." I smiled in his back.

I know he can't resist me, he's been always the one who give way to us. He's not the type to ignore me all he wants and that's the best thing that I like about him.

And even if he also do bad at me, I would also accept him with all my heart.

"I can't lose you, Raine.." He whispered.

I stopped, "You're my only true friend.." He continues.

"I'm not going anywhere, you dumbass.." I giggled.

I also heard his chuckles after that which gave me a relief inside. We pulled away with each other and now I can see his eyes smiling at me in happiness.

We're good now and I'm so happy.

"I'm not gonna hide something from you this time.." I promised as I raised my right hand at him.

"You better not.." He pursed his lips before putting his arms around my shoulder.

"Ouch!" I scowled and glared at him.

"Because I'm not gonna let it pass this time. You'll be a dead meat, huh.." He flicked my forehead while laughing.

"Hey!" I shouted but he didn't stop.

"FUCK!"

I pinched his waist and immediately run away from him. He's not the wise one here. I can beat him in anyway too.

"Come here, I'm not gonna do it again.." He gestured me to come but I just shook my head.

"Let's go, we'll be late.." I said and tucked my tongue out.

"Really?" He glared at me. "Really, huh?"

He hissed before walking towards me. I can see the protest in his face but since he can't go against me, he'll do everything just to be in good terms with me.

"Guys! They're here!"

I was surprised to see our classmates shouting like they're so pleased to see us together, like what the fuck!

"What's this.." Jacob muttered in surprise.

I glanced at him and shrugged. "They're just happy, I guess.."

We both sat on our respective desk but I didn't expect that some of our female classmates will come to me. I was shocked at that and Jennie was just laughing beside me.

I gave her a questioning look but she just shrugged and giggled.

"Did Jacob confessed his feelings for you?"

"You chased him there and you came back being okay again, what's the meaning of that?"

"Oh my gosh! I think you're perfect together, Raine!"

"What about Charlotte? That bitch was trying to stole him away from you right? Do you want us to pull that bitch's hair out of here?"

"God! You looked so perfect with each other!"

I think I was going to get dizzy for looking at each one of my classmates who's has a machine gun mouth like. They're talking like they have some back up questions!

What the..

Are they some bunch of paparazzis? And we're not a fucking celebrity!

"I don't know what you're saying.." I looked away. I wasn't used of getting this much attention that's why I immediately hide behind Jennie.

"Guys, slow it down. Don't pressure, Raine okay?"

I thought Jennie wouldn't prevent them but she surprised me with her words.

"But they're so sweet with each other. We even saw them almost kissing!"

My eyes widened to what they said. Oh my god, they saw us!

"And with the way Jacob stares at her--"

"Why do you care?! That's their life, why would you care?" I heard Jennie's voice raised. She's pissed.

"And besides, Jacob and her are just friends. They're nothing more like what you're actually thinking. I'm telling you now.." Marco said.

I heard some of them groaned in disappointment and I think they wanted to ask more but then..

"We're good friends guys. Don't bother her anymore. If you want to ask something, just ask me. I'll gladly answer everything.." I heard Jacob spoke.

I immediately looked at him and got conscious. Not because he's here, but because he'll be bothered with this issue between us.

He glanced at me and smiles, "Raine likes someone else.."
