Chapter 6 - Ch 6 : Prologue And The Battle Between Two Bosses

Dungeon System Ch 6

Finally, the head-to-head between Boss-Ape and Boss-wolf was inevitable.

The boss-wolf who was not in her prime condition stood tall with her majestic aura, and the other danger-beasts couldn't help but give way to the two of them, signaling the peak of the two species battle of survival.

" Groaarr"

" Kyahhkk"

As the two bosses roared at each other, it also signified the start of their battle.

The boss-wolf was the first to move. She knew that her condition was far from her prime, thus taking the initiative in the battle was a must.

She rushed at the side of the Boss-ape and threw a few wind blades at the Boss-ape.

*Swoosh-Swoosh*

Five wind blades flew in the direction of the Boss-ape. However, the Boss-wolf wasn't done yet. At the same time, utilizing her agility, she jumped over behind the Boss-ape and plunge at him, dealing a multi-directional attack.

BOOM!!! A direct hit!!

If it was a normal danger beast, that attack just now would surely end the battle. However, the Boss-ape was no normal danger beast.

Like how the Boss-wolf manipulated the wind element, the Boss-ape was also proficient in using earth elements. He created a stone wall around him, protecting the Boss-ape from the attack of the Boss-wolf.

Soon their exchange of blow began. The Boss-wolf kept firing her wind blades at the Boss-ape, while the boss-ape stayed hidden under the stone wall, trying to find the right time for a counterattack.

As time passed, the boss-Ape who saw himself didn't get any scratch from his opponent's attack gave a maniac grin. He smashed his chest and taunt the boss-wolf like saying that her attack would not even scratch him.

Of course, this taunting was not that simple. The boss-ape also wanted to tell his subordinate that he wouldn't lose to the boss-wolf, so go and rampage all you want because he will handle the boss-wolf on his own.

In an instance, the situation on the battlefield turned around. The morales of the monkey's group were soaring to the sky, and even with Ray's help, all the wolf camp could do was just trying to delay their demise.

The monkeys were rushing at them like they were not afraid of death. Even after losing their arms or legs, they would still pounce madly at the wolves. Some even purposely sacrifice themself so their allies could move forward.

Because of this condition, every and each of the wolf camp hope was placed at the Boss-wolf, and from the look of it, her situation was also not going very well.

With the protection of the stone wall, Boss-wolf's attack wasn't able to reach the Boss-ape, and moreover, a hole had been pierced on the Boss-wolf's shoulder due to a careless mistake.

Everything was turning bad for the wolves camp, and suddenly…

"Aoo!"

It was the wolf pup that Ray had seen with the Boss-wolf before. It seems the wolf-pup saw the unfavorable condition of his parents and rushed here trying to offer some help.

But sometimes, a good intention should have stayed only as an intention. The arrival of the Wolf-pup had only made the situation turned grimmer to the Boss-wolf. Her child was right in front of her, and she could not let her child got hurt in this battle. Some of the monkeys tried to block the Wolf-pup's way, only to face the fury of the Boss-wolf.

At every step the wolf-pup took, the Boss-wolf's heart shooked harder that she wasn't able to notice the boss-ape blow was heading toward her.

*Blast!!*

The Boss-wolf took a hard blow and got blown away pretty far from the battlefield, leaving the wolf-pup invulnerable to the attack of the monkeys.

"Aoooo!"

On Ray's side, he was finally able to finish the group of monkeys ahead of him. It could be said that Ray was one of the greatest contributors to this battle for this wolf's side. Just him alone, Ray had mercilessly slaughtered more than 40 monkeys, and that was not counting the assistance he provided to the other wolves.

And just when Ray was about to find his next group of prey, he saw the wolf-pup was on the siege of three monkeys.

' What the heck is he doing here!'

Ray's greatest motivation to join in this battle between the two races was because he couldn't bear the thought of letting the wolf-pup becoming an orphan. So, seeing the wolf-pup was in great danger, Ray stopped caring about everything else and rushed to his aid.

*BOOM!* *SPLASH* SPLURT*

Just with three smashes of stone in his hand, Ray had ended the life of three monkeys surrounding the wolf-pup.

But when he thought the wolf-pup was finally saved, he suddenly felt a great amount of danger approaching him.

*Slam* *Slam* *Slam*

Ray looked at his side where the sound was coming, and he saw the Boss-ape was heading in his direction.

A Boss-caliber monster was different from a normal danger beast, both in power and intelligence. But this Boss-ape was surely a special case. His intelligence was higher than other Boss-Caliber monsters and seeing that the Boss-wolf has put so much emphasis on the Wolf-Pup, The Boss-Ape knew that this is his key to easily conquer the wolves' camp.

With his four monstrous arms, The boss-Ape would handle the Wolf-pup and make him his hostage.

*BOOM!*

Four monstrous arms clashed with the Big stone held by Ray.

Obviously, Ray was at a disadvantage in this battle, but he knew he must fight. If he were to turn his back away, the Boss-ape would get his hand on the Wolf-Pup, and Ray didn't want to see that.

Ray utilized his twenty points of agility to confused his opponent and somewhat prolong the battle. He knew that his hope of defeating the Boss-Ape was almost close to none if even The Boss-Wolf attack could not scratch him. Even if the two worked together, they may still not be able to pierce the thick defense of the boss-ape; however, Ray wanted to hold on to that thin chance.

He didn't know why, but he had the feeling that the Wolf-boss was able to survive that attack.. And now what he needed to do was just stalling the time for the boss-wolf to return, and they will begin their counterattack.
