"I will use the new Gacha this time." Alex nodded as he looked back on the new Gacha.
There was this red button that intrigued him like it was there just to tempt him. Like how most people would be tempted if there was a single button that he didn't know what it was for, Alex also wanted to hit this button to see what would happen. Luckily he had a tendency to ask first before doing anything.
"Is this the button?"
"Of course. You can push the button, and a crystal will appear." Lin Xingzhi smiled.
Having her confirmed it was okay, Alex pushed the red button. The machine started glowing as the spheres were spinning inside. A few seconds later, one of the crystals dropped to the box before coming out as if the machine shot it.
Alex looked at this crystal that was floating still right in front of the machine. The pure transparent crystal that allowed him to see the yellow and white Gacha Ball inside. The crystal inside shone with white color, making it look special.
Lin Xingzhi slowly walked toward Alex as she waved her hand and took out a small hammer from the Inventory. The hammer wasn't that big as its length was only two times of her palm. In fact, she couldn't grab this hammer with two hands as it would cover it completely. On the tip of the hammer were two flat surfaces, left and right. The handle was a thin golden rod with a size perfect to be grasped by a normal human.
She stretched her hand, giving him the hammer. "You need this."
Alex glanced at her, nodded, and smiled gently. "Thank you."
Taking the hammer from her hand, Alex raised the hammer and slammed it on the crystal.
*Crack!*
He didn't hit it too hard because he didn't know whether it would break the Gacha Ball inside. His strength was too low to the point it barely touched the glass. Yet, the crystals started breaking, and the ball fell.
Alex widened his eyes as he glanced back and forth between Lin Xingzhi and the Gacha Ball.
"Fufu… It's normal." Lin Xingzhi chuckled. "As long as the hammer touches it even with the strength that even a baby wouldn't feel it, it still breaks."
"…" Alex was speechless. Whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, it surely killed the excitement in his heart.
Lin Xingzhi waved her finger, and the ball suddenly flew toward her. She didn't hand the ball to Alex. Instead, she put it in her embrace with the 'G' symbol facing him and pushed it. The head-size ball slowly opened, revealing the reward inside.
Alex squinted his eyes as he wondered what kind of luck he had today.
A black bow rose from the ball as if it just came through a different dimension. The bow itself didn't have any weird pattern and such; only a few parts had green color. A notification appeared in front of him, giving him the name and rank.
[Devastator (SR) Acquired.]
"It's not good to spoil Rose too much." Lin Xingzhi warned him. "It's still rank 7 bow nonetheless while Rose is still a Martial King. If you give her this bow and make her rely on this bow too much, it…"
"I know." Alex stopped her with his words. "I can put it in the Inventory for the time being. Or maybe I can ask Zekhram to fuse a Lightning Gem inside this and give it to Rose through the Gacha? I can set it to the UR item."
"That is a good idea." Lin Xingzhi nodded. "Although I'm worried that she might become reckless to complete missions as to get dice from it, the reward will correspond to her power level. So, she should be able to think that this bow is not fated with her if she can't get it when it's still there."
"That's what I want to do." Alex smirked.
"Though I somehow feel that your common sense is a little distorted." Lin Xingzhi said with a poker face. "You throw away a precious gem like this nonchalantly."
"Well, I have gotten a few gems from Zwaka back then and you." Alex shrugged. "The Gacha system has been leading me out of common sense."
"Now you are blaming me." Lin Xingzhi crossed her arms and looked away. "Though it's already not common sense for a normal human to have a system like this."
"True enough." Alex nodded.
"Rather than talking about this, we should continue breaking the other nine crystals."
Alex agreed with her words and pushed the red button again. He destroyed the crystal again with a slight effort, and Lin Xingzhi picked it up again.
The ball shone in golden color this time before a scroll came out of this ball. This time the scroll size wasn't too big as Alex felt it could fit inside the box as long as they squeezed it.
"Congratulations. You get one UR item." Lin Xingzhi smiled after looking at the golden color.
"Eh?" Alex took a step back while tilting his head, wondering if he heard it right. "This is only the second one, right? I shouldn't get the bonus yet… Does this mean I'm pretty lucky today?"
"Haha… We won't know for sure." She chuckled.
Alex looked at the notification in front of him.
[Fire Authority - Fake Version (UR) Acquired.]
"Fake version?" Alex tilted his head to the front while squinting his eyes. "This… What is this technique? I don't know where to start…"
It was normal for Alex to be speechless. First of all, he never encountered a fake version before, so the sudden appearance of this item startled him. Secondly, Alex couldn't comprehend how exactly a fake version could attain Ultra Rank in the system, even more so when he got this at Martial Monarch Stage.
Suddenly, a ridiculous thought flashed in his mind as he abruptly commented. "If a fake version is this strong, then the real version is a Divine Level Martial Art?"
Alex looked at Lin Xingzhi, who only smiled at him, not giving him any answer.
"Well, I can say I'm curious about this Fire Authority that has such a high rank. I will check it later after I use all of my Gacha Hammers."
Alex then proceeded to the next crystal, and so on.
[Rank 7 Monster Blood (R) Acquired.]
[Sun Cleaving Technique (SR) Acquired.]
[Rank 8 Blazing Crown Furnace (UR) Acquired.]
[500x500 Meters Array Paper (R) Acquired.]
[Random Elemental Orb (SR) Acquired.]
[Gacha Card x1 (R) Acquired.]
[Blood Axe x1 (R) Acquired.]
[Violet Blue Ganoderma (UR) Acquired.]
Alex was pretty happy with the blood even though he could have as much as he wanted. This would only give him more blood stock for the array.
As for the Sun Cleaving Technique, it was a pretty nice skill if he could say. Unfortunately, it was still weaker than his Blade of Conquest if it was released on the ground. On the other hand, Alex had the new technique, Mythical Fire Slash, if he wished for a Sword Wave that was able to fly.
He ended up tossing the technique inside his Inventory in disappointment. But it changed after he got the next item, which was a rank 8 Furnace. As the system said, the Gacha would guarantee a UR item after using it five times. He thought that the UR he got in the second draw didn't reset the count, making him feel relieved.
He gratefully accepted this rank 8 Alchemist Furnace as it was useful if he wanted to make money. The furnace itself looked like a crown, perfectly reflecting its name. It had golden color with a few colored gems as the decoration. The fire was enveloping the red gem on the lid as it would burst out at any moment.
Alex activated his Spirit Eyes and found out that the gem would really spit fire from there. The furnace would also burn them from the top to boost the refining speed from what he could see.
After checking the furnace, he went to the next item, which was Array Paper. As usual, he welcomed every material that came to his way, since there was no telling where he would need them.
Just like the next item, Random Elemental Orb, Alex gratefully accepted it and even thought about using it on the Devastator he just got. He hoped to get a lightning enhancement to boost Rose's power, but he didn't have any spare rank 7 bow, so he put it aside for the time being.
The eighth Gacha was also another Gacha. Alex lifted up his eyebrows as he found it weird, especially in this type of Gacha. Alex shook that thought off as the normal Gacha also gave Summoning Coins, so there was no different.
The ninth Gacha was the lowest one in his opinion. No one actually used an Axe, so he just threw it aside and moved onto the last item.
The name of Violet Blue Ganoderma rang a bell inside his mind. This medicinal herb was one of the ingredients for a rank 8 pill that could raise one's talent. It was something that everyone wanted to possess, of course, except for him and Letizia. Pure Element already attained the highest level of talent since birth.
If they managed to transform their Pure Fire even further like Alex's Undying Fire Body, a technique that could refine a Pure Fire user's body, and The Fire God's Fire. Naturally, it was hard to find something like this. If Alex didn't have the system, he wouldn't get Undying Fire Body while if he didn't end up in that world and met that Fire God, his Pure Fire would only be a normal awakened Pure Fire.
Alex put this in his Inventory and thought about making such a pill much, much later since it was a rank 8 pill. He thought this pill alone was worth a fortune, and it might become the very top item in an auction.
"Congratulations on getting three UR items." Lin Xingzhi smiled.
After opening all crystals, it was time to part again with Lin Xingzhi. He looked at her with a gentle smile. "I… need to go back. Although I always enjoyed the little time I had here, I still have many things to do."
"Don't worry about me. I will always be with you here. Besides, You have been talking with me from time to time." She waved her hands, and the white door appeared behind her. "I will always be here… and in the future, you might find the real me. I'm really looking forward to that."
"I promise." Alex smiled and nodded before starting to walk past the door. "See you later."
Lin Xingzhi kept watching the door that had disappeared with a happy smile. "You have many things to do because you want to keep stronger to protect your family. It was the same as the previous you. Carrying all the burden in your shoulder and protecting every single of us, how many worlds had you destroyed for that?
"But that uniqueness of yours also pulled many people in. You gathered us who loved you, friends that you could trust your back, a full family that would follow you without hesitation even if it meant death, disciples that idolized you, and followers that were in awe with your light.
"Although it was slightly different, like Putri and Evelyn, the reason was still the same. You considered them as your friend and family. Hence, you could give it all to protect them. You had been acting like you didn't care about Song Yu, but deep inside your heart, you wanted to kill those people from the Blackwade Clan."
She closed her eyes for a moment as she didn't know why she said something like this. "I might be too happy for his advancement since he had reached Absolute Blade Saint, only a single step more to be an Absolute Blade God. I will be waiting for you in Eulja, Alex."
