628 Gacha Palace Part 1

Alex stared at these three missions for a while, standing still as if nothing in the world could bother him.

"System, what is this Gacha Crystal?" Alex asked, starting from the first reward.

[How about coming to the Gacha Palace? I will answer everything there.]

Alex hesitated for a second but saw the second and third rewards. He thought it must be easier for the system to explain all of these inside the Gacha Palace. Having no objection to her request, he opened the gate that led to the Gacha Palace and entered it. 

"Nelson. I will be going for a while." Alex left a message before closing the gate.

"Yes."

As soon as he answered, the gate vanished into thin air.

Meanwhile, Alex walked forward while looking at all the Gacha Machines and found another machine on the corner. The machine itself was a box with a sphere on top of it. Inside the sphere were hexagonal prisms with a length of one meter. 

Alex squinted his eyes and found a ball inside these prisms. He was shocked by its size as it was only slightly smaller than a soccer ball. The box below the sphere had a hole that had the exact size as the prisms. 

"Welcome to Gacha Palace." A woman's voice was heard from the opposite direction. 

He turned around and looked at Lin Xingzhi with her usual system girl appearance. "Is that the new Gacha?"

"Yes. You have read the name earlier. It's called Gacha Crystals." Lin Xingzhi nodded with a smile before walking forward. "Please follow me."

Without questioning her, he walked right behind her. There was no word uttered until they arrived in front of the machine.

"This is Gacha Crystals. It has many special functions that will make you drool." Lin Xingzhi grinned and pointed at the crystals inside the sphere. "The machine will shuffle the crystals inside and shoot one for you. The only way to break the crystal is with the Gacha Hammer."

Alex listened to her explanation but felt something was wrong. "But isn't this like the first Gacha?"

"I will explain about that area. First of all, it only can shoot out one crystal at a time." She paused for a moment and crossed her arms. "You might think it is similar since I can just make the machine shoot continuously, but it turns out we can't do that. As long as the crystal hasn't broken yet, you can't continue."

"My opinion still stands." Alex nodded.

"There is actually one small trick that makes this one very different. First of all, you can use many tickets in normal Gacha, and you will get your reward accordingly. In this Gacha, if you open a total of five crystals, the system will guarantee you a UR item." Lin Xingzhi smiled. 

"UR item?" Alex's eyes widened, and his mouth opened. "Are you serious?"

Alex was tempted by the offer and thought about it. However, he decided to shake his head as there was another thing that he needed to ask. "By the way, what is this final update thing?"

"It's literally the system final update." Lin Xingzhi shook her head in disappointment. "Every beginning will have its end one day, and Gacha System will have it when you reach the Martial Saint, though you have unlocked the achievement right now." 

"It's pretty useless to get it now." Alex rolled his eyes.

"Haha… Don't say it like that." Lin Xingzhi smiled mysteriously, confusing Alex. 

"What?"

"Everything beginning has an end, but it also means the new beginning. Just like the mission title 'Master of Gacha,' you have really become its master at this point. You should spread the joy of Gacha to the whole world with this, and it is entirely up to you." 

"…" Alex fell into silence as he somehow felt an underlying meaning behind her words. It took him a few minutes before he found out what it was. "You mean I can update the system myself?"

"You are only half right. You can't update the system as it has the last update already. However, you can add any Gacha you want and use it for other people." Lin Xingzhi grinned, thinking of many bad plans he could use. "For example, you can reward Rose with this Gacha like how you are teaching her right now."

Alex widened his eyes. "It's true that I have taught Rose that not everything will come like what she wants to… Ah, you are telling me that she might not get the reward in front of her eyes, and she shouldn't be greedy about it."

"Yeah."

"I see." Alex nodded a few times. If Rose went to search for an inheritance to increase her strength, the inheritance might not suit her. He had been teaching her not to give up and search for a new one. Seeing Rose's performances this whole time, Alex might create a new Gacha to reward her for her effort. To that case, he still needed another thing. "I want to ask you something…"

"Sure."

"If I invite Rose to the Spirit Nest, she could see the system as well, right?" 

"Yes."

"Then, can I give her a set of missions?"

"I believe so after the last update."

Alex blinked his eyes a few times before smiling widely.

"What are you thinking?"

"I want to make a set of missions for Rose. In those missions, she could get dice. And then, I will build a board ranging from number one to fifty. Each number will have different rewards depending on her level."

"Ah… I see. She will get a reward according to her luck, and the moment she comes back to the first tile, the reward will reset." Lin Xingzhi nodded, thinking it was an interesting concept. "I can make one for you. After you reach Martial Saint and unlock this function, you can invite her to the Spirit Nest and do this."

"Thank you." Alex smiled.

"For your information, you can reward a stranger with this system without letting them inside Spirit Nest, you know."

"What do you mean?"

"Like you can make a set of Gacha that can be used for other people. So when you call them into the real world, you can let them use it once and get their reward based on luck and karma." She crossed her arms and said with a pacifying tone. "You have helped me, so come and receive your reward. "…" Alex was speechless.

"Besides, you can develop more and more to relieve your boredom since I myself find it quite funny."

Alex shrugged. "Well, I don't know exactly how I will feel about that. I have reached the Martial Monarch Stage before thirty years old and might reach Martial God before forty… I don't feel like one since I'm this young." Alex furrowed his eyebrows. 

"You will get used to it." Lin Xingzhi shrugged her shoulder, fully knowing about the vision of his previous world.

"Right…" Alex sighed. "I have one more question."

"Tell me."

"I have gotten the inheritance from the Golden Lightning Tribulation. However, I feel like the challenge wasn't equal to the reward." Alex frowned.

"I feel the same." She looked down as if she was weighing something. "If we take a look at your first and second Golden Lightning Tribulation where you received Sword and Spear Intent. I think it is normal to be classified as the first two. Not only it has a tremendous use for you in the beginning, but it is also a skill that you need to nurture."

"Indeed. If I receive such a thing today… I might not be able to acquire this Absolute Blade Path and become a Blade Saint." Alex nodded in agreement.

"Exactly… Then the Alchemist, Array Master, and Forging Master knowledge come to you followed by Element Arts and Martial Arts." Lin Xingzhi thought for a moment before realizing something off. "There is actually something different in your Martial Emperor Lightning Tribulation. Do you remember that it was insanely strong as well? Not to the point of this one though."

"I certainly remember it." Alex nodded. It was one of the scary experiences he had, and he could absolutely say it surpassed his expectation. However, it still didn't manage to go beyond his imagination. Yet, the lightning tribulation this time had gone beyond his imagination to the point he didn't know how to encounter it. If he didn't have any information about Blade Saint Stage, he would likely fail.

Lin Xingzhi replied, "I speculated you have a stronger Lightning Tribulation there because no one actually has their Lightning Tribulation… No, I should say that Lightning Tribulation is not a thing in their vocabulary. The energy will slowly accumulate little by little as Lightning Tribulation is one of the ways to deplete a world's energy.

"Take a look at their world. They might have a limit of 7-Star Martial Emperor, but can you see that they are blessed with magical herbs? I know that you are thinking it might because they never harvest those herbs, but the amount itself is quite abnormal."

"So, you are saying the Lightning Tribulation have gotten power up from the excess energy?" Alex asked. 

"Yes."

"But it doesn't explain what happened here." Alex shook his head. "I know this place is different than the normal one, but it is only a Special Realm that is connected to the outside world. Even the arrays are inside the Blue Colored Realm, it still doesn't explain."

"This…" Lin Xingzhi hadn't gone through every knowledge in his mind, so she was a bit clueless. "Maybe we can find it later?"

"Yeah. Maybe in my Martial Saint Lightning Tribulation, the answer to this will be clear. If it's truly because of this Special Realm, then I might as well not create a special realm at all… I would already reach God Stage anyway."

"Fair enough." She nodded. If Alex left this place, no one could take advantage of this Golden Lightning information. Even if they were forced to go outside this world, it would be too late because Alex might have broken through several times. "Alright. Since you decided it that way, how about we open the Gacha now?"

"Sure." Alex nodded. "I will use the new Gacha this time."
