A few hours after Alex and Letizia returned, the war finally stopped.
Nelson returned with Space Rings, where Alex split according to their agreement. Luckily, the thing that Alex or Song Hun feared didn't happen.
They wrapped this war with one last meeting between Alex and Licht.
"What are you going to do right now?"
"We are thinking about making our own sect around the former Fire God Clan's territory."
"Ho?" Alex narrowed his eyes and asked. "Aren't you a greedy one?"
"I am aware, but this place is important to us. Although it's dangerous, it is still near the center of the continent. We can go anywhere we want without much problem."
Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "Whatever. I don't really care where you are standing as long as you are not my enemies. I am tired of fighting in this world, so I want to cultivate peacefully until I reach God Rank, but…"
Licht nodded with a grim expression. "We understand. We have agreed not to do anything for the time being. And since we need to rebuild the sect from zero, it will take a long time."
Alex looked at his expression for a minute and walked away. "Then, it's time for me to return to my own home. And with this, you are you. Whatever you do won't be related to me."
This was the way Alex ended their deal. He indirectly told Licht that he wouldn't help him even if they got into trouble with the Blackwade Clan and the Drunken Pavilion or even those who didn't participate in this war, the Phantasm Sect and the Divine Kingdom. And there would be a little chance for him to interfere in that matter in the future.
Licht also knew that they didn't have that deep relationship with Alex and wondered whether there was a gap they could exploit to make a relationship.
As long as Alex stayed in this world, it would be troublesome if they created a mess with another influence. Because the moment Alex joined the fight, they would seriously be destroyed. And the fact he also knew about their place under the sea… It would be troublesome.
That was why the council agreed to remain low and build their sect as long as Alex remained in the world.
In the end, Alex left and talked with the other two leaders.
"Everything is done. They are giving us a free ride to our respective influence after this. What are you going to do now?" Song Hun smiled.
"I will also return to my own home. I have finished all the problems in this world, so I don't really want to get involved again unless it's necessary." Alex nodded.
"In any case, you are going to be famous after this." Manness smirked.
"Most of it will be infamy." Alex shook his head.
"Fair enough." Song Hun nodded before adding, "If you need any help, you can come to my Blackwade Clan."
Alex furrowed his eyebrows, knowing that Song Hun's intention. He just wanted to make sure that Alex fulfilled his end of the bargain. That was why Alex only nodded. "Yes."
Manness didn't give the same response. Instead, he seemed to want to sever his relationship with Alex… No, it must be his teacher. Knowing his personality, Manness must have been living under the shadow of Maxwell and want to be free for it. Even though they were friends, it was already over a few thousand years since they last met. It was normal for this so-called friend to have another thought in his mind, along with the pride.
Alex closed his eyes and didn't say anything to him. He had his own life, and the relationship between them only came from Maxwell. If his teacher wanted to do something about this, he would. Unfortunately, he seemed to have known about this and chose not to do anything.
In other words, even if they met next time, it would be a meeting between strangers.
Alex slightly bowed his head and said, "I thank you for helping me in this matter. I will surely remember this for the rest of my life."
Song Hun understood the meaning behind his second sentence since it was directed to him. As for Manness, he thought of it as nothing.
"Anyway, I think it's time to return."
"Indeed. My son and daughter must be nagging me right now, wondering what kind of battle we had." Song Hun laughed, patted Alex's shoulders a few times, and flew away.
"Boy…" Manness, on the other hand, finally opened his mouth with a solemn expression. "Don't run your mouth about that line. If I know about it, I will kill you no matter what."
"I know. I am not the type who blabbers such a thing. Even I realized from the way my Master said it, he probably knew it was for a one-time thing."
Manness looked at him for a few seconds before leaving as well.
Alex then finally returned to his group and used his Teleportation Array to return to their home.
They arrived at the meeting room, and somehow the situation wasn't really as expected. The atmosphere became a bit gloomy as most of them were afraid that Alex had thought of this. Only Anya had a relaxed expression.
Noticing this situation, Alex smiled. "Why are you all being so gloomy? I am fine. Besides, there are a few things I want to announce after this."
Even though he said all of this, the group still had an awkward expression on their faces, so Alex decided to change the topic to lift up the mood. "Rose… How are you? What do you think about the fight earlier? Are you sure you want to follow me still after knowing this will happen again in the future?"
Rose's body shook. Although she had killed many people, it was the first time where she witnessed two influences were massacred. She didn't know why, but her feet went limp in the middle of battle.
Luckily, Anya calmed her down and said a few things to her. To that end, Rose realized what kind of burden that Alex carried. And to think he had been doing this while protecting her just for her to have an easy life, Rose was filled with happiness and guilt at the same time.
He was happy that the only Master in her life cared about her. However, she hated herself for not realizing it until now.
After hearing Alex's question, she suddenly rose from her seat and looked at Alex with a serious expression. "I… I don't know… On one hand, I thought that Master was a bit excessive since you decided to kill all those people. On the other hand, I realized that Master did it because there was something in your mind… No, I should say experience. I… I…"
Alex suddenly appeared in front of her and hugged her, stroking her hair gently. "It's fine, Rose. It can be an excuse or just a justifying reason, but I indeed felt the same betrayal that almost cost me my wife. Albeit, I indeed feel it's a bit excessive."
When Alex said that, Firia suddenly had a melancholy, thinking about Alicia.
Alex paused for a moment and continued. "Do I feel remorse? Yes. Do I regret my action? It's a no. If you think your action is right, then don't hesitate and do it. If anything happens in the future, Master will take care of it for you."
Rose closed her eyes, hugged Alex, and somehow cried like a child. "Master…"
She remembered the person that wanted to r*pe her in the past. Although she had killed him due to the hatred, when everything had been resolved, she felt empty. Despite having her revenge, it couldn't bring back her parents.
Alex became the pillar in his heart, acting like a Master, a big brother, and a father in her life. Revenge might give you satisfaction for one time, but it couldn't solve everything.
And if they actually brought more people to subdue her to the point she needed to kill their whole family, would she be able to do it? The answer would be no. Yet, when she now thought that their enemy would poke her master, and new family, the Spirit Nest, she felt remorse.
Alex wanted to teach this to Rose indirectly. One could do bad things, but they should stick to the principle. Alex killed people because they were his enemies that would endanger his family. But Alex never killed people just because of some petty things. In his life, Alex also never stole a single thing, whether it was a normal encounter or an auction.
Rose realized that the moment when there was once, there would be second and third. Hence, Rose figured out what kind of principle she had been holding until now and would stick to it.
This time, there seemed to be a weight in her heart that got lifted up. The fuzzy and mixed feelings gradually disappeared from her heart as she slowly released her hand. Looking up to see her Master's face, Rose slowly opened her mouth.
"Master… I am glad that I met you back then."
Alex smiled and patted her head. "You silly kid, you have told it to me once."
"Hehe… Even if you want me to say it a hundred times, I doubt I will tell you a different line." Rose smiled from ear to ear.
Alex wiped the tears on the corner of her eyes with a smile. He then gradually stepped back and returned to his seat.
Rose turned to everyone and bowed her head. "I am sorry."
"Haha… This is our Rose!" Leoz laughed out loud. Since they had the same elements, Leoz had been training her from time to time, so he was like a mentor to her. When he saw Rose finally smiled again, he finally felt relief.
"That's right. Rather than this gloomy atmosphere, how about we have a party." Anna nodded before taking out many food and wines from the Inventory.
"I'm in." Leoz nodded and grabbed the wine.
"Before that, I am going to announce another thing. Letizia is going to the Willow Continent to visit her home, so I am planning to bring her there." Alex announced.
"Master… Don't we have that stone?" Leoz tilted his head in confusion. He thought Alex was planning to teleport her to the Willow Continent himself, so he thought it would be a waste of time.
"Well, I am planning to visit there as well." Alex glanced at his girls and said, "I also want to enjoy myself first since my heart is not ready for cultivation right now. That's why I want to ask Anna, Anya, Firia and Sherry… Do you want to accompany me to tour around the world?"
"!!!" The women, except Anya, were surprised. They never expected Alex to ask them this. As for whether they wanted it or not, of course, they wanted it.
"I'm in." Anya was the first since she already knew this plan.
"I'm too!"
"I will go!"
"Yay, a trip with Master."
Alex nodded with a smile.
On the other hand, Letizia had a mixed feeling inside. Since Alex also planned to come to Rainbow Flower Sect to meet her mother, she was wondering whether she should go first as to clear up the misunderstanding before it happened or just follow Alex.
She didn't dare to be recognized as Alex's wife even if it was a misunderstanding because she had been learning her master's personality. Alex seemed to have a strong principle about his love life, so she didn't want to displease him when everyone thought about that.
Alex, on the other hand, never thought about that thing. He simply wanted to meet her mother because he felt responsible for everything that happened to her life, especially with the Snow White Mountain.
On that day, Letizia didn't have the heart to cultivate since she was worried about this misunderstanding.
After telling about the plan, Alex then raised a bottle of wine and said with a smile. "Now… Let's party and have this gloomy thing go away! Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
