865 Killing the Elder

The surrounding temperature dropped almost instantly the moment that pair of ice blue crystal wings appeared. Alex furrowed his eyebrows, noticing the fact that this was something different than what Vera had. After all, Vera couldn't do something like this.

It was obviously something that he would ask after this battle.

Alicia glanced at the devil with her glowing eyes that seemed to release a portion of the cold here.

"First Divine Ice Form, Frozen World."

She raised her hand as the air above it turned into an ice crystal. Suddenly, the ice itself released a powerful shock wave, carrying the extreme cold.

Everything ran by this shock wave started turning into ice, startling all the devils.

Alex nodded as he could finally understand why Alicia released such an overbearing pressure. He wanted to know about the other rulers as well, but he realized that the elder seemed to have lost his patience.

A sword slowly formed in the air, freezing anything around it.

The elder raised his vision and waved his sword upward, releasing a green Sword Wave.

Alicia squinted her eyes and finally slashed the sword down. A shock wave shook the city again before each attack influenced each other.

The poison inside the Sword Wave came inside the sword, trying to melt it. At the same time, the sword tried to freeze the Sword Wave as a part of it had been frozen.

It continued for a few more seconds before each of them destroyed each other.

"Ho?!" Alicia raised her eyebrows, never expecting to have this kind of effect, but the elder suddenly bowed and spat blood.

It came out of nowhere, making people think it was due to him overexerting his power. Yet the miscalculation disappeared the moment the elder glanced at the side, finding his snake died in Kai's hand.

"Impossible. The record said this poison snake couldn't be extinguished." The elder gritted his teeth, not wanting to believe it.

"It's simple. Your poison is nothing in front of my fire." Alex came to Alicia's side with a poker face.

"You…" The elder had never been mad like this to the point he was the first one to charge in rage. Seeing this, Alex played along with him.

The two clashed again for several minutes while Alicia was creating an array on the ground.

"One Inch Spear." Alex used his technique again, pinning the elder to the ground to create a massive opportunity for Alicia.

Alicia obviously noticed this and appeared on the ground, placing her hand on the frozen ground.

"Soul Binding Array!" Alicia activated the array she made during this fight, creating so many chains from the array. It flew toward the elder and chased him.

The elder narrowed his eyes and flew around while avoiding the chain, but Alex kept making it hard until one point the chains finally caught him.

With a single feel, he was convinced that the chains were restricting his soul instead of his body, so the only way to break free was to channel his Divine Energy to the soul and blasted them.

"Ha!" He shouted as the chains got destroyed by something invisible, but he noticed another incoming attack from Alicia and got shocked by the insane amount of power behind it. "What the heck is that?"

"Too late." Alicia harrumphed and used her technique, not letting the elder escape. "Fourth Divine Ice Form, Queen's Palm."

Suddenly, the snow disappeared as if they were never there to begin with. However, Alex managed to see the flow of energy and found out that the snow coming from Alicia's energy was sucked into her hand. Even Alex was surprised by how much energy she concentrated on that palm.

Alicia didn't care about it and released all the energy into a single giant blue hand, flying toward the elder.

"This…" The elder's heart skipped a beat. He could sense how powerful it was, and took a deep breath, calming his heart down. "Although I haven't reached the Sword God Stage yet, I am not far from it. I will wrest everything in this attack and let you see everything that I have accumulated during my journey."

A green aura leaked out of his hand, covering the blade. He slashed forward with all his strength and released a gas like sword attack that covered the palm before moving to its back.

Nonetheless, the attack was still not powered by a Divine Intent, so Alicia's attack began to freeze all the gas as it dropped to the ground in the form of droplets.

The ice also took a lot of damage as it was melting all over, so the devil released the same attack that destroyed Alicia's ice sword.

"Green Devil Blade."

The Sword Wave split the palm into two before heading toward Alicia. It was at this moment that he realized something was missing, no, someone was missing.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, Alex's attack was far too strong, much less without his other arm that had been taken away by this same attack.

The conclusion came in a sudden when the elder's sword suddenly snapped.

"No!" The elder roared as the Sword Wave exploded instead of cutting him into two. The Spiritual Energy immediately swept the smoke produced by the explosion, revealing how the elder was still intact and alive.

When Alex was about to attack him again, he realized that the energy was already too weak, and the elder's consciousness should have been blurry.

The body slowly fell to the ground, hitting the ground with his back.

Alicia appeared before Alex, looking at how the elder fell.
