After she failed to track down her sister, the ponytailed girl simply returned to the mansion and continued to torment her family until she got bored with it.
She used her control over the spirits to force them to do whatever she wanted, but as always, due to her hatred towards them having been erased, she started to lose the joy of extending their torment.
She wondered if any emotion would be felt if she simply asked them to start killing each other, but even her father's death caused no reaction at all, so she simply gave up that idea.
The girl decided to just leave the house altogether and try to embark on her quest as a weapon of the gods.
Mia then continued to live the rest of her life as a champion of the north after the day. Traveling the world, searching for demons to slay, fulfilling her duty of trying to make her benefactor the next supreme deity.
The first demon Mia encountered opposed no challenge to her.
It was a horrendous beast that looked like a snake with five heads with the ability to vomit acid, creating several holes on the ground every time it bore its fangs.
Mia looked at the beast assuming she would be terrified by its appearance. But she felt no fear, she was not alarmed, she had absolutely no worries.
The demon spotted Mia and started to yell "Human food!!!" as it pounced towards her. Thanks to Mia's body being boosted by cursed energy and blessed energy, she easily managed to dodge the attack by leaping to the side.
Before the snake could react, Mia grabbed the reptile by the tip of its tail and smashed it against a tree, killing it in the process.
"Huh... Was that it...?" she mumbled, surprised at how easy it was to kill a demon with her bare hands.
She touched the corner of her lips and realized that she was smiling a bit. She actually managed to get a little bit of joy out of that encounter.
"I need more..." she muttered, wondering if facing more demons could bring her full smile back to her.
And so she started going on a rampage, trying to face as many demons as she could, all in order to get her smile back. And just as she wished so, she soon had returned to the bright and cheerful child that she used to be.
Mia discovered a new form of entertainment from the act of eviscerating demons. Not because she enjoyed the act of killing them, but because she loved the thrill of being face-to-face with danger and overcoming it.
Every time she faced a new opponent she would think to herself 'Is this the one that might kill me?' and couldn't wait to start the fight a find out.
Her battles tended to be rather bloody due to how she would always engage the beasts with no weapons, and would end up full of wounds on her whole body.
She would get punched, smacked, stabbed, bitten, but nothing ever affected her since she couldn't feel any pain. Her body was basically a killing machine that could not be stopped.
Even if she ever found herself having trouble getting cursed energy, she would just walk in the middle of a city and kill a random person to trigger either the fear of the hate of those around her. Acquiring negative emotions was never a problem for her.
And so she continued her mission. Fighting demons, chasing after stronger opponents, causing agony among the people, all with a big smile stamped on her face as she could not feel any guilt or remorse from any of her sins.
But then, something changed.
Mia's smile was slowly starting to vanish. Her battles were no longer giving her any kind of joy as she realized that nothing could defeat her. She started trying to give handicaps to her opponents. Things like fighting with her hands tied behind her back, having her eyes closed, waiting ten seconds before trying to move. But she still couldn't lose.
But as time went on, the battle continued to become easier and easier. Mia was getting good at fighting, too good in fact. The movement of her opponents was starting to become slow in her eyes. She had faced so many different challenges that she was getting used to fighting anything at any time.
Years started to pass, then years became decades, and decades became centuries.
Mia would often try to spot her reflection on puddles or rivers to see if she still remembered how to smile. But as she noticed that her smile was starting to vanish for good, she realized she wasn't living anymore, she was just alive.
The immortal child asked North if there were more powerful challenges for her to take, to which he suggested for her to try and take on East's champion, the living weapon know as Marceus.
Mia got excited. She had heard many things about the living weapon and was looking forward to trading blows with him. But when she finally reached the champion, all she saw was a frail kid looking like he was about to cry.
One glance at the boy was all it took for her to realize he too was no challenge for her. Instead, she decided to just hang out with the kid for a while, enjoying her time teasing him with things like calling him "Darling" and asking if he wanted to marry her. They were harmless pranks but still managed to make her laugh a little.
Then, things started to show more promise in Mia's future.
She ended up meeting with her long lost sister after two-hundred-years apart, found out that she and her friends were on a quest to kill the goddess Marcus was fighting for, and even traced a journey towards a city filled with demons, and not only that, the demon leader himself.
Mia was slowly recovering her ability to feel joy. She had so many things to look forward to now, so many new opponents, so many new dangers.
When she finally reached the city, she had more fun than she ever had in years. Her sister faced her with her own blessing, she jumped into pools after pools of several monsters and demons much stronger than any she ever faced before, and to top it all of, she found out about a new opponent that could giver her the challenge she wanted.
A girl that managed to reach the power of terminal energy and used it to defeat the demon leader and the goddess of the east as if they were a couple of toddlers.
She was so happy with this news that she didn't even mind the fact that Marcus had left her, she just wanted to hurry and fight her next.
But when she returned to the demon kingdom to look for the girl after being throw into the sky by her sister's boyfriend, all that Mia saw was her opponent giving up all her power and going home.
She gazed at Evlin jumping into a portal to another world and vanishing right before her eyes after saying goodbye to all her friends.
Mia was filled with a new sentiment. Her best bet at a challenge was gone forever and she was once again back at where she started. The demon leader was gone, Marcus was no longer by her side, and the one that caused all this, the mage known as Evlin, just decided to go home and forget about all this.
She wasn't feeling anger or sadness, but she also wasn't feeling joy either. She was just... empty.
Something inside of Mia began to change. She realized that she didn't want to fight Evlin to have fun again, she wanted to fight her so the mage girl could end her. The same way she was so happy when she heard about Marceus, or when she realized her sister also had a blessing.
What she was truly feeling was relief after finding out she could find someone that could end her prison of hollowness.
At that day, Mia decided to take on a new quest. She would get Evlin to face her and end her, no matter what it cost.
But to do that, she needed a way to travel to her world, and to do that she would need to absorb a being with the power to do so, a god.
And in order to fight a god, Mia started to gather more power. She started to absorb the souls of every demon she slew in order to prepare herself for her fight. She even ended up picking up a half-dead dryad that had somehow survived the battle of the southern kingdom.
For some reason, this dryad was different from the other demons and Mia didn't just pick up her power, but also her memories and abilities, allowing her to change her body as if she herself was a plant demon girl.
She also began to hear the voice of the dryad inside her head, talking to her and showing that she was completely on board with going after Evlin and even had a few ideas on how to make the experience more fun.
But before that, they needed to face North.
A side of Mia was wondering if she could actually lose against him, and was honestly hoping for it a little. But, as she faced the god with the strength of several demons inside of her, even he was soon easily dealt with.
When the fight was over, North just stared at her and smiled, "Marvelous!!"
Mia on the other hand just seemed annoyed and proceeded to absorb his soul as well after killing him, and just like the dryad, she not only got his soul, but also his powers.
Using her new godly ability, she opened a portal to Evlin's world and chase after her. The only problem was, she had no idea where Evlin was and ended up teleporting herself to the middle of Africa.
She was found by an extremely rich man who was impressed with her ability to kill wild animals with her bare hands and decided to adopt her as his child.
The rich man's daughter then spent the next couple of years studying about the world and learning ways to take advantage of it with things like the internet.
She eventually killed the man and took over all of his fortune after finally figuring out where Evlin was living, and after that, she decided to spend her next remaining months observing her.
She knew Evlin no longer had the power she once was known for, so Mia needed to put her in fighting shape again before starting their battle.
Thus, she began her preparations by gathering demons, monsters, spirits, absorbing crystals, and using her dryad powers to create pieces of channeling tree. All in order to set up the stage for her big fight.
But when the confrontation finally arrived, Evlin was still showing indecision despite how much Mia had pushed her over the edge.
Mia realized that this too was going to be another opponent who could not defeat her, and decided to just get this over with by using the method she had designed just for Evlin.
She was going to steal her body using her curse.
