Chapter 3:CHAPTER 1

His Lips

I woke up to the sound of waves and seagulls. I rubbed my eyes thoroughly, thinking I was still asleep and dreaming.

I was in a ship cabin. A very nicely decorated cabin. I was lying on a comfortable bed and my clothes were rumpled from sleep.

My eyes widened in panic as I tried to remember how I ended up on a ship.

"Finally, you are awake. I was thinking I would have to kiss you to wake you up. You know like true love kiss and all that girly nonsense."

I nearly lost my breath as startled as I was. It was him. Orland, he was wearing a black dressing shirt and grey jeans with his brown hair falling on his forehead making him look almost boyish.

His eyes softened as he saw my terror and he made a soothing sound.

"Don't worry I won't harm you. My feud is with your father not with

you."

"That doesn't make this whole situation any better." I spat, my fury apparent in my voice.

I didn't give myself time to think as I made a mad dash for the keys but he was too fast as he turned around and captured my hands in a firm hold and backed me against the wall, his eyes smoldering with rage.

I wanted to scream at him and do some permanent harm to him but I couldn't take my mind from the fact that he was pressed against me.

My whole body could feel the heat radiating through him and I was ashamed of myself because I wanted to lean in and soak in his warmth.

He was looking at me with such an intense look that I shivered, he smirked guessing the cause of my unease.

He had a very handsome face with sharp angular feautures and beautiful lips.

I had the strangest urge to kiss him, I wanted to feel how his lips would feel pressed against mine.

He leaned closer, our lips almost touching and whispered.

"You are staring, sweetheart." My heart stopped beating at the feel of his lips moving against mine as he kissed me.

His kiss was searing and passionate, stealing the breath right of my body. I lost all the thoughts in my head as I started kissing him back.

His hands were still clutching mine behind my back and so the connection between our bodies was all the more intimate.

He trailed his lips down my neck making me shudder. He was driving me mad and he knew it too, it was apparent in his wicked grin as he pulled back leaving me staring at him like an idiot.

"It's enough for today, love. I won't be able to stop myself if we went further than kissing." He started to turn but stopped as I spoke.

"It will not happen again. There will not be next time. Orland."

He just stared at me with those striking eyes and started to leave but not before commenting.

"Let's see. Darling, let's see."

With that little moment he left the cabin softly closing the door after him with a click of the lock snapping into place.

I slumped on the bed too much in shock to do anything else. There was anger in my mind and there was this strange feeling.

A strange fluttering inside my stomach whenever I thought about that arrogant beast and his...his kiss. I touched my fingers to my lips and groaned.
