Alex smiled when he saw the wolf's clear disadvantage in the battle. "Sure, you're big and powerful but You're a bit too big for this room. Moving around is something that you can't properly… I guess I can win this if I properly plan my attacks." Alex jumped towards the wolf to cut its leg. However, Alex quickly jumped to the left when he saw the Wolf's paw flying towards his body. Alex jumped out of the way just in time as he was only a centimeter from being hit by the wolf.
Alex felt the wind from that huge attack. Cold sweat ran down his back he gulped his saliva from just barely dodging that attack. He looked at the ceiling and smiled, "I might have gotten a bit cocky when I saw his weakness… I need to re-group and re think my approach to this…" He decided to stay at the corner of the room as it would be more difficult for the wolf to get him that way. 'It's like a two-way risk… If he gets too close, I'm dead but if I get away before he can get close enough, I am safe.' Alex had other reasons for cornering himself as well. He waited and planned his approach as the wolf slowly approached him.
The wolf was finally in close proximity to Alex, close enough to attack him. Alex smiled and jumped on the wall and threw his dagger towards the wolf's eyes. The wolf howled in pain as it could no longer see from one eye. Its line of sight was reduced and it could no longer look at its left without turning its head. Alex used that as an advantage and ran around the wolf's left. He formed a fist and punched the wolf at its stomach with the leeching attack. 'It almost feels shameful to use this attack… It doesn't use up my mana. I only get tired when using it but that's something that I can recover from quickly…' Alex smiled as his punch landed straight.
The wolf was slightly pushed back but the attack didn't seem to have that much of an effect on it. Alex shook his head and jumped back to behind the wolf where it was safer. But to Alex's surprise, the wolf turned around extremely quickly to bite him. Alex had a huge cut on his hand from the bite but he couldn't heal properly. The wolf was rushed towards him, destroying the ceiling of the room. Alex however, didn't worry when he saw the wolf rushing towards him. He smiled as he ran away from the wolf, 'That's it!' Alex looked at the blood on the floor as he ran. The blood was from the wolf's back. Running around the room without even caring about its own back, the wolf has many huge cuts that were consistently bleeding.
Alex wanted the cuts to be bigger so he kept on running. The wolf, which was now calm stopped chasing after Alex and continued its approach slowly. Its burst of rage had ended and it was weaker due to loss of blood. Alex wanted to rush in again and kill the wolf but he knew that it would be a stupid mistake If done incorrectly. He instead jumped to the wolf's left once again. But before the wolf could turn and strike him down, Alex jumped into the air in such a way that as soon as the wolf would turn, he would be directly in front of the wolf. He smiled and pulled out his dagger. Blood spurted out and covered Alex, almost blinding him. The wolf, in pain, struck Alex, who couldn't see the incoming attack.
Alex was once again thrown to the walls, almost diminishing his health completely. But he was far enough to be safe and heal himself. He used a potion and saved his mana to use Might. The wolf wasn't rushing this time so Alex could take a breather but he wanted to end this fight quickly as well, the longer it lasted the more chances that the wolf could have killing Alex. It was now or never, the wolf was injured and weakened. Alex had his weapon in his hands and an open wound on the wolf's back where he could instantly kill it if he accurately attacked.
Alex jumped towards the Wolf, he had activated might with the last of his mana, and roared. The wolf also howled as it jumped at Alex in full force. The next few moments would be the last of this battle. Alex jumped on the wolf's legs as it struck straight towards Alex. He then jumped on the wolf's head and ran towards its back. Alex was aiming for the lungs. 'If I can puncture the lungs, It will die! If I can puncture the lungs, It will die! If I can puncture the lungs, It will die!' Alex thought repeatedly as he punched as hard as he could towards the wolf's wounds. Alex couldn't take any extra time so he followed up by striking the dagger towards the open would with all the strength he could muster and jump away from the back. Alex fell to the ground as his legs shook. He couldn't move properly, his entire body was hurting.
Without knowing it, Alex was bleeding from his legs. The wolf was cut his legs just before Alex jumped on it but Alex was late to notice it at all. However, Alex bared the pain as he watched the wolf fall in pain. Slowly losing its breath. After some time, the wolf completely dropped dead. Alex smiled as he watched the wolf die, "Is it over?" He could never be sure. He wanted to believe that it was over but it might have also been a trick.
Alex's face broke when he saw a new shadow appear beside him. His eyes opened wide as a wolf jumped from the shadows and struck towards his head. Alex couldn't move at all, His body was stiff and his leg was bleeding. There wasn't enough time to heal. Alex tightened his body and braced for an attack but he never did get hit.
A hearty laugh echoed in the room, making Alex look around. He recognized the voice as the one who was talking to him ever since he entered the challenge.
