Chapter 128: He's Missing?!

Alex looked around, he recognized the voice but he was just shocked at everything that was happening. The wolf that was attacking him just disappeared into thin air before it could strike him. Alex gritted his teeth and used the remaining of his mana to heal himself. There wasn't enough mana to completely heal but Alex was able to close the major wounds so he wouldn't bleed out any more. He stood up and walked around the room, still confused by what happened.

'What was that? It was like he was purposely trying to scare me… Don't tell me that was the actual intention…' Alex thought when he looked at the dead wolf on the ground. He picked up his dagger and sat on the ground, That entire battle has taken everything out of him and Alex was close to death many times. "Lad, You've done well so far… I had some other plans but I think one more challenge for you will be enough… If you are able to complete this next challenge, You will win. And the reward is something that even the gods would fight over, Hades, The weapon made to kill the gods." The voice said in a deep tone.

Alex looked at his body and laughed, 'I'm pretty sure I'll lose at the state that I'm currently in right now… I need to heal up but I don't think this weird feeling of exhaustion that I have right now will go away even if I heal…' He said to himself. Alex then stood up and took a deep breath, 'I was already kind of confused by this weapon but now the explanations don't match up… The description said that it was made to kill the devils but this guy said that it is the weapon to kill the gods… What is this weapon exactly?' He thought to himself.

"Hmm, It seems like you don't know that much about what you're fighting for… You only know the base knowledge of this but that is for the good. A blessed should not always know everything, Knowledge is indeed a powerful thing but it can also be harmful to the retainer… I will answer some parts of your question… Hades was indeed made to initially kill the devils but where your knowledge lacks is that there is no difference between gods and devils… Take it as two sides of the same coin. They are the same but just different ideas and different ways to use their powers… Other than that, Gods and devils have no difference. Till now, You've seen nothing. There are more powerful beings in this universe that you should be concerned about. You're a long way from even seeing the gods or fighting the devils so focus on the tasks you have at hand. I know that I will see promising things from you if you pass this challenge… until then, rest and go with the flow of this world. Everything is planned at a pace, go too quick and you destroy yourself. Go too slow and you get lost. Go with the exact pace and you'll see how truly easy life can be." The voice filled Alex with wisdom.

Alex nodded as he heard the slow explanation. He looked at the ceiling and smiled, 'So, you can also hear my thoughts… I really wonder who you are.' The voice didn't reply for a while but after a few seconds, the room was filled with hearty laughter. "Lad, get more powerful and you will meet me. Until then, you'll only have to assume my identity." Alex nodded and laughed back. He felt some relief when he realized that the person wasn't someone with bad intentions. The person behind the voice was someone who cared about others as well and wasn't filled with an evil will.

The voice continued, "Again, You should rest… This final battle will be more difficult so resting is what is needed right now. Once I deem that you've had enough rest, I'll tell you." Alex once again felt as if he was falling into the earth. The temperature increased by a huge degree and the pressure on Alex's body was also very high. It felt like something was crushing Alex constantly. However, Alex didn't worry about it. "I felt slight pressure last floor as well but after that rest, It felt like my body got completely used to it. I think after some rest, I'll also be able to adapt to this pressure… The bigger worry here should be the temperature. Even being here for a few seconds has made me sweat an entire river." Alex looked at his body being drenched in sweat.

"Now, Sleep. You don't need food or water here but you do need sleep. Time works differently here than the outside world so if you lack sleep here, it might cause some huge complications if you get out. You also need to rest your mind. You might have felt as if you wouldn't be that energetic even if you were to completely heal yourself, right? That's because your mental state isn't calm. Your mind is even more exhausted than your body so let that part of your body rest properly so you can be at the peak." The voice said as the room around Alex started to transform. It created a small bed and a table with a candle on top. The walls were coated in red and were made of stone. Everything that Alex touched was extremely hot to touch. Alex walked over to the bed, every step he took made him feel more tired. By the time Alex reached the bed, He realized that he could pass out any second.

Ryan stood up from his seat and yelled, "What?!" It was morning time and Ryan was still in his office. "What do you mean Alex is missing?" He questioned in shock. Ryan didn't know how to react. "Send me the Camera feed from last night of the entire hotel. It doesn't make sense that someone can just disappear from their room and not be seen by any cameras…"
