Alex put his hands forwards to touch the silhouette and it did the same. 'How… What is this trail? It feels like a real person but I can't feel anything specific. It just feels like… I don't even know. It's so weird.' He thought to himself.
"Lad, This is the final challenge. You need to defeat your shadow to win this battle." The Old Man's voice echoed in the pitch-black room. Alex nodded and looked towards the black shadow. 'It follows everything that I do so how do I even defeat it?' Even before Alex tried to battle, His mind was filled with many questions. But after taking some time thinking, Alex looked forward at the shadow and threw a small quick punch.
"Aah!" Alex groaned as he was punched in the face by the shadow as well. Alex then tried to punch while dodging the shadow's attack but this time, his attack didn't land and the shadow's attack also didn't land. Alex jumped back and looked into the darkness in shock. 'What the hell do I do? The man called it my shadow so it means that it does every single thing that I do, It follows… How can someone even defeat his own shadow?' He tried to find ways to defeat the shadow but nothing seemed to be good enough to win.

Imani and Midnight went through the hotel room as the other two went through the security feed in detail. It was an absolute shock how someone could just disappear into thin air like that. This mystery seemed to something that was almost impossible to solve until they found the missing man. But No matter where they looked, they found nothing.
Imani looked at her phone and took a deep breath, "It says that Alex's phone's last know location was here itself. Everything matches up, longitude and latitude… Then his signal just disappeared the next moment. It's like he literally teleported somewhere…" She was baffled.
Midnight nodded and spoke, "It is weird but there might be explainable ways for that to happen. Someone with an invisibility type ability or speed ability reached his room, knocked Alex out, took him away while destroying the phone so that the last tracked area was in the hotel itself. Then they took Alex away via the same secret route they took and went away. The potential shown by Alex was immense and the Bureau was trying to keep his existence under wraps and treated him as some other member of society. He doesn't even technically exist when looking at the database. It makes sense because he was an immigrant but they seemed to be even more careful for that news to not come out. The last immigrant incident that happened in another country was probably the reason… They announced it on the news and people went crazy. His potential was also amazing and he was a soon to be S rank awakened but later on, he was found dead. The culprits still now found. The association here also wants to prevent this. Other nations keep us in check so that we don't get more powerful. We do the same with them. Sometimes, they use cheap tricks like hiring the awakened for an impossible job, or just taking the awakened away from us by showing money."
"To prevent all that from happening from not acknowledging Alex's existence on the files. Creating a special card for him so he can act like any old member of society, yet something still happens to make him disappear… I think It's either an inside job from someone who knows about Alex or we have a spy among the awakeneds. Everyone who was in the meeting that day is a suspect. I think Ryan already knows that so he must be watching them as well…" Midnight said slowly. She was super serious about this mission.
Imani nodded when she heard midnight's words. The two B ranked awakened also smiled when they heard Midnight. One of them spoke, "It's only a small number who know his existence… And they were the top B ranked awakens, and above. The Security guards just assumed that Alex was a promising Awakened under Hana as that was the ruse that The bureau seems to be using. So It must a hundred percent, an insider who provided information." They analyzed the situation.
Imani looked at the man and smiled, "Jacob, You're pretty smart, aren't you? Must be nice being under Vis. Learning about information gathering from the master of stealth is something that anyone could be jealous of."
The man smiled, "Please, You humble me. I'm just looking at the situation here. I was trusted among the ones who didn't sell any information because my master has high hopes in me. I think It's the same for Nana as well. Sir Fire's disciple is smarter than me." He said as he pointed towards the other B ranked awakened. She looked to be slightly awkward.
Jacob had a relatively short height and a thinner build. He had a serious expression and a clear haircut. Looking at him would give anyone serious vibes. Nana seemed to be very different. She was around the same height as Jacob and seemed to be a lot shyer. She had big round classes and wore more baggy clothes. She seemed to be slightly more relaxed but awkward when it came to talking.

Alex sat for an unknown amount of time, Every now and then he would try new strategies of attacking if something would be different but every time, he would either be hurt or dodge the attack towards him and the shadow dodged his attacks as well.
Seemingly frustrated from this trial, Alex sat down and took a breather. He couldn't just jump and start attacking the shadow, it would just be beating himself up so Alex had to think. But even after spending a countless amount of time just thinking, Nothing came to his mind. No Ideas to defeat the shadow. It seemed like a hopeless battle.
