"Where are you going, Eris?" Ambrose asks coming to a stop at the bottom of the stairs. I give him a small smile and say "Out" He frowns at me in disapproval and says "Going out at the moment wouldn't really be a good idea. Where's your demon?"
My smile grows as I say "He's a little busy at the moment." As I step down off the steps, I come face to face with Ambrose. I look up at him and give him a warm smile as I lean in and whisper "A heart looks good on you Ambrose. Take good care of it."
He scoffs at me and asks "Are you drunk?" I chuckle and say "Of course! Who would face a dark prince while sober!?" I pat his chest and walk past him as I think 'Who would go off to their own death while sober...'
Ambrose curses and says "He will kill you witch!" I continue walking to the front door as I say "I figured as much." He curses again and suddenly appears in front of me. I step to the side and start walking around him as he says "No one will thank you. You could even save them and they would still curse you! Don't be stupid! Don't get yourself killed trying to be a hero!"
The other vampires watch my every move with sharp eyes but when I reach the door, they step to the side and look to Ambrose behind me. I grab the door handle and say "I'm no hero, Ambrose..." I open the door and walk out to see the sun starting to set.
I look around at the destruction and sigh as I step out and say "I'm just a drunk witch..." I hear Ambrose curse behind me again right before the door shuts. He's actually a decent Vampire. I start walking down the street and slowly make my way back to my car.
My poor baby was destroyed once again... it looks like someone busted out the windows and tore everything up. I walk over to the tunk to see that everything was still intact. I have a protection spell on the truck with all my goodies in it and it looks like whoever tore my car up wasn't strong enough to break it.
Maybe I should look into putting one on my entire car... if I survive. I open the truck and grab my leather, black crop jacket. I slip it on and start pulling out my thigh straps. After strapping up, I start loading up on my daggers and spells.
Just because I'm going down, it doesn't mean I can't make them hurt. As soon as I shut the trunk, I hear someone step up behind me. I turn around to find Harris dressed in swat gear. I raise an eyebrow and say "I almost didn't recognize you, Harris."
He frowns at me and quickly looks around before waving me over. I fix my jacket over my blades and walk over to him with apprehension. When I'm close enough, he pulls me close to the wall and whisper yells "Everyone is out to kill you, Hallows! You need to go back into hiding."
I smile at the human and ask "Don't you blame me for the demon?" Harris gives me a dry look before saying "I know you better than that. You're always the one killing the bad ones while most people are sleeping, completely unaware about how close they've come to death. I do want to know what happened though."
My smile grows as I say "Honestly, it's a long story but the demon needed my blood to be released from hell. I was shot by the crazy bastard who summoned the demon and then my blood hit the summoning circle..."
Harris sighs and says "I can guess the rest. It's not your fault, Hallows. Get your witchy ass back home. Not a single soul can get close to your place because of the huge Dragon chillin' on your roof so I think you'll be safe there." He leans in and sniffs before looking back at me with a frown and asking "Are you drunk?"
I chuckle and say "Yes, I am indeed drunk. I'm not going back into hiding Harris. I'm going to go fight the damn demon and try to put an end to all of this." He sighs and says "Of course you are... I'll be your back up then."
I quickly shake my head and say "I need anyone I care about to stay as far away as possible. I don't want the bastard using y'all against me." I start to walk away as he says "So you care about me?" I smile and keep walking, this time heading straight to the largest cemetery in New Orleans.
I'm surprised when I'm not stopped or ambushed as I make it all the way to the cemetery but when I reach the gates, I see a familiar face. I slow to a stop and sigh as Xander says "Everyone wants your head to make a deal with the demon."
I raise an eyebrow and look around before asking "He wants my head now?" Xander sneers and says "No, I'm sure he wants something else. All the men around you are always wanting something else." I narrow my eyes at him on that last comment before asking "What do you want to do then, Xander. Why are you here?"
He grits his teeth and says "I smelt your scent so I came to check on you. I wanted to make sure you were okay." I lift my arms and say "As you can see, I'm perfectly fine." He growls and says "You're drunk!" I shrug my shoulders and say "Yes, but why is that a problem for you?"
He growls again and says "I let my temper get the best of me last time. I know you and I know you'd never willingly unleash that demon on everyone. Whatever you're planning to do, don't. Just go back home and stay hidden."
I give him a dry look before saying "Funny, I was just about to tell you to do the same thing..."
