138 Light In The Nigh

I hold on to the Dragon and yell "Do you know where he's at?" The large Dragon 'Hmms' and says "I had to serve him for a very long time... I know his stench of evil all too well." His wings flatten and soon we're flying downward at a sharp angle.

"Are you ready little witch?" The Dragon asks as we pick up speed. I squint in the rain and say "Uh... sure. I'm going to be real honest right now... I can't see shit!" The Dragon chuckles and says "I'm going to drop you right on the demon. Three, two, one.."

I was hoping for a little more time to prep or to think of an actual plan but as the Dragon opens his claw, I go flying! I channel my shifter side a little and fly with grace but as I'm falling, I can't help but think for a split second... which demon?

I shake my head and feel like smacking myself! Obviously, it's Enzo. My stomach starts to flip as I continue to pick up speed and I start to worry. How far up was I!? I'm going to hit him and kill us both on impact!!

A few seconds later and I finally see something! As I fly straight and true, I see Enzo turn with a look of confusion that quickly bleeds into shock. Yeah bitch, I'm back! I wrap myself in magic seconds before colliding into Enzo!

I hit him, feet first with as much power as I can, and watch as everything around us explodes!! People scream as I ride Enzo like a freaking waterboard, tearing up everything around us before coming to a stop.

The glass on the surrounding buildings blowout and shatter at the power given off at impact but I'm relieved to see that no one seems hurt. He was dragging Kian behind him like... like some kind of caged animal!

I quickly glance back to see Kian standing up with a look of disbelief on his face. Good, he's okay. I glance back down at Enzo to see him struggling to breathe. I lift both hands, filling them with powerful, deadly magic that drips from my hands like liquid fire.

I connect both of my hands and begin building a massive ball of deadly magic as the crowd around us watches on in shock and horror. Everything around us is washed in electric blue as my magic continues to grow. I can literally see Enzo quickly pulling himself back together, struggling to connect his arms so that he can fight back but he won't make it in time. I won't let him.

I need more power! I want to obliviate the bastard back to the dirt he once came from! More! I need more! The sky suddenly lights up above me as lightning arcs in the sky and hits my ball of power! My eyes light up with the increase of power but when I feel my hair rising, I know I look like the freak I am.

I yell and slam the magic into him, causing everything and everyone around us to go flying! I hold the magic down on him as he screams out in pain but he's still fighting! His eyes start to lighten as he looks up at me with hatred and anger.

Suddenly, I'm hit from the side! I stumble and roll to my feet to see several demons coming to his aid. He even called the zombies... Oh look, they're moving much faster now. Enzo stands, his insides tumble out of the gaping hole I left in his chest and stomach but he doesn't seem fazed.

They start pulling back inside of him as he starts absorbing the surrounding evil. "Eris, you have so many surprises... I see you've come for seconds." I sneer at him and say "It looks like you're the one coming back for seconds now."

He smirks at me as his skin starts stitching itself back together again and says "Haven't you figured it out yet? I'm immortal! You can't kill me! You see, I shared it with your demon lover who loves you so much. Just so he can suffer by my side for eternity for betraying his own kind for a halfbreed like you."

"So that he can spend eternity in pain and suffering... I'm starting to think I should make a game out of this. What do you think, Kian? Should I kill her... over and over and over and over again!? While you stay in your little cage, unable to do anything!"

If looks could kill... Kian glares at him and says "Let me out! Settle this with me!" Enzo laughs and says "Other than not being able to die, you don't possess the strength to face me. You're like a child in terms of strength. I would just kill you over and over and over again... you see, it would grow tiresome... but you, Eris my dear... you CAN die. How many times do you think you can come back before you... don't?"

I look around at the surrounding demons, flanking him at all sides and sigh. I slowly look down at the busted up concrete under my feet before taking a deep breath. I slowly look up at him and say "As many times as it takes..." The lighting lights up the sky again as thunder cracks like a loud whip.

Enzo sneers at me as I slowly lift my hand up to the sky. If the angel really did give me a gift that makes storms bow to me... then bow! Lightning cracks again as it flies straight to my open hand! I grab the hot rope of lightning with shock.

Holyshit... It takes a little strength to hold onto but it's possible! I slowly look back over to Enzo to see that his smug attitude was now completely gone. In its place was fear... fear and disbelief. I don't really know how this works but here goes nothing!
