148 Wedding Bells

When I feel Kian running his fingers through my hair, I slowly smile and turn to face him. When I open my eyes and see him watching me with a smile of his own, I whisper "I must have died..." Kian chuckles and says "Not quite. How are you feeling?"

I slowly roll away from him and see that I was back in my room and it was midday. I run a hand through my tangled hair as I say "Fine? I did go to the spirit world, right?" Kian chuckles again and says "Yes... Are you hungry? Your parents and your brother are worried about you."

I quickly sit up and feel my neck, looking for signs of a bite but when I don't find one, I start to grow confused. I turn to look back at Kian and ask "How did I get back?" My memories are all messed up.

Kian's eyes grow cold before he says "Enzo brought you back..." As soon as he finishes his sentence, my memories become startlingly clear. Anger rolls through me as I jump up out of the bed and yell "I'm going to kill him!"

Before I even make it out of the room, Kian appears before me and says "Calm down. You need to eat something and meet with your family. They're all worried sick about you." I make a face and say "They may be my family and I care about them but... I don't do well with the whole 'family' thing."

Kian gives me a small smirk and says "It can't be that bad. I had the pleasure of meeting them before and let's just say... it could have gone better." I slightly frown in confusion before slipping into the bathroom and cleaning up.

As much as I wish Kian would join me in the shower, two werewolves and a witch in the same house would hear everything... painfully clear. I don't know about others but the idea of my parents and older brother hearing me have hot shower sex was mortifying.

After cleaning up, I walk into the living room to see them all softly speaking. As soon as they see me, my father and brother stand up. My mom remains seated and sips her coffee with a warm smile as my father asks "How are you feeling?"

I awkwardly smile and say "I'm fine... are you two okay?" They look to each other before nodding and saying "What you did was incredibly stupid and dangerous but... thank you." My father looks me over with strong emotions in his eyes and if I'm not mistaken, he was holding himself back.

Shifters are very physical by nature so I step forward and lightly lift my arms. He immediately steps forward and pulls me into a crushing hug. As soon as he releases me, Liam pulls me into a large hug as well.

Kian sits back with a knowing smile on his face but as soon as I'm freed, I step back next to Kian and say "I'm glad everyone's back and safe. This house is covered in my protection wards so nothing can happen to you while you're here."

Binx snorts and says "And if that wasn't enough, we've got a freaking guard Dragon. Glad to see you back in the world of the living but let's talk about what to do about your new husband." My smile quickly leaves my face.

I look at him in confusion and ask "My what?" Kian's hand slips to my lower back as Binx looks around the room at everyone. He shrugs his little kitty shoulders and says "Fine, since no one want's to tell her... Enzo. Your new Dark Prince husband. I guess this kinda makes you royalty now. Wait... aren't you a descendent of Queen Cara... that means that you were already a princess... kinda."

As Binx continues to rattle on, I feel my eyes starting to light up. I start walking to the door, causing everyone to panic and for them to practically throw themselves in front of the door to stop me. I look at all of them with utter confusion as I say "Move! I'm going to kill that freak myself!"

My mom's the first to scream "Noooo! Eris, no! Do not touch him." I pause at look at her in disbelief before turning around to find Kian standing behind me with a conflicted look on his face. I frown at him before looking back over to the others.

I step back a few feet with a horrible feeling rising within my heart. I turn to look back at Kian as I ask "Why? What's happened?" Kian clenches his teeth, anger, and pain burning in his eyes as my mother gently touches my arm and says "Enzo used your blood to come back to life but he also somehow bound you two together. If he dies, you die."

Rage burns through me as I look back to Kian. Kian's eyes say everything that he doesn't... I feel like my heart is breaking as I struggle to understand why the bastard would do this. As my eyes fill with angry tears, Kian pulls me into his arms and says "This changes nothing between you and I, nothing. We will find a way to fix this, okay?"

I wrap my arms around him and bury my face into his chest, taking comfort in his familiar scent. I try to calm the storm within my heart and mind as I start going through my options but halfway through, I can't help but stop and think why?

Why would he connect us in such a way and what is he trying to do? Was this so he could do whatever he wanted and not have to worry about me killing him? When the house starts shaking, we all look up to hear Binx say "He's back and oh, look! He brought flowers."

My hold on Kian tightens before I walk over to the door and swing it open. He looks down at me with a dark smirk and says "Hello, my beautiful wife. I came over to meet my new family."
