178 My daughter-in-law is strange

Sung Jun rolls his eyes. "The Council's president is our daughter."

"She saw this." Fang Aisa points at the blue tent from her window. "Why is it still here? I thought that she rejected him."

"She hasn't rejected him." Sung Jun turns the page of the report that accounts all the events that happened in his absence. Sung Nami wrote this. "I don't want Nami to go through pain after rejecting him. He's not powerful enough to take all the pain to him."

Fang Aisa frowns at him. "Why would he take all the pain?"

"Vampire King was rejected by his mate." He tells her, "He suffered alone because he didn't want Huang Qiuyan to suffer. Even after the rejection, they are together again."

"She's asleep." Fang Aisa scratches her head. "I didn't think that a true bond is so binding. In Min Ho's case, it helped him connect to Wakana. I think that Wakana was good for him. They seemed like they were made for each other, but I can't see the same thing between Nami and Klyn."

It's just not about her son who lost his girlfriend to Klyn. Fang Aisa is concerned about the fact that Klyn is a vampire and Nami is a heavenly blessed child. How would it work?

"One way or another, they will be drawn to each other." Sung Jun sighs, displeased. "I don't want him as my son-in-law either."

"You also don't want Nami to get married." Fang Aisa squints her eyes at him. "If you could, you would keep her with you for the rest of her life."

She peers at the tents again. The vampire is chatting with the angel in the garden.

Fang Aisa has a bad feeling about this.

"You have been trying for more than two decades." Klyn murmurs in a daze, "Isn't that too long?"

"He hates me." Sarie's brows curl down as she draws circles on the ground. "I did something wrong in the past."

"What did you do?" Klyn asks the beautiful angel. Her black wings represent her fallen status. They are comrades in love: both of them have wronged their loved ones. Klyn had dated Seong Won's girlfriend. It's the main reason why Sung Nami doesn't want him.

"Cleaners?" Klyn gasps. "Why would you invite them to our world?"

They are magical creatures who only know how to destroy things.

"There was a forbidden creature." The angel lets out a heavy sigh. "I shouldn't have done it."

"A forbidden creature?" Klyn widens his eyes. "That's even worse."

"She is his aunt," The angel divulges to him, "and one of the guardians. At the moment, she's in the devil's world."

Klyn presses his hand on his chest. Why is the Sung family so scary? They are full of crazy people: a forbidden creature who Sung Nami's aunt, a primordial god as her brother-in-law, nine demonic brothers, demonic goddess mother, and father is a great saint. 

How is he going to survive during family dinners after he marries Sung Nami? 

"What's that?" Sarie frowns hard when she sees a silver-haired man walking toward the entrance of the mansion. "Isn't that a devil?"

"What?" Klyn follows her line of sight. The man has bright turquoise eyes. "He smells like a devil."

"I know him." Sarie shifts closer to Klyn. "That's Choi Minho."

"Who the hell is that?" Klyn asks her with an urgent voice.

"Sung Nami's uncle," Sarie says to him, "His wife is a forbidden creature. I didn't expect him to become a devil. How does it work? He has a true bond with the forbidden creature."

When he hears the word 'true bond', Klyn races toward the man in less than a second.

"Sir, please wait." Klyn calls for him, "I want to talk to you."

Choi Minho turns around and looks at the vampire. A pureblood? He raises his brow. "You want to ask me about the true-bond."

"Yes, I do." Klyn clasps his hands together. How did this man know that he's going to ask about the true bond? "Do you still have the true bond with your significant other?"

"Yes, I do." Choi Minho studies the vampire. He blinks his eyes "You and Sung Nami?"

"How do you know?" Klyn takes a step away from him. "Can you read minds?"

"You are quick to figure it out." Choi Minho smiles at him. "Why are you asking me about the true bond when you have someone who is quite knowledgeable about these things?"

Klyn knits his brows together. "Who?" 

"His name is Jin. He helped me once." Choi Minho looks up suddenly. "Noona, I am back."

Fang Aisa has already seen him. She leaps out of the window suddenly. 

The vampire is startled. He moves to his right before Fang Aisa could step on his head. 

"I missed it," She mutters regretfully.

Klyn's eyes become round and more prominent. "Did you want to smash my head?"

"Who knows?" Fang Aisa shrugs her shoulder. 

"Noona, you shouldn't do this to your future son-in-law." Choi Minho laughs. 

"Minho, you are finally back." Fang Aisa pulls him into a hug. "How was the Devil realm?"

"Much more boring than our world." Choi Minho pats her back. "As you can see, I am a devil now."

"How did that happen?" Fang Aisa grimaces at him. "You should have become a demonic god instead."

"I need more devil cores for that," Choi Minho exclaims, "or another qualified source. In any case, I am quite satisfied with the way I am. Becoming a devil isn't as bad as I expected it to be."

"You still have the bond." Fang Aisa puts her hand on his chest, feeling his core. "Does it belong to that devil?"

"Maybe." Choi Minho cocks his head and smiles slyly. "Noona, I don't think that I can stay in this world for long. Wakana is waiting for me in the devil's world. I came here to check on her younger sister. Have you heard about Sayuri?"

"Sayuri is fine." Fang Aisa answers him, "When the apocalypse began, she was with the phoenix. Soo Hyun went there to bring her back. What about Natsumi and Soo Hwan?"

"Soo Hwan and Natsumi are okay." Choi Minho takes a deep breath. "Natsumi chose to be a demon too. They will return after a few days."

"It's good," Fang Aisa approves of Natsumi's decision. After living in the devil world for so long, a human can't remain human. "Did Soo Hwan also become a devil?"

"He is a dark saint now." Choi Minho tilts his head, feeling dejected. "Noona, your son was exceptional. What did you teach him? He kept picking a fight with the devils and kept taking their cores. It's all because Natsumi said that she would rather marry a devil than keep a weak demon husband beside him. When he achieved the dark saint rank, she was still unsatisfied because he wasn't a devil."

Dark Saint rank is closer to the devil rank. Most demons skip that rank and become devils. However, stronger devils swallow weak devils. Usually, the new devils are weak.

"My daughter-in-law is strange," Fang Aisa mumbles. "Dark Saint rank isn't bad. He will be able to stay in this world. Moon Guardian's husband is also a dark saint."

Klyn feels dizzy after hearing everything. Now, this family also has a dark saint. This rank is a cheat. It's below the devil rank and above the higher-tier demon rank. A dark saint will be able to become a demonic god sooner than a devil can. 

Why isn't Nami from an ordinary family?
