Shannon takes a deep breath. She is the only human in this meeting -- only a human who doesn't have a magical or spiritual background -- and only one who is seated on this row. On the opposite side, there are people. She doesn't know what else to call them. For sure, they aren't human.
[On the centre, the phoenix is seated.]
"Phoenix?" Shannon mutters, eyeing the tall and slim woman with flaming eyes. A shudder runs down her spine. Even though there's a distance between her and that woman, she can sense a strange pressure in the air. "A real phoenix?"
[Yes, she is the last one -- and you shouldn't offend her by staring into her eyes. Look away, Shannon.]
She follows Pi's advice. Shannon turns her gaze toward the woman sitting next to the phoenix. The woman looks human and Asian, but she has bright blue eyes.
[Sayuri Nakashima. She shouldn't be here, but I guess that nobody can say no to the phoenix.]
"Is she a human?" Shannon isn't used to talking to the system in her head. She whispers while keeping a pamphlet in front of her lips, "Sayuri Nakashima is a human name."
[She is human, but she is married to a demon.]
"..." Is there anyone normal here? Why is she getting nervous? She isn't normal either. There's something talking inside her brain. Normalcy is abnormal now.
[You are right. It's better if you accept it fast.]
Shannon leans back in her seat, keeping her eyes fixed on the entrance. Pi introduces them one by one in her head.
[That's the demonic goddess, Fang Aisa. She is Sung Nami's mother. Her mother killed several newborns and owned a cult that worshipped the god of death.]
Shannon exhales.
[That's her husband, Sung Jun. He recently achieved the rank of the great saint -- the only one who came back to the mortal world. He has nine demon sons and a daughter who is 99% human, with his wife, Fang Aisa.]
Sung Nami's family is quite interesting.
[That's Benjamin, a dwarf who is the head of the free fae who lives on earth. He is also an advocate.]
She shakes her head. This is giving her a headache. Pi doesn't stop talking though.
[That's the king of the vampire.]
Shannon looks at the beautiful man with an extraordinary aura. There's something dangerous about him. She had seen vampires in her lifetime, but none of them was as beautiful as him. He doesn't look like a maniac who is out for blood or flesh.
[He is mated to Huang Qiuyan, the last converted vampire of her own kind. She is the only one who can cast enchanted magic of the old extinct witches. The name of their adoptive daughter is Fu Mian. There are a total of nine pure vampires. Currently, three vampires have true mates.]
It was someone else's doing. They were still looking into it.
[Nell Solomon, the moon guardian. Next to her, that's a hybrid spirit who goes by the name 'Devil'. We don't have enough information on them.]
Shannon looks at the pale-haired woman who has entered with a little girl and a cat by her side.
[And Fu Mian, the blood guardian. She is training to become a blood witch.]
The pale-haired woman meets her gaze. Then, she smiles suddenly.
Shannon, surprised by the smile, purses her lips.
[There are rumours that the moon guardian can bring luck to people. If she is smiling at you, think that the moon is smiling at you.]
"..." What kind of nonsense is this?
[Blood guardian can heal any disease of any living being in the world except for those who are associated with darkness. However, that will also change. Moon Guardian is the bridge between the darkness and the light. I wish I could gather more data on them. Can you befriend them, Shannon?]
Shannon doesn't reply. She is still creeped out by the smile of the moon guardian.
When everyone is seated, Sung Nami sits up from her seat. "Today, we are gathered here to discuss the recent events and how we can lay foundations for the future. Some dignified members of the council couldn't come and attend this. I am saddened to say that many of us have lost people who were precious to us in the apocalypse. We still don't know who had caused this, albeit the culprit can never escape from us. I believe in Heaven and its' judgment. I assure you that the council will do anything to find the culprit and punish them for their crimes."
Shannon clenches her teeth. What will she do if the culprit is human? It's easy to hate vampires or demons. They are supposed to be evil. Then again, it can't be a human. Can a human cause an apocalypse? It's probably someone who is associated with evil arts.
"The moon guardian wants to speak." Sung Nami simpers politely at Nell Solomon and signals her to continue, "Please."
"I know who caused this apocalypse." Nell Solomon walks to the centre of the hall. "It's not the four apocalyptic horses of the world. As much as we know, Death is already busy with… I am not sure, but he isn't planning an apocalypse. Abyss has taken Pestilence with her. Conquest is not in this world either. Lastly, Famine has been caught and imprisoned by the Soul Guardian."
"What?" Shannon leans forwards and grabs the arms of the chair. "Famine was caught?"
[I need to transcript this meeting. I had no idea that Famine was caught.]
"Before you were even born," Devil Cat smirks at her. "You will be caught soon too."
