Chapter 43
TL-Mechatronic
She wanted to get angry without caring about anything and say, “Who told you such nonsense?!” but now is a time for listening.
“Yesterday, you said we have to dance with the flow until the end. Such thoughts never even came to me. So I was wondering if I could do something to help.”
Jean frowned.
“No.”(Jean)
He trembled with helplessness as he spoke out.
“I don’t even know how to find rare plants in Violet Forest like you. I’m not a great person like Kirill, and I’m not very helpful like General Manager Louis. Of course, I sometimes help with accounting since I know how to count numbers. But I’m not even doing that anymore.”
Nina waited for him to say something more, but Jean only looked at Nina with his green eyes. She coughed, and opened her mouth.
“You know what, Jean. This is very cliché.”
“What is?”
“Are you going to be happy if I came back that day and I were disabled?”
“What do you mean?”
Jean’s expression was full of irritation and anger.
“Do I look like that kind of person to you? I would be happy even if you came back as a mouse.”
Nina grinned at his words.
“What if I, who became a mouse, became sad since cannot help?”
“Your very existence alone…….”
Jean closed his mouth and soon opened it again.
“That’s different.” (Jean) “Different?”
“You’re you. Nina La Dell.”
“Yes. You’re also you. Jean Laka.”
He got a little shocked and muttered.
“I forgot my last name.”
“I am the Commander.”
Nina, who spoke proudly, stared at him and said, “I’m glad we have Jean. I’m so happy to hear that from you too, but you don’t have to worry. Jean being himself is enough.”
“I’m not good enough.”
Nina laughed again when Jean vaguely spoke.
“You’re perfect enough as you are. And I’m sure the Young Master will be very happy to hear that, too.”
“What? Why are you telling His Grace about this?”
Jean’s embarrassed voice rose up. Nina, who was silently smiling, lowered her gaze for a moment and lifted it up again.
“Jean, we can’t be the same. We can’t even be similar.”
He slightly frowned, but Nina shook her hand,
“No, I mean we’re different. We can’t help but be different. Me and Young Master are different, we may look at the same targets, yes. But we thread different paths to get there.”
“Is it like there are many different strategies to take over a castle?”
Nina nodded at Jean’s words, “That’s it.”
“You can’t be alone. No one can be perfect alone. We are supporting each other through our differences.”
Nina crept out her hand and took him by the hand.
“So Jean should do what he can do best. I’ll do what I can, and it won’t either be considered as lacking or overflowing.”
You’ll only have to impart what you can give, and that’ll be appropriately enough, fitting perfectly. Nina frowned and said with a stern expression on her face.
“So don’t stay up all night. Take care of your health. Eat well and sleep well.”
Jean’s face quaked and said.
“Am I being preached to by a kid seven years younger than me?”
“No. I love Jean so much that I’m telling you I need
you.”
Jean could only reply, “Ha.” at Nina’s impudent remark
He made a short sound that he didn’t know if it was a laugh or something else. Then he reached out and lifted her up and Nina said with an expression that said she was sick of him treating her like a kid.
“I’m already eating a lot.”
“Then why are you so light?”
“The spirits must have made my body strange.”
He smirked at Nina’s grumbling.
“Since you need me, I can’t help it.”
Nina opened her eyes wide and nodded.
“Of course, of course. I really, really need Jean. He put me to sleep in a bed that he heated up in the middle of the night and also brought me a foot warmer. I really loved it. I need him very much.”
Jean only answered, “Yes, yes.” then hurled her out of the bed. And Nina landed like a cat as always.
“Jean!”
As she jumped up in protest, Jean dawdled back into the blanket and said.
“I’m going to sleep more. Commander, I’m taking a morning vacation today.”
“You!”
Nina rushed in and tried to take the blanket away from him, but he desperately grabbed it.
“I’m really sleepy.” At his words, Nina puffed her cheeks and patted the blanket.
“Come out after lunch.”
“Yes.”
With his gradually sinking voice, Nina grinned and opened the window of his room. After politely closing the window outside, Nina jumped onto the balcony of her room. Then she stood on the balcony for a while and enjoyed the spring sunshine.
The spring sun was so mild that the sun touching her cheek was not hot but warm.
Looking at the soft honey-colored sun shining on the castle, she felt like she could hear the small sound of bees popping from somewhere.
The balcony railings, which had been cold all night, also had a subtle warmth.
Nina clicked her tongue.
Loverslept.
After changing clothes in a hurry and tying her hair tightly, Nina went out to the training ground.
The newcomers in the training ground were training by themselves. Nina opened her eyes wide with admiration, “Oh.” As she hid slightly and looked at how they were training, she could see the interaction between the new recruits.
‘As expected of those two.’
Kell and Raja.
The two were the most competitive in training, and the other new recruits were also attracted to it. The existing members, motivated by the new recruits, were also busy practicing early in the morning.
Then, where is the other one out of the three who stood out in the selection screening?
‘My, my.’ She saw the person training in the corner. Nina smiled and appeared. “Everyone is diligent.”
“Commander.”
“Commander.”
The members quickly stood at attention. Nina shook her hand.
“Let’s skip the greeting. Keep training. I’ll watch while you are doing it.”
At Nina’s words, everyone returned to their training positions. Nina was on her way to find her training iron sword, but someone approached.
“Commander, here you are.” Nina laughed at the other person who was politely sticking out a heavy iron sword with both hands. “Thank you, Charlotte.” Charlotte smiled shyly at her.
With her smooth brown skin and woolly beige curls, she was the only woman among the new members.
After receiving the heavy iron sword, Nina started with basic training. Nina asked Charlotte, staring from the side.
“Aren’t you training?”
“Yes.”
Her cheeks flushed red, as if embarrassed, and raised her training wooden sword. Even though their weapons are slightly different, their basic training was the same.
Nina thought basic training was the most important thing before all training exercises. The members had to fill the basic training quota set by Nina every day.
And even if they were always so burnt-out that they were close to throwing up after completing the basic training, not even a single person missed it, doing their best with all their might as if their life relies on it.
That’s because after finishing the basic training until they become mushy, Nina gives them personal training,
Raja was the first person to finish his basic training today. His light purple hair and training clothes were moist and wet with sweat, and his smartly two-sided haircut was disorganized. But as soon as he finished his basic training, he ran to Nina, shouting, “I’m done!”
“Co-Commander. I’m all done with my basic training!”
Nina exhaled a long breath. She was also sweating because she was training but asked with a smile, “Are you really done?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, then come.”
There was no need for any particular greeting. Nina’s words were light, and Raja responded and swung the sword with all his might.
Everyone stopped training and stared at the scene. Watching others fight was also a big study. And if the other person is the commander, it’s even more. Charlotte’s mint-colored eyes were looking at the two’s movements almost as if they were on fire. Kell crept beside her and whispered.
“Hey……”
“Get lost.”
At Charlotte’s words, Kell shrugged and tried to speak again.
“You know, we’re like-”
“Get lost.” “We’re in the same unit, it’s not like we can live without talking you know?”
At Kell’s words, she looked up at him. Kell gave a smile that was always easily liked by people. However, she only slipped away.
“Speak. Although I know all you’re going to say is just nonsense.”
It was quite a long sentence that was very unlike her so Kell was somehow pleased. He fully understood why Charlotte was defensive among the Dark Knights.
However, if she keeps doing this, there will be a time where she’ll have a problem with the members of the same Knights.
“You don’t need it? What do you think I’m going to talk about?”
At Kell’s words, Charlotte didn’t answer back and focused on the battle.
