Chapter 70 - Great Job

As soon as the handsome young man entered the room, Aaron who was at the side of Ellena, flew above to observe them properly. Although he was skeptical of things, it wasn't for the young man but the surrounding since he was an important person. It is his habit to flew above to observe things when there is a conversation about to happen.

Ellena shifted her gaze to the young man as she slowly ponders who was it. The young man smiled as he greeted her.

"Who?..." Ellena asked as she ponders who was the young man. He seems to be an important individual and his demeanor appears to be familiar.

"Oh forgive me." He retaliated for his rudeness manner. "Forgive me. I am Verxal Murphey, I was the leader of the force that arrived before you at the cave."

After hearing it, Ellena's wonders stopped as she finally remembers him. Memories filled her head then patched up it as she finally understood why he was somewhat familiar.

"I see… Thank you for helping me." She bowed slightly, a sign of courteousness.

He smiled before making Ellena lift her head, "Please, drop the formalities, we are just the same adventurers. May I ask what's your name?"

Ellena took a moment of silence before speaking. She was thinking if she will try to hide her identity, however, since she respects the person who helped her, at least she could introduce herself.

"I am Ellena, Ellena Lumbert." She calmly said.

Verxal slowly showed some surprised expression. Even though she appears to be a noble-looking lady, he didn't expect it to be true. He has been thinking of her identity, and as he thought, the strong lady he saw in that cave was quite strong despite the family she came from.

Lumbert family are influential family, despite they are only Count, they still have some influence since they are one of the wealthiest family.

They are not known for their talent in fighting, in history, they could just at least reach a general position in the military.

Dumbfounded, Verxal noticed he was lightheaded, shaking his head to return to reality.

"You are from the Lumbert? I guess that's why I feel you were a noble. My intuition is perhaps higher than what I expected." He said before getting something in his pocket.

"Take this, it's a pass for the family building. You can get in there easily with that so just show it to them." He added.

Ellena accepted the token in golden decoration. She just nodded before hiding it to her side.

"Thanks."

"By the way, do you have any questions?"

"I can't think of any. Maybe I'm still tired."

"Sorry for disturbing your rest." He stood up.

Ellena shook her head. "Don't worry. At least I can breathe now knowing where I am. Thank you again."

"Don't mind it. I will go back, despite the short time conversing with you, I feel comfortable with you." He said.

Ellena didn't reply immediately. She stayed silent before Verxal continued.

"I will be going for a business, sorry for the little time I could offer to you."

"It's okay. I at least like you leaving for a moment. My head is still lightheaded." She said less bluntly. Since the words she used weren't really that great, Ellena tried to smoothen her voice to change the air in her words.

Verxal just felt something in it. Despite the straight words, it wasn't rude. He just smiled before leaving the room.

"I'll take my leave. Please see me after you finally rest. I still have your things so I'll prepare it to be returned and we can talk about what happened." He uttered before finally leaving the room.

Again, the room was silent. Ellena just sighed while Aaron above was just seemingly uninterested in the conversation.

Not to the point he was bored of it, he just felt that there's nothing about it really. He can observe things above but can't get interested in their conversation.

"Aaron, what kind of family is Murphey? Maybe you know something. I want to know some information first before using my background." Ellena spoke, looking above where Aaron is.

Ellena was skeptical of things. Not to the point that she was doubting them, but just being cautious since she finally learned her lesson back in the tribe.

It was something unforgettable experience since she felt guilty when she was fighting the demon. Although there are appears to be reinforcement, she became reckless to defeat her prize. Something that she took pride in since she didn't listen to Aaron's warning.

If she didn't defeat it herself, she would be bothered by the thing that she can't fix her mistake. It was a mistake of not paying attention to Aaron's warns, so at least, she thought about defeating the demon in human skin.

"They are count family that focuses in military strength. Though they are just county and lack in territorial influence, their known family of adventurers rose them into ranks. They hire men to fight for them and help them with quests." Aaron explained.

Ellena nods after hearing it. Even it was just a little information, it was at least helpful to have her judgment on how to act. Since they are not suspicious, she thought of starting to talk like a noble with them.

"Okay… Thanks. I know now how to act since you encourage me to not be dependent on you." She said.

Aaron said it in the past few months in the mansion to not be too dependent on him since she needs to learn how to pass judgment to every situation. Ever since she was starting to learn the nature of humans, she starts to learn how to decide things, and Aaron noticing it, making him encourage her.

"I know you'll do a great job. There will be days that I'll not be with you so I hope you know how to judge things." Aaron remarked.

She felt heavy with that word as if it was a deep word of Aaron saying farewell to him. She just smiled at it and shook the idea.

"Thanks.. Now I can breath things out."
