Two days have passed and Aaron finally got bored. He decided to go out in the meantime and check the environment – anything that would help him contain his brain.
"Ellena, I'm going out in the meantime," Aaron said, breaking the curse-like silence in the room.
Ellena still has sluggish movements, a result of her recovering her stamina. She lifted her head to see Aaron above. Raising her eyebrows, she asked him.
"Where are you going? For what?" She asked calmly.
"I don't know, just checking the area. Maybe I'll find some library too, perhaps it would help me learn new things." He said.
Ellena didn't respond quickly, and for a moment, she answered. "Sure… I'll just try to get up and also check the area. I'm getting bored here."
Aaron smiled when he heard the word 'bored'. At least it's a sign that Ellena is still normal.
"Good. I'll be going." He said before leaving the room.
***
Ellena seems good. At least, her feeling bored is a sign of being normal.
I just left her in the room to check the area. In the meantime, if I can find a library, I might stop there to read. I might learn something new there.
I flew my way out of the building, meeting the vast plain flattened pale brown ground.
There's nothing new in this place, as a usual image of being a training ground. I think their family being adventurers is really great that they manage to invest in this kind of place.
I don't have anything against efforts. I think they deserve more than what they worked for if it isn't from evil ways – oppressing I guess.
I kind of hate that, it hinders people to learn more and I want others to have some knowledge of things. In that way, more knowledge can be unveiled if many people are curious about something.
I went my way up of the whole compound. There I saw 3 huge buildings with one standing out in the middle. Perhaps it's the main building. It is a 4-story building. I should check it.
Flying towards the building, I saw some unique uniforms of the guards. They look more high quality than the guards that I saw on the training ground. Perhaps they are more elite or something.
Anyways, it's not important. I should get inside the building.
I passed through them without any effort. Moving through the hall, I notice some decoration paintings of wars. There are also some shining standard armors in the way.
Really, this makes me feel like a place for those military nobles. Perhaps knights or something, it doesn't matter what term I should use, they just feel the same way.
It is like entering a mansion of a general of an army, pride is all over the place.
"Is this the family of the house?" I mumbled as I saw a painting of the Murphey family.
They consist of 5 members. Two male and 1 female child. I guess Verxal is the eldest, the heir perhaps.
Finally, I saw the staircase, without wasting any minute, I pass through it. The thing is that I might see some library here.
It's common to have the first floor for the servants so I guess an important room like a library must be on the higher floors.
Like the same, pride is all over the place. They used the accomplishments as their decoration.
It's not bad, just no comment about it. They look like boastful family to me, but I just hope that they're not.
I saw some unique-looking doors too, so I slightly opened them to peek at what's inside.
Nothing in particular.
I just continued peeking in every room in hoping to see the library. Then, my efforts bore fruit.
"Finally! A library!" I muttered in delight.
Without wasting any seconds, I rushed into the library. Although it's much smaller than the Lumbert's library, this is enough since I don't have the time to spend it here.
Due to my excitement, I picked one of the books. Well, I try to check if there are security formations or defense mechanisms here, mostly created by production rune owners who can create pre-created magic circles, I quickly opened one.
The history section, mostly about the history of the Murphey family. They are really from the line of adventurers. Since the expansion era of the dukedom, they contributed to slaying monsters in the area. Due to their contribution, they were awarded the baron title. But after so much effort, they eventually reached their current court rank, the county.
Though they are not known for any exponential background, they are trusted in the adventurers' field. Any information about monsters and existed dungeons from history is practically common knowledge for their bloodline.
Even not having full noble blood, they are still influential since they are famous in their monster-slaying corps. They hire mercenaries for a contract of working for them when they go on a mission. Even one of the family members takes a solo mission of their rank, they are still used to fill the security in the mission – making it highly successful.
Since human resources is also a kind of power, they are not deemed with negative impact because of it.
There are also mentioned Monster Slaying techniques here but it does not exist in the history section. Instead, it is in the martial techniques.
Hmm… Now that this is an important thing, maybe I can read this and teach it to Ellena if I have time. Even though it is important to have a practical teacher, this might help her.
I opened one of the books and surprisingly, I was absorbed in it. I took one of the techniques by memorizing it. Even I can read fast, I can't really memorize everything since I do it in a fast manner. My comprehension skill depletes its effectiveness the less time I read so to memorize it, I read it for 10 minutes, at least that's enough time for me to memorize it in this body.
After 10 minutes, I read another martial technique that specializes in swords. Even though I plan to recreate guns for Ellena, since this is her specialty, I have to let her know this.
As usual, it took me more time to finish memorizing it.
After an hour, I just have 6 techniques in my memory. Enough for Ellena to learn so I moved into another section.
But before I could do so. The door of the library opened. Due to my curiosity, I gazed at the figure who entered the room. It was Verxal.
I guess he needs something here.
I followed him stroll in the lines of bookshelves after it he takes a halt in a wall.
He inspected the area before touching the wall. He touched every corner of it before finally touching the side of it.
Don't tell me this is a hidden door!
I anticipated him to open the door but just before he could do so, he paused.
Oh, come on! Can't you just open it! I am curious!
Maybe restricted books of strong martial techniques exist there. Close combats movements are particularly important for Ellena since she uses swords.
Moments later while he still not moving, he shifted his head towards his back. But… I wasn't expecting the next thing to happen. He was looking at me?!
He can see me?! How?!
"Stop hiding, I can feel your presence." He said authoritatively.
No way…
