41 Rift Splitting Technique!

After the elemental tracer had completely shattered to pieces, there was complete silence in Tie Zhu's room. While Tie Zhu was not entirely sure what had happened Wang Yazhu remained quiet due to the intense shock. Although he knew that Tie Zhu would have control over each element based on his beast core, he never would have guessed that he would have such incredible talent in every single one of them. He had never heard of such a thing being possible in all his life!

"What happened...?" Tie Zhu couldn't help but ask after the brief moment of silence.

"Not bad... It seems that you are somewhat compatible with every element so you can choose from a large range of different techniques. However in saying this, I would not recommend you learn a lot of different techniques, instead learn a few of them until you can fully master their power. That's because having a technique that you have mastered will be infinitely more powerful than having many techniques that you have barely learnt." Wang Yazhu explained calmly as he hid the shock he had felt just moments ago.

Hearing that he had an affinity with all the elements he could not help but feel excited thinking about all the different techniques he could use. However when he heard Wang Yazhu's second sentence he was quickly brought back to reality as what he said had made sense.

"Then which techniques do you recommend that I learn first?" Tie Zhu replied eagerly. He did not feel too let down as he would likely have more time in the future to master whatever techniques he wanted.

"Let's see.. Considering that your cultivation currently is not very high your best chance of overcoming opponents stronger than you are with surprise attacks. With the treasures within the spatial rock you can easily overcome opponents that are much stronger than you if you can manage to catch them off guard. With this being the case the best techniques that will allow you to do so would be either lightning or spatial techniques" Wang Yazhu replied after thinking about it for a few seconds. It was rare that someone would be able to just choose what abilities they wanted without any limitations like Tie Zhu that even he could not help but feel jealous.

"Although Lightning techniques can be extremely destructive they can also serve many other purposes from providing a protective armor to greatly increasing your speed to unprecedented levels making it hard for enemies to defend themselves. On the other hand when it comes to actually catching your opponents off guard spatial techniques are in a class of their own. Although it may seem at first that spatial techniques are mainly utility based they can actually be extremely powerful, however to completely master them is extremely difficult." Wang Yazhu continued as he directed Tie Zhu towards where he had stored many powerful techniques he had come across.

"This jade slip here contains the Rift Splitter technique which is divided into different levels. I can't tell you too much about it apart from that it allows you to create rifts in space that can not only act as portals but extremely dangerous weapons where you can use them to spatially slice apart almost anything caught inside by forcefully closing them." Wang Yazhu explained. Although he had collected all different types of techniques he had never really bothered studying Spatial techniques as it would be completely useless.

As he instructed Tie Zhu about the general principles of elemental techniques he also gave him jade slips for the phantom step spatial technique and the overlord lightning formation technique. Despite those techniques not being the most powerful in his entire collection they could all be considered peerless with respect to the standards of Earth. The reason for this was because Wang Yazhu did not specifically search for these techniques but they had still somehow ended in his collection.

He even worried that the techniques that he had given Tie Zhu may have been too advanced in the first place as it would be unfortunate if he could not make any progress at all. In that case he would have to personally teach Tie Zhu darkness, water or wood techniques that he was more familiar with.

After Tie Zhu heard Wang Yazhu instructed Tie Zhu on the basic principles of elemental techniques, he could not wait any longer as he excitedly sent his conscious into the jade slip for the Rift slipping Technique to read its contents. Although Wang Yazhu had said that the technique was divided into different levels, he was only able to access the first level of the technique. 'Maybe I can only access the rest of the technique after I have mastered the first level' He thought.

After reading through the contents of the first level word for word he was able to infer that the statial rifts he created would usually just dissipate, unless he forcefully close them, slicing clean almost anything caught inside. This however would use up more of the Spiritual Essence within his body, depending on how resistant the object caught inside was. He was also surprised when he read that he could actually control the movement of such spatial rifts as well, however doing so would require a lot of concentration.

As expected of such a technique however the actual method of doing so seemed extremely difficult as he would have to forcefully rip a hole in the space itself with spatial threads that he had to create with his spiritual essence.

After closing his eyes, Tie Zhu took a deep breath, clearing his mind as he prepared to transform his spiritual essence into spatial threads.

* * *

"Huff... Huff... Huff.." It had been over 2 hours, and currently Tie Zhu was breathing heavily while he lay down flat on the floor. During the whole time he had been relentlessly trying to transform the spiritual essence within his Dantian into spatial threads, however whenever the essence had started to turn a slightly grayish color it would scatter almost instantly. Each time he failed a wave of exhaustion washed over him making him feel as if he had run a marathon, however over his failed attempts he felt as if he had made slight progress.

Although he had previous experience transforming spiritual essence into fire threads, that was largely due to the meat that he had eaten had come from a fire elemental creature.

Not willing to give up, Tie Zhu once again attempted to create a spatial thread. Feeling that spiritual essence was slowly transforming into a dim silvery thread once again he continued to feed it with a steady stream of his spiritual essence. As he continued to do so the dim transparent silvery thread actually started to change as it started to darken in color while becoming more solid.

Feeling that it was somewhat reminiscent of the fire threads he created earlier in the day, Tie Zhu quickly followed the instructions on creating a spatial rift. Stretching out the palm of his hands he quickly directed the spatial thread in an attempt to forcefully tear a hole in the space in front of him as well as the space next to him to create an opening and an exit for the rift. Beads of sweat rolled down the side of his face as he tried to maintain his concentration and control over the spatial thread, when suddenly two tiny pea sized holes appeared in the air!
