As Aldrin watched the countdown up above indicating the start of the challenge, he fixed the formation of his group.

The Guardian Ant was at the front to serve as his vanguard.

Striker and Tank a few steps behind it, serving as finishers.

And behind the two, Hitter with its composite bow ready to flurry its arrows to any enemies entering its firing range.

As for Aldrin himself, he remained in the vicinity of the Ant Statue.

With his arms crossed, his eyes reflected the whole battlefield.

He's once again taking up the Support-role.

"This is the most ideal after all. I can always command them based on the flow of the battle. Besides, I only used Shadow Clones a few times for scouting and trying out the Spider Sentinel. I'm near-full!"

Aldrin talked to himself. If someone was looking closely, Essence Grenades were clutched within his two hands.

He created ten of them and Aldrin would use them according to his own judgement.

[Wave 1/10 – Black Spider Soldier x8]

As the countdown reached 0, the passage portals glowed as the Black Spider Soldiers appeared from it.

Even though they're far away, Aldrin instantly noticed how those Spiders seemingly screamed at the statue behind him.

His guess about it being the setting was spot on.

However, by the time those spiders reached the vicinity of the Guardian Ant, its sword swung horizontally, cutting all eight in numerous pieces.

"Skip!" Aldrin hurriedly shouted.

"One point per one second? I want to say not bad but… it's too little when the stronger spiders began spawning. Moreover, since there are only 10 waves, that's too low of a bonus if it doesn't change." Aldrin instantly computed what he received and what he might receive before shrugging his shoulders. "Well, it's an added bonus. I guess that's fair. 

[Wave 2/10 – Black Soldier Spiders x16]

Although the spiders doubled in numbers, the same scene happened. The spiders that luckily didn't get caught by the Guardian Ant's attack were taken care of by Striker, Tank and an arrow from Hitter.

The next wave was just the same kind of spiders, just more durable. Guardian Ant and his Dimensional Clones took care of them easily.

[Wave 5/10 – Mini Boss: Spider Sentinel x2]

Since the fourth wave followed the same pattern, Aldrin didn't face any problem and completed it in less than one minute.

However, as he had expected, the fifth wave became special.

Two Spider Sentinel along with their small Spider Sentinel Spawns appeared from the portal.

Considering he hadn't received any IDLE Points from those spiders they killed during the first four waves, Aldrin also became pessimistic for a core to drop from the two Sentinels.

"Guardian Ant, used Fatal Shriek!"

As soon as the Spider Sentinels reached the vicinity of the Guardian Ant's skill range, Aldrin didn't hesitate to use its ability.

"Shriiieeek!"

Just like most games, being someone in the same team as him, the shriek of the Guardian Ant was reduced to a mere noise without negative effects on him and the Dimensional Clones.

However, to the Spider Sentinels and their spawns, it truly became fatal.

Those leading spawns turned over and curled up before being blown away by the wind.

They died like that!

As for the two Spider Sentinels that were the main enemy at the current wave, they stopped in place, stunned from that unexpected skill.

Well, maybe not unexpected, but they're insects who were brainless at this point.

Using that chance, Guardian Ant marked one of the Spider Sentinels as it charged forward with its sword and shield. The remaining Spider Sentinel was marked by Striker and Tank.

Hitter, on the other hand, kept pulling its composite bow's bow string while also occasionally activating its skill. Energy Arrow Barrage.

With that kind of setup, the stunned Spider Sentinels that should've given them some challenge soon got destroyed by the Guardian Ant and the Dimensional Clones.

Aldrin naturally didn't miss that opportunity, he instantly activated the Guardian Ant's other ability, dealing serious damage from the start. Although it didn't die with that one strike and even tried to wrap the Guardian Ant with its Burning Silk Threads, the Guardian Ant and Hitter's arrows were faster.

Its carapace broke open and insect juices exploded instantly, showering the Guardian Ant with it. The Guardian Ant just shrugged it before returning to its previous position.

On the other side, Tank became Striker's Support. Using the hammer and its Shield Blast skill, Tank held down the Spider Sentinel in place.

And like a quick assassin who activated a combo skill in an RPG game, Striker made use of its two sabers to deliver devilish cuts along its carapace that it ended up getting skinned.

With its flesh exposed, the Spider Sentinel became an easy target.

"Skip!"

[1 minute and 32 seconds of the remaining wave time has been converted to 460 bonus IDLE Points]

"Oh! The bonus points jumped were multiplied by five! As expected of the IDLE Database, huh?" Aldrin was overjoyed upon seeing it. In just five waves or less than five minutes of time, he acquired more than 1000 points!

"And the difficulty went up! Let me try this then."

As the new wave of spiders appeared from the portals, Aldrin conjured one Shadow Clone.

"Go, comrade. Make me proud." Aldrin threw one Essence Grenade to the Shadow Clone and commanded it to charge towards the incoming enemies.

As the Shadow Clone ran past Guardian Ant, the incoming wave of enemies was soon onto its tail.

By kiting them to one place, the Shadow Clone successfully gathered them in one area.

"BOOM!" Aldrin smilingly muttered as he watched the colorful rain of insect juices and insect parts after the Essence Grenade from the Shadow Clone grandly exploded.

Following that, he commanded the Guardian Ant and the Dimensional Clones to finish the survivors.
